Repeating words sometimes happens and sometimes we have to back out of a particularly tough word the way we came in!

The first post in the gaming threads will always lay out the rules for you. We only change one letter at a time. So the A or M or O or R can be switched out with one other letter but it's not about scrambling the letters. I can see how the name of the thread might be deceiving. :)

No. Only one letter can be changed. NONE of the letters are to be switched around. I think the Scramble part of the thread title is what is confusing things.

So, Malcolm posted Amos. The next post would change out the A and leave the mos or the m and leave the a and os, etc.

My post is:

AMOA (Austin Museum of Art)

You can take ONE letter and change it, leaving the remaining letters in their exact order.

Sometimes, they can't be avoided and so, it is allowed when the words are difficult to come up with. As a general rule, if our word was "fort" then, of course, there are umpteen options, so proper nouns and acronyms are not necessary.
