Damon, Becca, morningstar, Zimmy...so good to see you all here. Oh! And Prettywoman too....didn't see you there right away. I love Chicago...and I say ditto on Zimmy's advice about Navy Pier...although I was partial to Joe's BeBop Cafe (incredible barbecue.. :girleating: ) You can also take a water taxi around town...which I thought was a fun way to get from point A to point B and get a little tour too. Course, it's been about 8 or 10 years since I was there...so things have probably changed by now! I hope you have tons of fun!

The water taxi sounds like fun. By the time we were done with our training class, we didn't get to the Navy Pier until about 5 minutes before it closed. But our group was able to take pictures and have fun.

I am going to set up breakfast for us. This morning we have cold cereal with all varities of milk, crispy hashbrowns for Jo Jo, toast, fresh Florida orange juice, coffee, tea and soda for those who drink it.

They were looking at me funny since I was listening to PitBull, and singing along. My friend's daughter tells me I don't know how to drive, and she doesn't have a drivers license. I have to remind her that I lived in Orlando fir over 7 years and you have to drive aggresively so you don't get ran over.

why is it..... you go into a public bathroom, and your the only one there, sometimes, all doors are open except yours....... why is it someone coming in there to use the bathroom.. picks on YOUR door, the only 1 closed to try and go in there???? when all other doors are open with NO one in them.... WHY???? why ?? is that????

I am not sure how to answer this question. I can only think that this person must not realize the door is closed, but maybe they are thinking the potty will be flushed when you are done?

Is this Chocoholics UnAnonymous? Woohoo!!! My fave chocolate is from Godiva and I love their 85% dark chocolate and their 72% dark chocolate truffles...Now I am going to order some from their website on Friday...


You are welcome Freyja for breakfast. I have a recipe book and I am going to start cooking from there. My favorite dish to make is Arroz con Gandules, which is a Puerto Rican dish and I pair it with grilled chicken and broccoli.

I asked the lady at the Saturn dealership here and they said that Saturn had bought themselves out from GM. I have owned two Ford vehicles and I am a Saturn owner for life. Those two cars were nothing but trouble and I traded the first one, an 84 Mustang in for my first Saturn, a 97 SL2; which I was able to beat Mustangs while racing them in Daytona Beach, hehe...I gave my second one, a 95 Escort, to my aunt and bought my current Saturn, a 99 SL1 and I cannot be any happier.

I am hungry this morning, so I'm gonna add some oatmeal (the real kind, not the instant :giggle: ) with raisins, walnuts, maple syrup, and brown sugar all set out so you can dress it up how you like it. Also, I'm craving a sausage and red pepper omelet....so I'll be happy to do some omelets to order as well. :chef:

morningstar you made me laugh this morning...I have noticed and wondered about the very same thing. All I can chalk it up to is my magnetic personality :) You must have the same thing going on!

Freyja...in this house we consider leftover chocolate chip cookies acceptable breakfast food :winky: ...just sayin' :cookielove: Looks like an awful lot of us are :chocolate: fans around here...so Mrs. Strutt sure knew how to make an entrance!

Good morning! I'm fired up today! I'm cleaning, throwing shit out and storing the peace in my home. I hate housework. I really do but I hate a messy unorganized house so I'm forced to do it. It's a toss up between hiring a maid and doing to lawn myself. lol- I wonder if my lawn man can clean? Oh hell... I need to just do it and quit bitching.

Need some positive light tho...

My niece is having surgery tomorrow and I'm cleaning and pacing. Truth is i'm scared. She could have cancer and they are removing a large tumor. I have an older dog that I pray will not suffer and pass in his sleep peacefully. Another dog may have bone cancer.

BUT even with all this and the recent events of my life I am feeling remarkably strong, focused and full of love. I'm just simply watching the Universe and relinquishing control.

Sick animals, sick people, and a sick need to have a clean house at the same time. WOW..I can relate. Just put 13 year old Dusty, the beautiful long haired black kittykat to sleep after a two month siege with jaw cancer.

About your neice and cancer. It can be a nasty disease, but if caught in time, life sure looks good. Millions of folks get that wake up call, and smell the coffee, and reallly do enjoy every cup..I just celebrated 6 years on May 15..Endometrial cancer diagnosis was a shock to me. I always thought I'd get prostate cancer.. ;):outfield:

Dinner's almost ready...

Baked chicken, yams with just a touch of brown sugar, fresh corn on the cob and a little lightly steamed broccoli. Maybe some scratch biscuits?

No clue on dessert....although there is a gallon of rocky road ice cream in the freezer....(shame on me, but today was one of those days :giggle: )

Hope everyone slept well. I'm gonna' grab a litte piece of that leftover rhubarb pie for my mid-morning snack....and a plate of hashbrowns and ham for right now. I'm hungry...and wishing I could go back to bed, but have a (maybe) busy day today.

I've got a few "must do" items for work, and may or may not have a prospective buyer showing up at some point to be determined (you're hearing the ticked offness, aren't you?)....we'll see, but it means I have to clean and tidy as if she's coming just in case.

Probably time for me to hop in the :bath: and get moving...sigh....
