:koolaid: Morning Lofters!! Morning Peepers!! :rrose:
:tea: is ready, got lots of extra cups! Well, I'm still limping, finding new bruises, my pedicure is ruined, my cute little toes don't look happy this morning. They are scraped and scratched. I keep banging my hurt elbow, ouch. Beware of truck liners folded on ground, mimicing shadows of trash bins... could jump up and knock you down. It's a government plot to be sure. :cigar2: Okay knee is throbbing, gonna go prop it up again. Have a glorious day ya'll :jester: Thinking of you Morning Star, sending happy thoughts! :rrose::rrose::rrose: |

hope you heal quick... MsBliss... im sitting here in the daddy recliner, with my knee up on a pillow. im soooo anxious to get bk to work. but hard to do when i can't bend it well yet. |
Ha! have figured out how to prop my knee and goof off on the threads!!
Yes, I am a BFP junkie. Love yakking bout nuttin. Oh how I enjoy a fresh cuppa tea Ms Star. Such a nice way to begin or end the day. Today I think I'm gonna try and set up a painting station for myself. Got loads of little things to paint, might as well do them while I can't walk around much. I am none too thrilled that I'm gimpy, can't get into Grace to start putting up insulation. Gives me more time to figure out how to do it. Well, anyhoo, I don't have much to gab about this am. Gonna make a roast for dinner I think. I made a chicken stew Monday, gave the girls some stew juice for their kibble, they love my cooking. Okay, I have no idea where everyone is lately, seems lots of folks are moving, getting together, busting up, changing jobs, graduating from school, continuing school, banging up body parts, and all manner of things. It must be Spring. Bo chased the bad kitty out of my yard again this morning, she was so happy to chase something! Well ya'll stay in one piece okay? Safety first!! :goodluck: |

a painting station... mmmmmm ... good idea.. now let me see if Dutch would go to my truck and get my painting stuff.. lol .. my apt. on wheels.. its all there. only 2 miles away too. i dont think i can climb up in there yet. im scared of rehurting myself. i found this most awesome green tea with a hint of peach in it... been drinking it like crazy, its great hot or cold.'Dutch is a huge tea drinker. :) |
Green peach tea?? Sounds yummy!!
I made a batch of decaf black tea, no lemons  I like lemon in my tea. Oh, yes, set up a paint station!! What else do you carry with you? We should talk. I bet you know all kinds of stuff about traveling on the road!! Maybe you should write an ebook about it?? Put it on Amazon? Sounds like a winner to me!! Well, it's nap time for ME. getting sleepy and tired. Finished painting the hall closet. Looks and smells much better. Need to figure out some stuff about Grace. Am gonna sleep on it today. :vigil: Keep the porch light on... |

lol a ebook?? lol .... will c .. lol there is a super market in my area "Wegmans" they have the most awesome tea selections.... 3 aisles of it .. lol prices range from $1.99 to h $19.79 , they sell bulk teas, there was some asian guy going thru these teas that were in nice hard box's and selling for $10.00 .. i was tempted to ask him if he knew how good that was , being 10 bucks a box.. lol anyways....... in other news.... ya know i mentioned last night , that while Dutch was gone to hr mustang club thing, i was napping. and when i woke up ... i woke up to this girl on american idol ( yes i fall asleep with the tv on heh) anyways...... i was sooo soo IMPRESSED ... i mean she was super amazing i was in such awe.. giving me a big smile, and yeah i get weepy over that song... but holy crap..... she smoked it.... i hope she wins.. cause she is amazing. i swear i don't know why some things like this makes me weepy |
mawwwwning loft dwellers and the peekers Dutch took me out to the truck yesterday early evening, aww and it missed me soo much :) . we picked up some things like a bunch of my art supplies heh, and there is another missing avocado in my truck. I swear as god as my witness I know where i put it, but i couldnt climb up in there and Dutch couldnt seem to spot it. *sigh*... then we went to the Supermarket... I had fun driving one of them scooter cart things, and then chinese take out for dinner, watched a movie together. :stillheart: I think i stressed my knee a little with all that cuz its had a nagging kinda light ache even after my meds for a while. :( |

I think SB is referring to the 60 and over thread.... :phonegab: Don't you worry SB we'll keep the light on for ya, and a warm seat on the porch. :rrose: Whoo hooo! Ms Star, you got your art supplies?! You are gonna have so much fun. Keeps me from going stir crazy. Plus I have all kinds of new goodies. I barely rolled out of bed this morning. I am on the short side so the goober sisters keep hitting my bad knee with their 2x4 tails.... oh ya, mucho hurto. Now if I had cha whoa whoas instead of giant goober Italian Mastiff and Yellow Lab, they would smack my ankles instead. That I could stand. Oh well. They come in real handy when strange men are around working. :jester: It's called the FEAR FACTOR. Well, things should get into gear soon. I am hoping to tie down all the loose furniture in Grace soon so I can get her new :blueheels: on, and fill her up with go juice :koolaid:. Lordy. Think I will hang out in Florida for a while. Not sure I have the :trampoline: to make a long trip right now. We will see. Okay, gonna go haunt my usual thread haunts... later ya'll keep it real! |

