Mornings are my favorite time. I brought my fountain from the back deck to the front porch. I have a door w/screen from my bedroom to the front porch. I can now open the door and hear the water falling. It's a beautiful thing.

Scoote there are ice cream places everywhere in Florida. They are across the street from all the liquor stores. Have you two spent much time in Florida before deciding to live there? A good part of the year its awful hot. I'd love to have two places- one in Adirondacks and another maybe SC by the beaches.

I cleaned fall and winter from my fountain yesterday. Went to sleep lulled by the sounds, and dreaming of breakfasts in bed.

So, omelete, coffee, and all above sound great.

Congrats Damon :ymca:

It is still dusky dawn here in southern Cali, my favorite time, yawning, and thinking..the lawn won't care if we all dance & sing

Good morning hunies and homies :)

So nice to see all the smiling faces this morning....hugs to all...and more coffee of course :bringcoffee: Belle, you're a sweetie for putting the first pot on. :)

Musicman...breakfast sounds wonderful. I made some fresh blueberry pancakes this morning with real maple syrup, so I'll add those to the spread for everyone as well. :eating: :girleating:

The music is such a nice addition to the house :) ...I love to dance around barefoot in the kitchen :) Course in my house that means you also have to work at not falling over a dog or a cat or both :giggle:

All this talk of fountains Tommi and Sachita...you're reminding me that it's time to do the annual cleanout of the fish pond on the patio. It's an icky job, but the fish appreciate it! I do love the sound of a fountain. We've got a little turtle statue that spits water into the pond....and I find it very relaxing to sit on the swing and hear the sound of the water falling.

I hear you on the snowbird thing Sachita...to me that would be the best of both worlds. Maybe one day when we retire we'll be that lucky. In the meantime our "must have" list for a house includes central air and a swimming pool so we don't cook. :giggle:

Hope everyone has a fun, relaxing weekend planned.... :gimmehug:

:lips: baby...hope you're still :alarm: and wishing I could snuggle in with you :stillheart:

good morning everyone.. well freyja I havent actually kept up on my garden.. My tomato plants need to go in the ground but its been raining for a solid week pretty much and cant get out to work with the ground...

morningstar... my family lives in Tampa Fl!! You can say hi as you drive by... enjoy your layover for a day... you know maybe there's a reason why you are there a day early!

Tommi, I was born in Maine and moved when I was 12... It is VERY beautiful but winters are harsh or atleast they were when I lived there... 3 layers of winter clothing and a snowmobile suit was too much for me... North Carolina beach would be awesome for me as a second getaway spot!! Or even a place to live... I lived in High Point and worked in Greensboro NC and miss it!! I was 3 hours from the mountains and 3 hours from the beach.. awesome!!

Ok, off to enjoy my :bringcoffee:

My bio-family lives in Tampa toooooo.. and sherrie loves Maine, so,so I am flying in to Newark, and we are driving to Acadia Nat'l Park and other places along the coast of Maine, last week of June through July 4th holiday.:sparklyheart:

I grew up playing in the Allegheny mountain snowbanks. I thawed out here while in the Air Force. Tampa is not healthy frame of mind place for me, so this is my Sunshine state of Nirvana. We did spend a week in Winter Haven Fl. with sherrie's parents and I was treated like a king..so, that was a nice FL memory.

well good luck. I hope this hurricane season isnt bad. I left Florida the year after we had those 3 major hurricanes in a row. I'm sure it effected you where you are.

If all hell breaks loose grab your tent and head north. I have 30 acres. Pick a spot and have at it!

Gooooood Morning kitchen peeps!!

What a glorious morning full of sunshine, Woo Hoo!
Thank you becca for setting up the coffee machine, you're a sweetie.

i'm missing the musicman's great spread this morning and i'm hungry.
Let me open the fridge and see what i can muster up on such short notice.
This is definitely not the spread you are all used to. My apologies.
i am sure MM will be back soon.

So.....
Here you go:
Toasted English muffins with raspberry jam, waffles with pure Canadian maple syrup and alongside that, sliced California strawberries and a dollop of whip cream. Beverages other than coffee are apple juice today, and Scoote, i almost forgot, MM always puts out Dr. Pepper for you.

And for music -
Well since the fashion has gone totally 80's style
(has anyone looked at the new footwear? omg Eighties!)

i thought i would take us back in time (just like yesterday)
Here you go.

Have a grand Sunday all!

Zimmeh 05-16-2010 06:17 AM

Good Morning Freyja,

I noticed that the 80's fashion is coming back in style to, woohoo. To bad I could never do the whole mall hair.

