Good Morning everyone! Another week starts again....joy of joys...but...I am happy it is starting since it was a long time in between gigs for me. Had a cold all weekend so I lounged around watching movies and moping. I did manage to pull my self out to get my hair coloured...after all a grrl has her priorities!

Zimmy, good luck on the microbiology...and I have no clue what you are talking about lol. Morning, hope your week is good as well...Durrrr not sure why you were nominated but okayyyy....Jo....we miss you!!! And we miss Scoote!!! I really miss the banter between you two lol. Don't forget us!!

Good Morning Everyone,

School has gone to the back of my brain for the second. I have some family probs that I am dealing with. It was so bad on Labor Day, that my mother wouldn't stop crying. My bro's ex g/f and the mother of his 3 year old daughter moved to the Fort Lauderdale area without telling anyone to live with some guy that she had met off of the internet. My brother came unglued and had to borrow the money to get an attorney and take her dumb ass to court. So needless to say, my classes are suffering right now but I am working very hard this week to catch up.

I am thinking of a huge breakfast this morning with whatever it is you all want and plenty of coffee....

scoooteeeeeee... Good to see you.. well I had imagined you both were busy settling in and trying to get the house situation sorted.. and with the kids starting school, etc.. nods.. Good to see you back for a bit though. Also, I have to say (looks around for Jo).. the above story made Me laugh.. grins.. I am glad you had nice time regardless.. I was in FL for a year.. and never made it to Sanibel.. however, I hear it is lovely.

Thank you for the early Birthday wishes.. ah yes.. old age.. I might be plotting that line as well My friend.. laughs. Honestly though, I am good with My age.. however, there are times I just look back wonder where all the years have gone.

Oh and another surprise.. I am working on a plan right now to meet My girl in FL at the end of the month.. soooooooo.. you both might be meeting Me as well... smiles.. I already have the time off work.. right now it is just getting a good flight with good times.. so we can maximize our time together before she is off on her cruise.. keep your fingers crossed.

Wow.. I am sorry to hear this. That has to have made your Brother just red hot and worried about his daughter. I can not even imagine. Especially knowing that the ex just took off and is moving in with someone she barely knows. Doing it on your own is one thing.. involving a child is another ball of wax all together. I will keep your family in My thoughts.. especially your niece.. because she out of everyone is not old enough to make a choice as to where she resides...nods.

Zimmy, you also have to take care of you. I understand you are upset for your Brother and worried about your niece and Mom too..but you have to try your best to keep at those studies.. as best you can.. or talk to your professors and ask for a bit of leeway until you can get back at it full steam. I know it is hard to put your worries aside and keep your nose to the grindstone.. I have been there .. especially in college.. however, just do the best you can.. and like I mentioned let your professors know if you need some extra time with things.. I found that when I clued Mine in.. they were more than willing to give Me some help rather than see My grades suffer.

Also, you have friends here.. and I am sure all of us.. would help in some way if you needed.. so please do not hesitate to ask.. you can PM Me.. if you need any help with your studies.. or just to talk. ok?

Good evening everyone :) and there's plenty of lasagna left over, so that's what we're having tonight. :chef2:

It has been busy, with lots of adjustments, but overall we're getting it sorted out on the important stuff. The boys are getting along as well as two teenage boys can (which means flying objects and fart jokes mixed in with the companionable silences and real conversations.) We've lost two cats in the move (one still in NY and one shortly after we got here)...but the remaining critters are settling in well. And, even though annoyingly slow, we're actually making progress on the house.

Sanibel and Captiva were beautiful...and I loved seeing the dolphins and manatees...wading out waist deep into the gulf to hunt for shells. And...bulging neck veins aside...I didn't jump over the front desk and slap the clerk (richly deserved and ooooooooohhhhhh so tempting)...so I did good! :bomb:

Absolutely can't wait to meet you MStar and Jake....and I'm happy to help research airfares if needed. :) And I hope things work out in the family Zimmy...that kind of thing is so hard to take. It always amazes me how many people don't think of their children first.

Rooster is going to be stealing my laptop soon...but I'll try to do better at dropping in! :)

Thank you! If Jo Jo hadn't found me that riducuously cheap flight, I would have had to take a Greyhound bus home from Seattle...

I am doing a lot better this week and I am truly enjoying my classes. I told one of my group members that she needed to either shape up or ship out. Thank you for the support and I will be going to court that day. The hardest thing about all of this, is that next Tuesday the 21st will be her 4th birthday and the first one that my family will not be celebrating. My bro did the best thing and that was hire a lawyer. I am looking forward to Pride in October, when a few of us from the dash site are going to get together on October 10th and have a blast.

Scoot, if you, Jo Jo and the kids want to attend then come join us and help us make Orlando never forget us...Hehe...


How are you doing tonight? I am off to study for my anatomy class and take the 2 quizzes and submit my homework for this week..

scoote.. laughs.. you know .. you and I both laugh and chuckle about the "old age" thing.. however, the scary part it.. it is so very true. It is like when you first get up in the morning.. and all those aches and pains.. from sleeping in one position all night.. start to pop and snap.. laughs.. ah well.. you know in the grand scheme of things. .. we could all be much worse off.. yes? smiles.

I still think my great-grandmother said it best when she was in her 90s and people asked her how she was...she always said "every day above ground is a good one." :)

smiles. I am glad you are doing alot better this week.. and you are welcome. That is just a shame ... having her go through her birthday with all of this going on. You know I would like to say.. well she is 4 and she will not remember it.. however, kids these days are alot more "savvy" and pick up on things I think.. than even when I was that age... I remember bits and pieces.. however, even My niece and nephew remember things from a young age.. I hope there is some way to let her have a special day.. even with all of this going on.

Oh and you are right.. the best thing your brother could have done was getting that lawyer.. he needs to get everything hammered out and down on paper..

That is cool that you are going to "do up" Pride in October.. that will be a nice break for you from your studies and all of the family stuff going on.
