Promo for next week's episode is up. Looks exciting!

Arwen 08-15-2010 10:16 PM

I've been avoiding this thread until I could watch the taped version. I'm SO watching that again.

My stepson and I watched it together. We agree... Best. True.Blood.EVAH

Talk about taking it up a notch. We only thought Maryann was bad news.

And what's with the new waitress who is up in EVERYONE'S business?

Until next week.

No spoilers but the roof scene over Fangtasia was wildly insane. Gotta love him.

She's a witch. Not sure how they are going to play her out. Holly in the books was good - but I do wonder if they won't make Holly in the show into a bad witch.
Time will tell - hopefully within the next 3 episodes so we don't have to wait a whole freaking year.

OH GOD did you see the ornamental jar he had on the roof? Hysterical!

Okay. Next time I won't ask. LOL I didn't actually want to know yet. I love letting it unfold. I did not like the first book so never read any others. My writing partner loves these books and has read all of them. I thought the character of Sookie in the first book needed to just die and get it over with. She was like an older version of Bella from Twilight. :)

Ooops, sorry. I always presume people mean it when they ask. Should I white my post out so no other non-book-people see it? Maybe I will.

The show is waaaaaay better than the books. The characters are a zillion times more likeable in the show. And the hateable ones are a zillion times more hateable, too. :)

And now for the weather. Tiffany?

I thought I would fall out of my bed laughing. And no worries about answering. :) I did ask!

I really loved the scene between E and P where he told her what to do if... Very touching.

Russell is sooooo delightfully twisted!

I love the relationship between Eric and Pam.

Rook 08-16-2010 07:03 AM

Eric & Pam reminded me of Eric & Godric, with the difference of time together {ageism at its finest !!}

Russell..well...fucked in the head is an understatement, I don't care how long I've been with someone, how good we fucked throughout the Centuries *or millenniums, which explains why he tolerated Talbots bitchiness*, how cute, sexy & smart.....I understand his pain and grief, but I sure as fuck won't hug and talk to their slimey entrails, much less place it in a crystal Urn and carry it around....
Fuck that. :huhlaugh:
During the "news" I was real close in picking 2 Ships to follow...Eric and Russell...
The way Fucker kept talking, holding the spine for emphasis, gawds,:vampire: "We get it, u ripped it out, throw it away !"
"Don't you dare turn that camera off!" After seeing what he did, I would leave it on too...
I lost it when he casually talks to the weathergirl :cracked:

My fave part though is when the Authority tells Eric he's pardoned, that glance, a mix of stunned /surprised/ confused, added bonus of "hmm??" with a tilt of his head  ...

These cliffhangers are slowly becoming tedious, and we got 3 episodes left, someone tell Sookie what she is already, damn...
They also need to hurry and show Crystals clan's true colors..
I figure, if Tara was a royal mess before Jason showed to save the day*cue mighty mouse music*...She's gonna be a lunatic now...
I think Jesus is a were-jaguar...
Tommy needs an asswhoopin' like never before, and Sam should pay someone to do it...
Arrogant lil ingrate...
I think Lafayette's mum isn't as crazy as she seems...
Eccentric, but not crazy

:glasses:

I am still stunned by Sam's actions at the end of this last episode...where did all that come from?

I actually think this has been layered in over the last few episodes and even the last two seasons. He's taken so much and never said anything. He's never acted out. He's always done the right thing.

Season three? Say hello to the new bad boy in town, Sam Merlotte.

I just have to say that I am so hooked on this show! I haven't read the books, but have caught up on all three seasons and now can't miss it. So much camp, so much fun! I also have to say that it has been fun reading this thread and all the insight/thoughts from folks. Love it!