Thank you for breakfast and the coffee.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday,

Zimmy

Good Morning Everyone,

I was able to get an appointment at the Apple store in Jacksonville, which is closer to me than Orlando. I treated myself to some contraband food yesterday. I skimped through out the day, bc I knew that my friend was grilling rib eye steaks on the grill with baked potatoes and corn on the cob for dinner.

I am off to get ready and have a good day everyone,

Zimmy

DamonK 05-16-2010 06:39 AM

Good morning everyone.

I'm up at a ridiculously early hour for going to bed so ridiculously late.

We were up playing here on BFP until 1 AM. Then, of course, I had to read some more of TinkerBell to my babygirl before we could go "sleepy sleep night night" as she calls it.

It's awful cute.

This morning the big dog was on the bed. Not sure when she got up there, but I know she was insulted she couldn't get to her bed.

No big plans today that I'm aware of. I just made some coffee here and ate a donut to try to settle my stomach a little.

At some point I do need to figure out what's for dinner so I can get it out to thaw.

Have a great day.

Tommi 05-16-2010 07:02 AM

thanks. Love muffins N jam.

California Srawberries..How sweet it is.
Good morning from California where there are Strawberry Field's Forever....

Good morning all :)

:bringcoffee: I'm hoping that Musicman is sleeping in and not just passed out from exhaustion! I'll add some eggs (cooked to order) and bacon to the spread, and also those crispy hashbrowns I love! :girleating:

I'm actually heading out shortly to meet my best friend (more like a sister) for breakfast. She's one of those phenomenally busy people and I never get to see her as much as I like...so I'm looking forward to it. :cheer:

Still feeling all the yardwork I did yesterday...spent almost 2 hours mowing, weeding and trimming to make the jungle back into a pretty yard. I have another prospective buyer coming to look early in the week, so wanted her to see how nice the yard is for kids and dogs. :) Now I just have to clean the inside...but that'll wait until after breakfast.

:lips: :stillheart: baby...I love you.
And I just really want to use this smilie :flyaway: :giggle:
Have a good day all!

Zimmeh 05-16-2010 10:57 AM

Good Afternoon Jo Jo,

Hope you had a wonderful time at breakfast with your best friend. I just got home from Jacksonville and my phone is fixed, woohoo....

Good luck on your showing this week and sending positive thoughts that they buy it from you!

Good afternoon kitchen friends,

Its funny that the subject of the 80's should come up, because I'm watching a show highlighting some of the one hit wonders of the 80's that were so popular during the decade. I LOVE the 80's (especially being an 80's boy), so hearing some of these songs bring back fantastic memories. I don't need an IV today, so I have My pepsi beside Me and am just waiting for My dad to finish cooking lunch ~ eggs and bacon *nummy*

I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday, its gorgeous outside and the sun is shining ........ it doesn't get any better then that :D

Tommi, did you see the photo in my gallery?
Sweet luscious Cali strawberries dipped in dark chocolate.
We have to import them because ours won't be ready until June.
Will you please bring us a snack plate tonight? Please pretty please?

musicman 05-16-2010 12:59 PM

hi honies and homies,

Thanks to freyja for taking over the breakfast in my absence. I'm back up and running and amongst the living.

Freyja, not sure about breakfast tomorrow so you might have to take over the duties for a little bit hon.

Musicman

JustJo 05-16-2010 05:14 PM

Good evening hunies and homies :)

I had a wonderful time with my friend today...breakfast out, then a trip to the flea market and a long chat over lattes. :cheer:

:chef: Dinner tonight is old fashioned chicken and dumplings...served in deep bowls so you can sop up all that gravy :eating: :girleating: A nice green salad...and I'm thinking brownie sundaes for dessert :giggle: And...of course... :bringcoffee: a fresh pot of coffee, with decaf for the ones who can't caffeinate and sleep.

:lips: for my baby...wish I was at the beach with you right now... :stillheart:

freyja 05-16-2010 06:57 PM

Evening kitchen peeps,

Why thank you, Jo, for the decaf. Probably a good choice for this addict.
Sleep is a good idea too. Not so sure over caffing myself is a good way to end the day - buzzzzzzz

Musicman - i will take a peek into the kitchen in case the breakfast has been laid out. If not, i'll check the fridge for some ideas.

See y'all in the morning.
Nite.

freyja 05-17-2010 04:14 AM

Good morning!

*girl checks for Musicman and pouts*

Okay, i'm up, it's early, and i have had a cuppa coffee.
Yes, i can do it, at 6 am nonetheless :D

How about i start breakfast and when Musicman or Jo come in after me, they might want to finish it off with the items most of you are used to?

