I definitely feel too old for partying. I did more than my share starting in my teens and up until my early thirties.

asphaltcowboi 02-02-2016 09:43 PM

new years eve parties :whoop:

imperfect_cupcake 02-02-2016 11:37 PM

I don't know about too old.

However I don't have the energy or attention span anymore for very loud and very crowded. I don't want to yell to have a conversation and I hate people bumping into me all day/night.
So parades, concerts, live bands in bars... Nope. I get bored and irritated very quickly.
And as much as I love huge mega cities, I no longer do shopping in the core. Getting shopping done on Oxford street in London was torture.

Bubala 02-03-2016 01:22 AM

Mediocrity in every way.

RockOn 02-03-2016 02:56 AM

silly games gamers play

Gayandgray 02-07-2016 08:24 PM

I'm seriously too old for head games and drama.

Same. Which is a shame because sometimes I actually want something from a Hot Topic (I am trash) but I'm turning 30 in less than two weeks and I'm not sure it's legal for me to enter a Hot Topic anymore. (At least they have online ordering these days.)

Something else I'm too old for: getting emotionally invested in fictional relationships and then worrying about whether these gals will ever get out of Subtext Hell or if I'm biting down on queer bait again.

Kelt 07-04-2016 07:32 PM

Too old to be bothered...

I'm 42 and I shop at Hot Topic. I guess I'm trash, too.

I never got the memo that at a specific age you quit expressing yourself the way you choose to. I actually got a reminder that my Hot Cash can be redeemed starting Wednesday. 😉

What do you (and TL1, who dropped me a rep comment) buy there? I'm waiting on the new RWBY merch that just got announced.

Dresses, band shirts, decals, nose rings...

Recently, I bought some retro early 90's looking sunglasses and a Harley Quinn perfume. *Shrugs* Whatever, I like?

Blade 07-04-2016 08:14 PM

I've bought A couple of jackets there before and a shirt or two. (Not character related)

I'm 42 and I still shop there. Though now it's twice as costly since my teenager is shopping there with me. I got the call about the hot cash too- not that I remember where I put it. Can they pull it up by phone number? I *love* that they called to remind. I get so annoyed when I find "cash" from other stores with mystical dates that have passed.

Sweet Bliss 07-05-2016 10:13 AM

Buying the BS.

GeorgiaMa'am 07-05-2016 10:22 AM

I can no longer wear metallic eye shadow because I don't like the way it accentuates my crow's feet.

Happily, if this is the only thing I can think of that I'm "too old" for, I must be doing pretty good.

Unhappily, I've been thinking about this for about a week, so clearly it bothers me, probably more than it should.

Bèsame* 10-23-2016 09:29 PM

Having to explain, Rocky Horror Picture Show.

To my boss? "I don't like scary movies"

Ok, your not that much younger. Must be a west coast vs east coast phenomenon...lol

ProfPacker 10-23-2016 10:30 PM

No, we have Rocky Horror Show here...Let's Do the Time Warp...

Canela 10-23-2016 10:35 PM

Speaking in slang or colloquialisms (sp)...

The blank stares I'm awarded beg explanation and I'm reminded that although it's still basically English, it's not "their" English.

Smh...My bad...

I used to go to the mid-night shows from the age of 18 on...we could smoke in the theatre, throw toilet paper and rice, squirt water, sing and dance all night.

Fun times!

My daughter is going to her first Rocky Horror on Thursday. If I can free up my evening I'm going. I'm not too old. I repeat. I am not too old.

Nah...it ain't a thang. If you wanna wear metallic eye shadow, i think you're old enough to wear a little makeup (lol...reference to my teen years).

Crow's feet are merely maps for young'ens to follow. Ya think folks remember maps?

See it as the blank stare of ignorance on their faces.
It ain't on you. It's all them!

I agree with you, deeds.

TL1 11-06-2016 09:32 AM

Nothing really......

Time and experiences change me. My likes/dislikes as well as what I am willing to put up with or not put up with....or do and not do.

But I don't feel "too old" for anything.

Wrang1er 11-06-2016 01:01 PM

I feel too old to sleep on the floor/ground. I can get down but I may not be able to get back up.

I'm 55 and can still pass for someone in their thirties and can get away with shorter dresses...although I don't shop at Hot Topic. Lulu's (online) has some really nice outfits.

introverted1 01-02-2017 07:05 PM

Honestly, I don't feel that I am too old for anything...
