I am anal retentive about the stamps I buy and about the stamps I attach to outgoing mail. I like to match the stamp to either the color of ink I've used to address the mail or to match the stickers I've attached or vice versa!

I pay attention and if I know someone likes a certain stamp, I'll go out of my way to use that stamp on their mail!

The only difference between you and I is that I don't tell on myself!

Now, I'm not sure you're human. You could be a space traveler stuck here on Earth and forced to eat our food and live how and where we do and that's bound to be annoying for a space person.

If I don't like a vendor or customer or they got nasty with me, I'll give them the crappiest stamps I have on hand.

I had to look that up as well. I am not sure if we have that in Texas.

Well that makes more sense. I was thinking something open faced.

If you put Miracle Whip on the bread before adding cheese, it makes the grilled cheese sandwich super creamy when cooking.

It is open faced Gemme, I was trying to think of something comparable across the pond to it. When I do cheese on toast I very lightly grill the bread either side, just so it has a little colour, then I butter one side and cover it with grated cheese, under the grill it goes til its bubbling and slightly brown, then when its cooled a little I drizzle salad cream over it. Ive no idea where that crazy idea came from but I love it ! Or sometimes I add Branston pickle instead.

I`m going to give US style grilled cheese a go, I`ll have to look up how to do it, its actually done in a pan on top of the stove isnt it ? I dont think we have miracle whip here.

I've known people to use mayonnaise as well but MW is better for that, imo. A grilled cheese is best in a cast iron skillet. You butter the outsides of the bread and the cheese and any other toppings/sauces go inside. Toast each side until cooked through.

I like to dip the edge of my grilled cheese into pickle juice, but I'm weird. :)

Thanks for the tip, I shall give it a try...may pass on the pickle juice though !

Well, you said sometimes you added a pickle. The pickle juice is not a requirement.

I can't stand drinking lukewarm water. I place a bottle of water in the freeze for 20 minutes to make sure it's good and cold before drinking.....

I agree. Water that is really not cold almost makes me gag.

I also prefer sparking water to plain water.

I really am not an H2O drinker but have to push myself.

I'm strange...I'd rather drink room temperature water. Or..with very little ice to just cool it down a smidgen.

Chained Daisy 06-06-2017 08:14 AM

Gin and tonic has always been `my` drink, though I hardly ever drink at all these days...but if I do thats what I like, lots of tonic, ice and instead of just a slice of lemon or lime I`ve joined in the current trend of adding berries sometimes instead, 2 or 3 frozen blackberries make the drink almost neon in colour. A slice or too of blood orange or grapefruit work well too. I also love all the fancy bottles different Gin brands are doing at the moment.

I have a hard time with change and with that being said............

Even tho I moved away from West Seattle almost two years ago, I still retain the same hairstylists and dry cleaner! Yes, you read that right I said DRY CLEANER.............LOL
