I am looking, this weekend is Homecoming for Tennessee State University and all of the resonable and not gross hotels in the downlown area are booked or have the prices way jacked up. Coukld you be more specific on how much you could pay on the top end?

No Darth we haven't "met" until now. How's Memphis treating you. We just became Tennesseans this time last year. Still trying to find my compass so haven't been able to seek out community here. But things are settling down for us and it would be nice to develop this. :tea:

Hi Alphadaddy, belated welcome to Tennessee. I've been a Tennessean my whole life. Born and grew up in Chattanooga, moved to Memphis in '91 for college and haven't left. As far as I know, the best b-f community in the state is in Nashville - they sometimes have get-togethers and such. Good people.

Don't know the specifics about cost of living across the state, but not really a factor in my moving. I'm from east Tennessee, and want to get back closer to "home". Plus, I don't like Memphis, so will be more than worth it to spend a bit more living somewhere else.

No Lafayette is north east of Nashville...I'm originally from New Orleans but have spent all my teens and most of my adult life on the west coast. We moved here 1 year ago from Florida where i had resided for about 4 years prior to our move. Haven't really caught up with any B-F folks in or near Nashville yet. But it has been a busy year for us...now as we get settled hope to make the aquaintance of the B-F community near us. Where is east Tennessee are you looking to move? Thanks for the welcome!
