Looking forward to the Eggggstravaganza tomorrow night with all who can attend! We have the baskets, grass for them, candy, and a pair of fuzzy socks and a little notebook for each one. All we need now are the hard boiled eggs folks are bringing to the party to "dye" for!

Remember, spaghetti/garlic bread/salad for dinner at 6 p.m. and egg dying starting about 7. There are 50 residents in the nursing home we are taking them to. According to the folks working there, about 20 residents don't get visitors. We are also putting together a candy filled basket for the staff. We thank everyone in advance for bringing a dozen eggs (eggcept out of towners traveling in) already boiled and looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night!!!

Pup and Oiler

I thought I'd RSVP'd, but I can't remember! Chad & I will be there with 20 eggs (4 casualties) and two bags of grass, 2 dye kits, and diet Pepsi. Looking forward to seeing everyone :)

Thank you to Glynn and Denise for hosting a fun event. Food was good. Company great. And, you know what? It felt darn good to do something for someone else like that. So thank you for opening up your home and my heart.

Much love to you both! Me

Puplove 04-23-2011 12:01 AM

Hey everybody!
We're going to go hand out easter baskets tomorrow morning, in case you want to come along. The catch: the home is in Cedar Park. You can come meet at our house first, I'm sure Glynn will be making waffles or something (I don't do that morning thing, so I don't know what you people do when you gather and talk to each other when you first get up).

Text or call one of us if you want to go, or just show up here at about 10, we're leaving at 10:30.

You-know-who will be in town next weekend.:koolaid: I'm off on Saturday. Eyeore's Birthday:jester: was on the list but has been kicked to the curb.

Soooooooooooo, we thought we'd do a bbq here except I don't have a bbq. :| Silly HOA rules about not burning my neighbors down!:readfineprint::fireman:

We do have a pool here and could have an impromptu pool party.

Or, does anyone else have a better plan? He'd love to get to see y'all while he's in town. For some reason, trash talking and all, he likes you people. :|

I'm training (finally! four months after getting the job!) this coming week and will have a 40 plus hour work week (yay!) but I think my only day off is that Saturday. I promised I'd take a day for my boss and she mentioned giving me Sunday but nothing was finalized.

*sigh*

Some days, my office is just not big enough for two Geminis and all our multi-idosyncrasies.

I'd love to do something if it is. If ya'll can't think of anything else, we have bbq pits here and a big ole pool. No jacuzzi though. Private theatre. Xbox. But no jacuzzi. That Indian restaurant we never checked out. But no jacuzzi.

Nina 04-23-2011 07:17 PM

my son is in austin this weekend for a wedding of a law school friend...

it's almost like I'm there...

(well, in crazy-ninaland) "almost"

Hmmm...know anybody who has a jacuzzi?
The Hot Flash dance thingy is next Saturday, I believe we promised someone we'd go to that...
I mean, if you know of anyone who has a jacuzzi (even if it only fits about 4 people at a time), pool, Wii and a bbq....hmmm...it seems like there was someone...

I just wanted to say that I had a lovely weekend with all that were around! The faces on the residents was absolutely priceless! Would love to make it an annual thing for sure, especially pitching in more for things! It was great seeing everyone again, and having the delight (not) of meeting durrrrr. Thank you for the laughs, chatter, food, and much more...and thank you Puplove and Oiler for opening up your home once again!

Mucho hugs

I think it is a signature of Austin. We take care of our family and others as well. I was thinking today that it would be nice to adopt a facility or a classroom or something. We could do this sort of thing at Glynniece's muahahaha more often.

I have reported your indescretion to Nayru and Batman and Flynn. They demand an apology or treats. Or both.

We thought about having a housewarming/both birthday get together thingy in mid-May but we just haven't put the effort forth that would be required in planning such a thing.

Ebon's birthday is May 14th and mine is May 31st. My boss' is June 15th and her daughter's is May 3rd. There's some birthdays up in HEAH!

If you squinch your eyes juuuuuust right....oh, nope, sorry. That's the hairy guy next door.

:|

Flynn is NOT a doggie. Batman isn't either. He's a face and ear washing machine. Nayru is a doggie. I shall apologize with bacon to her soon.

Gemme 04-23-2011 08:25 PM

We need to decide where we're eating tomorrow. Suggestions (not Chili's)?

You are just racking up the wrong kind of points with Flynn and Batman. And you haven't met Vinegar yet.

And ennnh to Chuy's. It's a bit noisy.