Strong Butch is having fun recovering from a fractured pelvis I read, must be some kind of warped constellation doing the Macarena. Good grief. Hello Charming Lee and Heavenly Angel, ya'll need to drop by more often, I miss the activity that used to be here. Must be Spring FEVER. Well, getting down to the wire, still not done. Have lots to do yet. Maybe I will go hang at the Beach and do the interior between dips. Or maybe I'll just take a nap under a palm and work on Grace at night... maybe someone could drop by and share a beer or two?? Oh well. I'm tired, gonna go lie down and rest my knee and watch stupid movies for a bit. :rubberducky::rubberducky::rubberducky: |

Thoughts
60 here nearing 61 well not that near.
Times are certainly different at this age. I now wake up when I used to go to bed and go to bed when I used to go out. I have more visits to the Doctor's in a month then trips to the local bar. A hot night out is now sitting around a backyard fire pit. Oh and my favorite time of day is nap time. I still love my partner's and sex still rocks. Hugs nice meeting you all. |
Afternoon Everyone!!
Oh, speaking of knees, mine is complaining again. Drove Grace to fill her up, my knee is screamin' now. I am short and can't reach the accelerator easy without tensing my whole leg. Freakin AAAAA it hurts. Gonna purchase one of those foot pedal extensions.... Or I will never be able to drive her. Lordy. Welcome Fayedoll, I have often wondered how poly works. Never done it myself, have often thought about living with 2 or more friends, like a commune kinda thing. If the right balance was struck it would be kinda nice to have nice folks around to share your life and home with. Kind of like 'The Waltons' I'm thinking. Or Little Women. Or some other sweet rated 'G' movie. Swiss Family Robinson or something. A girl can dream can't she? Well, am making roast for dinner, all the trimmings, a salad for me. Not much interested in heavy food when spring hits. Tried that Greek yogurt, boy is THAT good! Yuck, knee is throbbing, gotta go ice it. later gators!! |
Afternoon all, am exhasted and it's only 2pm. Where is everyone? Ms Star are you okay? Seems everyone is out of commission or out of sorts.
Okay, well, just stopped to say HEY! and wish you all well. I need a frosty. To bad so sad Ms Bliss. No frosty for you today until you get Grace ready. Okay, going back at it! (f) |

YAYYYYY!! just some sprained / pulled tendons, a bruised bone, and just some time to heal and keep doing my PT excersizes ... why is that word always spelled wrong?? *sigh* ... soo one at a day at a time. Mr Leonard has been soo super fabulous thru all this and putting up with me. :stillheart: . :) |

It seems like most of the threads are dead at times also. Like you said, I don't know why. Great news on the MRI results!!!!!!!!!! |
It's good to see everyone getting better. I've been down with abscessed teeth. Thank goodness for antibiotics. Back to work tomorrow. Stay well.
|
Wonderful news Morning Star!! Now all you have to concentrate on is getting better!!
Whoo hoo!! You will be ship shape in no time!! :hangloose: Hi Galahad, glad to read you are on the other side of tooth pain! Cuddles, happy to see you! I don't feel like the LonePoster now!! :rainbowAfro: Been painting and trying to figure out how to get my insulation to stay on the ceiling without spending a fortune. Think I will have to spend a small fortune after all. ugh. :canoworms: Oh well, just gonna focus on the walls for now. That's doable. Later gators!! :fastdraq: |
Sweet Bliss...I'm trying to understand the difficulty in getting your insulation to stay on the ceiling...and I know you are probably giving me a look at this moment.."laughing".....the foam is easier and I'm not sure if it's less expensive or not but let me know...maybe I have some suggestions.

Good morning all - I'm new to this thread. I've been 40 since January but have only recently come to accept it.
Mopsie, I'm over 50 and have yet come to terms with the fact that I'm not in my 20's...come to think of it...not sure I act like I am either. |

I hope everyone is having a nice day |
Sweet, I don't know what type of insulation that you have, but you might consider using some cheap paneling under the insulation, to help keep the insulation up where it belongs. Mind you, then you are liable to have to figure out how to make that panelling look good, though.

It's Fry day !!!

Thank you Nadeest, the artsy finishes are a no brainer for me, the hold it up part is what throws me. So here's what I'm gonna do until I can do it with something more sturdy. 1x2 along the indent over the windows 1x3 vertical length of the windows 2x3 across the intersection of the 2 strips vertically now there is almost a 3 inch gap created. now i will staple heavy canvas to stripping (8 ft), exact width of ceiling surface lay the insulation inside canvas cavity, attach ends of furring strips to 2x3 pieces staple canvas to wood for leakage prevention canvas is now giant painting waiting to happen!!! I can do the same to the lower walls, etc. I think it will work. The hard part is preventing the girls from using it as a jungle gym. Note to self: trim their nails pronto. Okay. Back to drilling holes in 1x3 pieces. Wish me :goodluck: :koolaid: Back to Home Depot..... |
Morningstar has been in the hospital the last couple of days with a staph infection in her bloodstream. She is doing better but can't get on the planet on the hospital WiFi.
|
Thank you for letting us know about M.Star. I hope she is out of the hospital and back on the mend.
