Admin-

I read back over my post and don't see any difference from other posts in this very thread. Quite frankly, I'm one of several individuals in the thread who identified grammatical errors as so called "pet peeves." I'm taken aback at the insinuation that my post is bullying or poking. As far as I know in my brief time as a member here, well-intentioned, innocuous kidding is an integral part of communication within any community.

Please refer to the section of our TOS where we discuss intolerance and specifically bullying and poking at other members.

For the record, I also reviewed the rep note that you left for another member here and want to make it super clear to you that you are about to find yourself on a lengthy time-out if you continue to use the forums here to play "mean girl" or "unnamed target".

While it's fine for you to be irritated that people are not posting, spelling, or using grammar the way you want them to, it is NOT OK to use this forum in a way that might make other people feel ashamed or ugly about participating here.

This is a diverse community. People sometimes misspell things. People sometimes use sentence structure creatively. People sometimes use a bunch of ellipses......................
Hell, some of us can barely read or write but that doesn't mean we are not worthy of each other's basic respect. Bottom line? Please think about how what you post might feel to someone else before you post it. And if you are doing that shit on purpose? It's shitty.

Appreciate your cooperation!

Sparkles-

My moderation is not up for discussion and I do not appreciate you acting as if you don't know EXACTLY who and what you were making fun of.

There is not a fucking thing that is "well intentioned" about copying a member's font and posting style, making a shitty, mocking post about it even if couched in self-riteous "helpfulness", and then repping another member as a "high five" about who it might affect.

That shit? It's mean-spirited as fuck and exactly the kind of high-school bullshit that we do. not. want. on this site.

You can have a 1-week time-out to mull it over.

Thanks,
Admin/Medusa

Making tea and realizing somebody put a carton in the fridge that has 3 drops of milk left in it.

TheMerryFairy 02-27-2013 01:43 PM

Smudgey, greasy fingerprints all over the screen that are beyond avoidance of notice when the sun hits the tv.

TheMerryFairy 03-02-2013 02:49 AM

Slurping through straws just to be a pain in the arse. I don't think I've ever done this and if I do then it's fair game to be tickled.

macele 03-03-2013 11:39 AM

remarks made about online relationships, groups, ect., ... not being reality. it is for me. it's not face to face. but it is reality. i'm the same person online as i am in person. i don't tell everything about myself. i believe in privacy. but this is reality. it is real.

KCBUTCH 03-03-2013 12:08 PM

I really dont like it when people move things and dont tell me, since my memory is very object orientated If its not where I remember it I may never find it

TheMerryFairy 03-03-2013 03:23 PM

Dirty dishes stacked in the sink and leaving multiple cupboard doors open for hours until somebody else closes them. It irks me.

Ginger 03-03-2013 03:33 PM

Some fonts are hard for me to read, and it really gets my annoyed. It helps to be able to enlarge the font on a computer screen, especially if there are no paragraph breaks and it's one big chunk that my little brain can't hold all at once, so I pause, think, then lose my place when I go back.

TheMerryFairy 03-04-2013 03:48 PM

Going into a bathroom and seeing that the toilet paper roll hasn't been replaced.

That irks me too! Also people leaving half filled carts abandoned in the store. I can understand if you have a child tantrum to deal with but other than that, at least put things back!

Rockinonahigh 04-08-2013 09:05 PM

On of my pet peeves is the garbage/trash pileing up,I have beed places in public or private that the trash has pilled up then stinks to high heaven..even buggy.Yuck, don't people care about the health and safty issues from such a mess.

TheMerryFairy 04-09-2013 11:28 AM

Mostly empty plastic bottles/cans left out on the counter!

If you are done with it, either put it back in the fridge or rince them out and put them into the recycling bin!

cinnamongrrl 04-09-2013 01:06 PM

Litterers....now that the snow has melted I see where our roadways are just swimming in trash....I dreamed I was out there cleaning an especially nasty place.
So I think I will pick up a nearby area that is truly an eyesore...and also the gateway to a public drinking supply...

TheMerryFairy 04-09-2013 01:40 PM

People who stand in lines trying to decide what they want. I understand it can be a big decision and it can take some time. I am pretty laid back.

