How is the sweet corn down your way Miss Katz? We don't seem to have a good selection up here this year for some reason!

I prefer the bi color corn myself, but I'll eat whatever if it looks good enough!

I've CUT THE CORD... meaning, I've cancelled my cable subscription with Spectrum. I'm looking now to buy a TV antenna! I'm old enough to recall having one on the roof of my parents house and the advent of cable way back when was like a technological miracle! How ironic that here I am now looking to go OLD school!

Anyway... anyone else gone this route? Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Thanks! :)

JDeere 08-17-2017 12:50 PM

The sweet corn was very delicious, homoe! It's locally grown by farmers nearby who farm by organic growing standards. (f)

...since you insist on knowing

Instinct for Sunshine (canned and dry)
artichoke/kalamata hummus, crackers, oranges, coconut almond butter...body wash and deodorant...:bath:

RockOn 08-23-2017 08:21 PM

four new 275/55 r20 tires ... I was looking at one that was on sale for $159.00 each ...

Then the salesperson said he had four brand new General Grabber STX tires in that size that were on clearance for $35.00 each. The regular price was $169.00. I bought the last four. They have a 60,000 mile warranty, look good, ride great.

Christmas in August, imagine that!

JDeere 08-23-2017 08:50 PM

Candy for the folks and I
A new shower sponge

homoe 08-27-2017 11:37 AM

Not today but last Thursday on a day trip to Port Angels I bought lunch at a sandwich joint, several Native American themed postcards at the Northwest Native Expressions Art Gallery, fall postcards at the Visitors Center, stickers for letters and cards at Jim's Pharmacy, two slices of pizza at Strait Slice Pizza Company, two greeting cards to sent to a certain someone who shall remain nameless, and some white chocolate that I dare say is as good as if not surpasses See's!

Kätzchen 08-28-2017 07:20 AM

Your day trip sounds like it was wonderful homoe, and that White Chocolate sounds delish! Very nice! :)

The other day, I had to go on a few errands and found myself wandering through a Powell's Book Store and bought a few post cards, one or two greeting cards, and they even had hard-to-find Wonder Woman postage stamps, so I bought a few of those, as well as a few interesting tiny gifts from their end of summer sale bin....... for a certain someone special :hk28:

In other news *lol* I'm curtailing my spending for a few months because Christmas will be here any day and I'm also frantically trying to resolve a tricky apartment issue (my latest bone of contention).... so my spending habits are officially leashed up properly, as of today. :|
