Good Evening Ladies and Gents,

Well, I have spent the last hour hanging Christmas window clings and ornaments out in the birch tree. Tomorrow, we are going to put up the Christmass trees and the rest of the decorations. I cannot wait!!!

I am leaving some hot cocoa, tea, and coffee with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and chocolate shavings for the hot cocoa.

Night all!

Zimmy

Zimmeh 11-27-2010 07:59 PM

Our neighbors and us all had breakfast for dinner. We had pancakes, sausage <links and patties>, scrambled eggs, english muffins and croissants...I had two pancakes and some eggs with a cup of French Roast coffee....Needless to say, I probably won't be eating breakfast in the morning!

Have a good night,

Zimmy

Good morning everyone :)

:bringcoffee: Just a quick pop in to say hi this morning...the Rooster and I are headed into Orlando to visit my ex-boss/still friend who is vacationing there at a very snazzy hotel...to enjoy some lunch and play time in the pool and lazy river. She just called to tell me that their "kids club" is making shark tooth necklaces at 2 p.m. (she knows my kiddo so well!)...so we have to be sure to be in time for that!

Hope you all have a great day...and take care of Scoote if she pops in...poor thing is still feeling sick, scratchy sore throat and all congested. :cough:

lipstixgal 11-28-2010 09:16 AM

Sounds like a fun day to be had by you two Jo and Rooster. Its cold and sunny here today wish it was warmer so I could go get my knitting needles for my knitting circle which starts next week. Maybe tues it is suppose to get warmer!! Going for that second cup of coffee with splenda and cream.. get well to Scoote take some sudafed for the congestion I think that it is going around!!

katsarecool 11-28-2010 11:50 AM

Just dropping in for a late second cup with some ole friends. Have fun Jo and I am so jealous!!! I love the Lazy Rivers! Wow! Ok, I miss Florida for just this reason!!

I think I will have a Colombian blend with Half and Half and slenda to get the day kick started.

Oh dear me you knit? I love this hobby and art form. Wishing I had some nice scarf type yarn here at home right now. What are you knitting?

Last year I knitted a cool scarf with matching beret; the harvest dark earthy tones that was fuzzy type yarn. What a mistake! I have a knee lenght feminine pea coat made of wool and that stuff is all over my coat. It will take hours with the lint brush to get it clean looking again. I will make sure to wear the scarf with my jacket which is made of a shiny fabric. But it does not match very well. LOL

I hope everyone has a lovely day!!!

Knitting is very soothing for the soul and adds to the wardrobe as well. If you have any questions please do not hestitate to ask. My mom taught me to knit when I was about 8 years old. My first project was a scarf for my then three year old brother. Good luck and enjoy it. I enjoy crocheting too.

I just came into the kitchen to see what was going on and to have a cup of hot chocolate. It is rather cold here in the Atlanta area and that would hit the spot. Hmmm! Delicious!!!

JustJo 11-29-2010 08:52 AM

Good morning everyone :)

:bringcoffee: The coffee pot is on, but hot chocolate sounds wonderful as well. It was one of those "tough to wake up" mornings around here, and I'm wishing I was still in bed. I have a conference call shortly though...so no such luck!

Hope you all have a wonderful day, and that it isn't too hard to be back at work again! :gimmehug:

:lips: baby...hope you feel better today...

Zimmeh 11-29-2010 10:16 AM

Good Morning Everyone,

I agree with Jo Jo about having issues with getting up this morning. This crazy weather is making me feel blah..I have my micro lab final on Wednesday morning at 8am and then I have to start studying for my anatomy lab and lecture finals...

Thank you for the coffee Jo Jo!!!!!!!!

Have fun today,

Zimmy

Good Evening lovely Kitchen patrons,

I am pleased to see everyone had a peaceful weekend.

scoote, My friend.. feeling any better? There is a nasty bug going around up here too.. knock on wood.. I have not gotten it yet. However, I spent most of today with a pounding headache.. I had to take Ibuprophen and sleep most of the day.. and it is still there.. although it is not pounding as bad. I also just tried a little dinner.. I was not able to eat all of it.. however, I got enough in Me to keep Me alive.. laughs.

Speaking of knitting.. I miss watching My late maternal Gram knit and crochet. She made some beautiful pieces of work.. or art as I like to call her creations. We still laugh to this day over these hats she crocheted for us all. They weighed a TON and were so heavy they flopped over.. laughs.. however, they kept out heads warm.. and that was the point. There was no way of getting out of wearing them either.. because every time she would see one of us kids.. she would ask where the hat was.. laughs. I miss her.

I hope everyone is having a peaceful evening.

Here is some :tea: and :bringcoffee: because it is cold out there.

Waves to Jo, scoote, Zimmy, kats, morning, lipstix

As Always,
Jake

katsarecool 11-29-2010 05:55 PM

thank you jake for the story of your grandma knitting hats! sorry for no caps. typing with one hand cause i have a high maintenance kitty on my lap!

Zimmeh 11-29-2010 06:13 PM

Good Evening Jake,

I got into doing crossowrd puzzles because of my grandmother and I enjoy it. My oldest niece got the craft gene from my mom and when her and her brother were down for the summer, she made me a butterfly and a "I love you" plaque out of crayola clay. I now have to find some good quality acrylic paint to paint them with. Try taking some Aleve and see if that helps with your headache and I am sorry that you don't feel good.

How was your weekend?

Hugs and have a good night,

Zimmy
