pancakes and bacon!

Breakfast for brunch (I want peppered bacon, too)

I’m trying out a new-to-me way of making breakfast biscuits by using cut up biscuit dough and diced mozzarella cubes mixed with fresh dill herbs and minced garlic: you mix it all up then make little biscuit balls and bake them off in a muffin pan. I’m going to make creamy scrambled eggs to go with the cheesy biscuits. Coffee cream and stevia. Maybe some almond butter too.

a leftover baked sweet potato

Breakfast

I had bought these new Crave breakfasts and we both enjoyed them. Two eggs with sausage, onion, cheese, green pepper. Coffee. We both enjoyed them.

Orema 02-04-2024 05:10 AM

Oatmeal with coconut flakes, apple, walnuts, cream, spices.

I almost always have the same breakfast, boneless, skinless chicken, and a big cup of coffee. I try to start the day with protein; coffee is just for fun. Sometimes I make eggs and greens with rice and a big cup of coffee.

Avocado toast
coffee w almond creamer(homemade)

I have been trying the "Just Crack an Egg" kits, and they are better than I suspected they would be! I was hesitant to try them at first because I tried microwaving eggs in a coffee cup a few times and it wasn't very successful. But these turned out pretty okay, I think because of the wet ingredients that are included.

Normally I would not be willing to pay for this level of convenience (I mean, how hard is it to make scrambled eggs with ham and cheese and onions, really?) but it saves me a trip up and down the stairs because I can use the upstairs microwave and keep the eggs and kits in the upstairs "beer fridge". It's worth it to save the trip on my knees and get to have a hot breakfast some days.

My wife took me out for a breakfast date at Cracker Barrel.....I had the chicken fried steak with gravy, sawmill gravy & biscuit, & eggs. YUMMM.

The "eye candy" was scrumptious, too!

Naan bread, dipped in olive oil with zataar and an avocado. Water with a few berries added.

Cottage cheese and the sweetest blackberries!
Coffee with heavy cream. It's like dessert coffee.

I’ve been doing something similar to what you’re doing, Orema!

Lately, I pan toast (in evoo) 1 circular round of caramelized onion Naan and then I split a small avocado and use half of it on the Naan. I even do two small over easy eggs, to go with it. Very tasty and it satiates my first of the morning round of hunger.

I’m also mowing down on Kara Kara organic oranges .

Happy Wednesday!!

Thanks for the Naan bread hook up. I’ll try that soon.

I’m converting to a Mediterranean diet from a low-carb diet. So far, so good with more grains, fruit, fish and carbs. I’ve gained a couple pounds, but my doctor asked me to try it till I see him again in 6 months..

This morning I’ll have a thick slice of banana-walnut bread with peanut butter and slices of bananas on top. Some Greek yogurt.

This morning I had a throwback childhood breakfast. It's the only thing my dad could cook, so if he was ever in charge of breakfast for some reason - or any other meal - this is what we had.

White toast with mayonnaise topped with pork link sausages and a slice of cheddar cheese

It's really kind of not so good to most people, so don't try it, but I love it and I have to have it a couple of times a year.

Kätzchen 03-02-2024 08:38 AM

Avocado Blueberry mixture that is mashed up together and spread over a round circle of Naan that I pan toast in evoo.

We met a friend at a Cub Scout fundraiser at a local veterans’ club. The small scouts took our orders and brought us our pancakes. Service was terrible but earnest. Every table had its own whipped cream.

Early morning work store wide breakfast meeting. There were thunderstorms. It was fun. Catered breakfast.
I had scrambled eggs, bacon and one big pancake. ( no syrup) I made a breakfast taco with my pancake. Let me tell you...that was the best darn pancake ever! Must be because I haven't really had anything sweet or any carbs.
It was the most delicious thing I've had in a while!

Stone-Butch 03-04-2024 02:02 PM

Breakfast
