What made me smile today...
marking another big ol' red x on the calendar ~ 17 days until Cancun! the sunshine is back shining bright today. seeing the azaleas starting to bloom |
left-over angel food cake for breakfast.
in a couple hours it will be nice enough to be outside for the rest of the day. Yard work always makes me smile. Finding peace in letting go completely. |

What made me smile today....
Hearing "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence on the radio today, and it flashing me back to kareoke at the Oakland Bash. Me, G & Goofy singing backup for Candace... all the way across the room. Swaying, singing "wake me up, can't wake up, save me..." with cocktails in hand, with the biggest smiles on our faces. Good times... no, make it, Great Times! |
our crazy felines that sit out on our porch and then when the door is open for them to come and go as they please my male cat is sitting right where he always sleeps...even though he can go out and be outside lol guess hes persnickitty lol

I've always had a strange fondness for the show Little house on the Prairie. Today I got to meet Melissa Gilbert. I think I just might smile about that all day tomorrow too. :D

What made me happy was:

I finally have a job interview to go to. After being out of work since July of last year, I have a chance to get a job. Wheeeeeee!!!!
After all those applications. Wow. I have never been without a job since I was 15. Scary. |
I would have every reason to frown today: My car--- won't start. Had to send my daughter to school late with a note, walking, and she wants a new Mom because of this. I am so late for work. But I am smiling, because the coworkers I have at work are amazing. Someone is coming to pick me up from work, and I will just work a shortened day, and get a ride home! Gotta look at the bright side, even when things look so dark... (worried about my car though, because the battery is fine, the fluids are ok, and nothing happens when I turn the key...)

Waking up to a warm kiss and cold wet hair dragging across my face.. heh..
Stumbling into the kitchen and finding the coffee still hot... With my cup sitting right in front of the coffee maker.. ready for me to fill it.. The fur kids romping in and out.. in and out... Except Mr. Pootie.. He only wants out if the door is closed.. Beautiful day and sweetness in my heart... Sigh... Lovely... |
