Movado
A beautiful new Movado watch.
I had my name written ALL over it. |
I bought chocolate cornflake cakes that local school kids made to raise money for Children in Need. I'll eat them while wearing my Pudsey headband :)
|
All manner of fresh, frozen, dried, bottled and canned foodstuffs.
Not a bad haul considering I only popped out for 5 items. I made a list, to be sure I remembered all 5. I forgot the list. But, 4 out of 5 isn't bad! :) |
Yesterday
A lovely 4 bladed Whitby pocket knife. I was carrying an Opinel 6 or 7, but whenever I played with it (I have a tendency to fiddle with items in meetings and the like) folks kept being alarmed at the blade. Not to mention carrying such a locking blade is actually illegal here.
Any road up (northern uk speak>us: anyhoo), I now has the lovely Whitby which is pleasingly tactile and won't alarm anyone :cheesy: |
I bought two bespoke dress shirts today. Or rather, I picked them up today. Wow, damn.
I may be ruined for off-the-rack shirts now. |
A week in New Orleans :)

I got some Burt's Bees nourishing mango chapstick. I LOVE it...even more than I love original Chapstick. That's saying a LOT

We'll, we've been on a bit of a shopping spree since we came to San Diego for a mini vacation. So far, we have bought:
1. A new IPad with a keyboard case. 2. A new camera zoom lens for Tabs' camera outfit. 3. Colognes and perfumes. 4. New shoes. 5. New IPhone case with belt pouch (for my work). We're still shopping, too. :twitch: Theo :bouquet: |

Another new reciprocal saw! This is the third one I've bought in as many months, but this one is really special. Reciprocal saws are usually the best choice for the specialty styrofoam carving I do most often on my job, though I sometimes use chain saws, too. I burnt out my heavy duty saw on the last huge project. Last I looked, the reciprocal saw I wanted with the rarely available lock-on trigger, (keeps me from getting tendonitis), was out of stock, and I presumed discontinued. So I bought a crappy interim saw until I could figure out what I really wanted. And then my cute little one-handed Rigid brand saw burnt out because I overused it, and I had to buy another one of those, too.
Today I found a heavy duty Makita reciprocal saw WITH a lock on trigger on sale, and I bought it! Instantly. No questions asked. I LOVE buying new tools! |
The cutest knee hi boots! Kept my feet warm all day. Just the fact I wore them all day...comfy! Also, I didn't want to take them off, I've never owned anything like these before. I found myself looking in the mirror, wow, theses are mine :)
It's a girl thing. http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/23...0951cfe5e4.jpg |
Yesterday I took myself out for a much-needed day with myself of shopping, hot coffee in a paper cup, and communing with my thoughts while driving the packed freeways.
Hit a few thrift stores and Earthbound Trading. Came home with a bunch of treasures! Books! - An entire set of books on the sacred writings from each of nine major religions. A sweet volume on numerology. A comprehensive tome on crystals. A fun and trashy biography on Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. About 500 incense. No, I'm not kidding. 2 salt lamps An accupuncture man dummy. 2 small wooden bowls A skinny vase with 3 Goddesses dancing around it 5 packages of various crystals, stones, and even some Fool's Gold An oil diffuser A soapstone mortar and pestal 3 wooden Indonesian masks Candles A tiny gold Buddha a case of wet dog food (Gracie was overjoyed!) a box of wedding cookies from Jack's favorite bakery The best thing about it all? The fact that I was able to use the gift card that I was awarded by my company for being employee of the quarter to pay for all of it and still have over $100 left over. YAY! |