This is my selection for a Monday morning breakfast:
Toasted cinnamon raisin bagels, light on the butter, with homemade fruit salad on the side. OJ today. Vanilla yogurt with homemade granola.
Cannot forget Dr Pepper for Jo's hunnie, Scoote.

Have a great Monday everyone!!!!

And another old fave of mine:

Zimmeh 05-17-2010 05:26 AM

Good Morning Everyone,

Freyja, breakfast sounds delicious. Thank you! I am going to finish breakfast for you. I am going to cook the eggs anyway you all want them, crispy hashbrowns for Jo Jo, and Canadian bacon.

I will take some of the yummy fruit salad and coffee....

Have fun today!

Zimmy

Zimmeh 05-17-2010 05:32 AM

Good Morning Scoote,

Just keep an eye out for me speeding past you in my Saturn car, hehe. When I was driving up to Jacksonville yesterday, I was doing 80 on I-95 and had ppl staring at me, since most of them think Saturn cars are driving by the elderly. When I got to the Apple store, I was listening to PitBull, the Cuban rapper and had several ppl look at me, I giggled and walked into the store. Gotta love living in conservative Central Florida..

How was your Sunday?

Good morning kitchen dwellers :)

:bringcoffee: Thank you for getting breakfast Freyja and Zimmy! Looks like our Musicman is still super busy. I'll just put together a tray of breakfast...maybe a couple...one for Music, one for my sweetie....anyone else sleeping in today who would like a little breakfast in bed? :eating: :girleating:

Mmmm....I do love toasted cinnamon raisin bagels....or asiago cheese bagels....always a difficult decision!

Back to work for me today...the weekend just seemed to fly by. At least the yard is looking good, but I still need to do my housework and laundry. Between yard work Saturday and playing Sunday I wasn't as productive as I would like.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day....I'll be back.
* heading off with a tray of breakfast in bed for my baby * :love1:

Good morning homies and hunnies..

I had a wonderful weekend with Damon. We did very little and just vegged out. He starts his new job tomorrow and works his last week at his current job.
I'm so happy for him. I know it will be a little time to get used to him working second shift but I know its perfect for him to be able to go back to college.

So all this yummy food I can't decide what to have. Maybe a little of each. Zimmy may I have cheese in my eggs scrambled please? Thanks!

Sets out :bringcoffee: for everyone who hasn't had any yet.

Hugs to all the kitchen dwellers.

Zimmy!! I have a Saturn also! What color is yours? Mine is white. Although I don't drive 80 :giggle:

Becca .... Off to work again yeah!

Good morning Becca,

Cheese in your scrambled eggs coming up and your welcome! I have a 99 Saturn that is gold. I love my Saturn and I am hoping that GM doesn't get rid of them. Good to hear you had a wonderful weekend with Damon. I begged yesterday, my first day off from babysitting since May 1st.

Have fun at work,

Good morning again... :)

Envying your walk morningstar...thinking I need to get one of those today too since the day looks reasonably clear and (maybe even a little) sunny.

I had to laugh at the Saturn thing....I had a Saturn stationwagon :carride: for years and loved it. Finally sold it to a friend and got a Fusion, which feels almost fancy after years of the Saturn. Funny thing is my friend is still driving that old Saturn...and approaching 300,000 miles.

Mrs. Strutt 05-17-2010 01:41 PM

Happy Monday, everyone..thought I'd stop in and say a first-time 'hello.' I make homemade chocolate chip cookies today if anyone is interested :)

It poured buckets this morning here, but that's okay because we really needed it. Of course, now it's hot and muggy out, but welcome to Florida :theisland:

*sigh* My fellow Saturn drivers...whatever are we going to do now that the boneheads at GM have gotten rid of our car company???

Pretty Woman 05-17-2010 02:23 PM

Chicago Info Anyone??

Hi Jo,
Since it seems that most all pass through your kitchen for food, friendship and java I thought that I'd post here on information about Chicago from a BF POV?
Going there June 4-8 for some work...ugh...but would like to rescue myself and have a little fun while I'm there.
Anyone??

Heya Pretty,

I went to Chicago last October and went to Gino's Italian restaurant, Navy Pier and the Reagle Beagle restaurant. I would reccomend riding the trolley from Navy Pier to the Reagle Beagle. I brought a coffee cup from there abs I enjoyed walking on Michigan Avenue.

It was a wonderful time and I reccomend it!

Have fun there,

Zimmy

Going there June 4-8 for some work...ugh...but would like to rescue myself and have a little fun while I'm there.
Anyone??