After 10 minutes and you still can't decide between iceberg and romaine lettuce? Skip it or toss a coin?

*Apologizes for subway rant* I am not feeling well and I always manage to get stuck behind someone this indecisive when I am sick.

Me too.

If sentences run on and on, I have to just pass them up. Seems to be a computer thing mostly. Maybe it's the backlight? I like using little dots....helps me gather my thoughts... and it tickles me that it creates such a stir! Who knew??! I like the pregnant pauses....... lol

Sweet Bliss 04-09-2013 02:15 PM

pet peeves

little stuff doesn't bug me

it's the other stuff. like being rude. being a bully. now that bugs.

ONLY 04-11-2013 11:45 AM

not a pet peeve but.......annoying using internet from phone because my fingertips click on the wrong spot I am trying to click :|

wahya 04-11-2013 01:30 PM

lack of communication..Drives me crazy. I like to talk things out with everyone.

Winter

Yesterday I went shopping and got 3 new sundresses and a nude lace dress, and they're all short, and you can't wear a bra or boots with any of them. I woke up today and looked out the window, and it's snowing. (Sigh)
I got everything together to run a pile of errands, made extensive plans to drive all over town and get my to-do list DONE.
I log onto facebook quick before running out the door, and I hear the snow outside is now a civil emergency. The roads are undrivable, people are crashing all over the place out there. Half the places I need to go are shut down.
Not my job. I'll be there, watching tv by myself, in the middle of a civil emergency, because nobody is going to come out in this.
It's April! Mid-April!
Winter is my pet peeve; snow, ice, cold, being stuck inside.
Ugh!
Thanks...

TheMerryFairy 04-11-2013 02:05 PM

People who chew loudly on the phone when calling to book an appointment. If I can't hear what you are wanting to book, it is hard to make an apointment. Oh and when I politely say that "I am sorry, I am having trouble hearing you", it does not mean scream with your mouth full. *Sigh*

cinnamongrrl 04-26-2013 11:36 AM

I don't know if I've said this already...but I thought of it just today...

Sticky bottles..jelly, maple syrup, honey etc

Crusty bottles...mustard especially...gotta get rid of that awful mustard scab....

and last but certainly not least...

Dirty work stations

girl_dee 04-29-2013 09:04 PM

my thoughts exactly

my co-workers are not very clean folks

i vacuumed during my lunch hour the other day, i am sure it's the first time in the 5 years they have been in that location it has been done

the good news is it's contagious, people have started clearing out some clutter..

example..

5 broken shredders piled up in a corner... :|

i can't work in that mess ,,,so my office space is WAY nice now!

~baby~doll~ 04-29-2013 09:11 PM

Doctor's who keep you waiting an hours past the time of your appointment. I know things come up but this is the third time out of the last four visits from this one. There can't be that many emergencies can there?

TheMerryFairy 04-30-2013 12:36 PM

When people opt to eat on the go while walking and then stop every 10 seconds because they can't do both at the same time; especially when I am on break and trying to get back to work before I am late.

Ascot 04-30-2013 12:57 PM

Clean the effin' lint trap in the dryer!

Cid 04-30-2013 01:54 PM

When someone pulls out in front of you while you're driving and then drives slow...grrr.

PoeticSilence 08-03-2013 12:35 AM

People that leave water running or lights burning in empty rooms.
Litter and other wastefulness.

girl_dee 08-08-2013 09:02 PM

misbehaved kids in restaurants!......

PoeticSilence 08-08-2013 11:57 PM

When movies are filmed in the dark and you can't really see what's going on. Especially when a lot of the film is that way.

Rockinonahigh 08-09-2013 02:36 AM

awhen someone borrows something then forgets to return it promtly or when it dose get back to me,is dirty or messed up(broken).

Bad_boi 08-09-2013 07:58 AM

i kinda feel the crumbs in the butter is just more than "crumbs in the butter".

kinda feels like it's just a tad disrespectful of the others who share the "butter." i am working on not taking things like this personal myself :)

i am home most days and do most of the housework and sure i have time to take out crumbs but that's kinda not the point on the receiving end.

but YES, life is so much bigger than crumbs in the butter. :)

Just take your butter from the other end, or spoon the jelly out:byebye:
