Jo - will keep fingers and toes crossed for you that you sell your place and can get your booty down here stat! I have a lot to do in the new two days. Our daughter is "graduating" from preschool on Friday and they are having a little ceremony in the morning, so I need to figure out how I am going to get godparents/kid/spouse/self's hair before then. *sigh* Seems like only yesterday I was wiping spit-up off my shirt :crybaby: |

Hello kitchen dwellers :)
I've had a heck of a day. It's looking more and more impossible to sell this house. At this point we've pretty much decided to rent it out...and I just want to get moved. Sitting here with a coffee...with a nice shot of Bailey's...an occasional indulgence. The soup is smelling wonderful. I took yesterday's roast chicken and turned it into stock last night, then into the fridge overnight so I could skim the fat and cool the meat. Tonight it's almost all the way to cream of chicken soup with rice...my son's favorite. Music...good to see you. I hope things calm down soon for you. We've been managing breakfast (and I especially like the froot loops morningstar...seriously...they're addictive!), but it's just not the same without you. Mrs. Strutt...such a sweet event! Seems like not so long ago I was doing the same with my son...and now he stands as tall as the tip of my nose. :giggle: Time flies... I was out checking the rhubarb this morning...still not quite big enough but getting close to pie size! :) So, let's see...dinner tonight....there will be homemade cream of chicken soup with rice, a green salad, biscuits....is that enough? :chef: If folks are really hungry, I could raid the fridge and see what else is there! |

Braedon...hey buddy how bout we:drunk:tonight...for medicinal purposes of course..flush out the system...hang out on the back porch,watch the fire burn in the pit and just chill i have to say i am a bit upset..im not sure how many of u know bout my crab we found..but anyway i went out finally bought it a 10 gal tank,2 friends crab food...fixed up a nice home for them and now the lil bastard wont have anything to do with me..talk about ungrateful...everyday after work i would come home,put him in my hands,blow onhim and then he would explore my arm,chest belly..now wont even peek out of shell....maybe i should have this in the whine thread....honey??? *walks into the kitchen and grabs a cold Dr Pepper* so im laying in bed,trying to go to sleep listening to Law & Order and i start thinking bout my crab--i know i know i cant explain my weirdness---anyway....im thinking and thinking then like a lightbulb coming on i realize that that is NOT woodie in his shell...so i jump out of bed,run into living room and dig them all out from under sand...low and behold i pick up one of the "new" shells and there my Woodster is...IN ANOTHER SHELL!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
now i dont know if he gave it up willingly or was bullied out it,but if it is the latter i may just ended having steamed crab as an appetizer--gonna have to keep my eyes on them closer to make sure everyone knows their place. ok im going back to bed now...sweet dreams all |

Gooooood morning and welcome to the Thursday edition of Rise n Shine.
Breakfast this morning is a light and easy version - plenty of foods that are close to the earth. My offerings this morning are: strawberries, pineapple slices, green seedless grapes. For protein, i made some hardboiled eggs, since it is very important to have protein at every meal, and if you have to dash out of the house on the way to work this morning, please grab an egg on the way out. Eat it in the car at a redlight if you have to, but get the good stuff in ya. Your body will thank you with sustained energy throughout the morning. Instead of processed fruit in the form of juice, i have sliced a wonderful orange - succulent and bursting with sweet goodness. i thought i'd skip the grains this morning and give our body time off until the next meal. And if you have to dash off - don't leave without grabbing a nice Macintosh apple off the table. They are my most favourite apple of them all. Okay, so it's Thursday and one sleep left to the weekend. We have a long weekend up here in Canada and i am thinking we are coinciding with the Americans on this one - your Memorial Weekend. Ours is called May 2-4 weekend, but it is also in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday, by our ties to the Monarchy and the Queen of England. Lots of fireworks this weekend, i hope the weather is good, i sooooo want to take my camera to the waterfront for some shots :) Okay then, have a fab day all..... girl sneaks off to the fridge to grab her piece of chocolate cream pie (ya i know, me, the health nut, but but, but.........) i had an email request from a dear Butch that was fond of the 80's just as myself. So in his honour, i went back to 1980 for one of the top songs in that year. For a little twist - i found a gay montage to go with the music. Enjoy folks! |

I do confess that I snuck in a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel though (and left them on the counter for anyone else who's so inclined :winky: ) Braedon, I'm glad you came to hang out with us...and Lady P too...I always find when I'm stressed out, or feeling down, it's a big help to hang around nice folks...and we've got lots of those right here. :rrose: morningingstar...I have a big fat doe (a deer...lol...always wanna' start singing that song)....hanging out in my back yard. She's figured out that she can live in the woods between the houses and the park and, since she's in the village, no one will shoot at her. No clue how long they live, but she's raised alot of fawns on my fruit trees. If you want venison....I might be able to help you out :cheesy: I'm glad we have the mystery of the anti-social crab all worked out :spider: ...and I may have solved my housing issue as well. I gave up on the sale thing, and listed my house late yesterday on craigslist for rent. I had 4 emails last night from interested people, and 3 more already this morning. It's hard to find a rental in this school district, and almost impossible to find one that allows pets...so I may not have a hard time finding a good tenant. It's not what I wanted...but it'll do. I'm off for a :coffee: refill and a little work...but I'll be back. Have a great day everyone....and :lips: for you baby. |
