Holiday shopping.

We got stationary and planners for my colleagues.

Tried to get a blazer but no luck.

Scored on a discount tree for the holidays. Decorating now.

Groceries

Meds

The tree was the most fun part. Mom and I have luck when it comes to a holiday tree.

I bought a small bouquet of Christmas flowers.

I needed a pick~me~up.

FireSignFemme 12-18-2019 12:10 AM

NFL team fabric. I'm making pillowcases for travel size pillows I'm gifting J and my oldest. Seahawks for J and Steelers for my son. More kibble bits and wet food for Monte.

Gemme 12-18-2019 05:45 PM

Not a darn thing!

GeorgiaMa'am 12-18-2019 06:52 PM

Some delicious snacky things so I can just graze between now and the time I have to leave town for the holidays. Some lovely deli roast beef - some cheeses - some cookies - ice cream - some apples - Sun Chips - and two bottles of a lovely Beaujeulais (sp?).

Also, some Disney Frozen II wrapping paper.

Me too, but tomorrow I plan to make up for it by dropping a bundle in Seattle!

Silk 12-19-2019 03:59 AM

Raspberries, extra creamy whipped cream, apple strudel bites, Carmex for my sweetheart’s winter chapped lips.

JDeere 12-19-2019 05:07 PM

Well it was yesterday actually.....

Breakfast smoothies at Emerald City Smoothies, lunch for us at Pagliacci Pizza, a haircut, See's chocolates, an assortment of goodies from Hello Robin, a book about the Steele Dossier Crime in Progress a gift card at Ulta, and fish n chips at Spuds on Alki!

We would of shopped longer, but it was a downpour in Seattle and that dampened our spirits a bit, so we left earlier than we normally would have.

I miss Emerald City Smoothies! They are the BEST! And See's. Neither are here. BOO.

I paid a couple of bills today. Nothing fun or exciting.

Gemme 12-21-2019 09:41 PM

I opted for some bits and pieces at the grocery store since I'm wavering on what to make for Christmas dinner. Plus, I found a huge cannoli chip and cream cheese dip platter. Delish!

GeorgiaMa'am 12-21-2019 11:58 PM

Cookie baking supplies and stocking stuffers.

CherylNYC 12-22-2019 09:52 PM

A new pair of work shoes and a set of very cheap riffler rasps. I'll hand one to any co-worker who makes a grab for one of my expensive Italian rifflers.

QueenofSmirks 12-22-2019 10:26 PM

So many things that I didn't intend to buy, but I always do this at holiday time... while I'm shopping for friends and family, I find WAY TOO MANY things to buy for myself :)

PlatinumPearl 12-24-2019 08:00 AM

I bought....

These items were purchased yesterday, not today, I just didn't get a chance to post it...

For others: Boxes of chocolates, caramels, and caramel chocolates.
For me: Office supplies, nail polish remover, ear buds, hair elastics and caramel chocolates. :chocolate: :stillheart: :)

I love sloppy Joe's but mom not so much.

nhplowboi 12-24-2019 11:52 AM

Well the staff has been given their $$ bonuses but we also get them a meat package from a local butcher....so yes.....I AM the Meat Santa and have to pick it up today. I will get an Amazon gift card tonight for Bevi's son, his gf got a Canon camera she wanted and then some gifts for the grandbaby. He is 4 and does not understand size over quantity yet, so lots of little farm animals and tractors. I see Bevi got him a small cast iron fry pan for making his own goodies on the wood stove which will make him happy. I will be going out to buy some pet toys and a few stocking stuffers...so I have not bought it yet but it is on Santa's list.

nhplowboi 12-24-2019 11:55 AM

Oh and yes......I have ALWAYS been a Christmas Eve shopper. My bad but I work well under pressure. :)

It's odd the trivia that sticks in one's head! I remember Ed McMahon always claimed to be a Christmas Eve shopper as well!

Well I doctored up that sloppy Joe concoction with a few spices, added some saucy tomatoes, and turned it into a delicious spaghetti sauce....:hangloose:

A nice garden salad and some garlic bread will add the finishing touches to our Christmas Eve meal...

I guess this should of been posted in the "what are you having for dinner" thread, but I hated to change horses in midstream!

Still no blazer, ugh. I bought a beautiful vest but no blazer yet.

:sigh:

Gemme 01-05-2020 07:22 PM

Well, I failed today. I had one goal: to burn all of my rewards certificates and gift cards for a store. I went and shopped and looked around and around and I did find something super interesting but I don't have room for another piece of furniture so I found myself stalking the holiday food section and wound up getting a bunch of stuff and, wouldn't you know, it still wasn't enough! I still have money left on 2 gift cards!

I don't think this has ever happened before.

GeorgiaMa'am 01-07-2020 07:29 PM

The omnibus edition (Volume 1) of the first 35 comics in the DC Vertigo series Lucifer. It has bonus content as well, including a foreword by Neil Gaiman (original Sandman universe character creator) and an introduction by Mike Carey (the writer - I think it's a "writer" and not an "author" when it's comic books?). It's a beautiful book with vivid printing on good, glossy paper. It's a little impractical for reading due to the heft (comic book sized, about 2-1/2 inches wide); 35 issues takes up a lot of paper! But I can read it sitting at the table with no problem.
