:) It's the only show I follow.... |
i'm not a dwts watcher. ive only watched the clips. what i have followed is chaz.
he is smiling courage. he has totally embraced who he is. i wish that for every one. as far as hope solo and maks, i don't care to watch whatever they are trying to accomplish behind the scenes. it's not working for me. silly. but i don't guess it has to. if the judges/whoever feels she can't relax and lessen the athlete inside her, maybe they should have paired her with a woman. it seems like maks wants this to be about him, and it's not. i really think he would sling her off the stage if he could get away with it lol. they are trying to do too much. slow it down a tad and they might get a more femme hope. that's what they want, right?!?! |
Thanks for the vids. I'm a football fan, need I say more. Chaz has improved immensely he doesn't look like a cherub in tiny shoes any more. :|

As a woman with muscles, but I am not built like Hope Solo, nor am I as young as her. Sporty women don't know what people are talking about when they critique our walk. Maks actually requested Hope. He wants to win, and he knows that Hope has that drive. I loved her comment *I don't like any man telling me......* i/e Len, one of the Judges. Hope is still playing soccer, and Maks is traveling with her, and they are dancing in between soccer work outs and games. That's sort of why he dragged her away from those comments implying she doesn't work hard enough. Maks' knows she does. This is why I love this thread, this television show in theory, is about who is progressing the best and ultimately becomes the best dancer. But as we keep seeing, week after week, it's really all about the ratings. Carson and Chazz have been out right terrible as far as dancers go. But Queer nation has come together and kept them both on the show, and really both are sub par. We've seen far better leave. We all love Chazz (and Lacey) for all the right reasons, and week five, (last night) was really the first time he actually danced. It was also the first time I saw him look comfortable and happy. I have a feeling Chazz will stay tonight. But this may be it for Carson. I'd love to see Kardashian go. I'm shocked week after week, at the inflated scores he gets from the judges. Maybe they really like his Dance pro Cheryl Burke. Who knows, Carson and Anna made two pretty nice appeals to Carsons' fans? |

Sympathy Vote! Really (?)
Paulina Porizkova: Chaz Bono Has 'Dancing With The Stars' Sympathy Vote
http://i.huffpost.com/gen/380513/thu...A-large570.jpg First Posted: 10/19/11 10:01 AM ETUpdated: 10/19/11 10:12 AM ET Rumored to be returning to reality TV in Donald Trump’s "Celebrity Apprentice," Paulina Porizkova remembers how painful it was to be voted off "Dancing with the Stars" first and has a shocking theory about why a beautiful girl will never win the Mirror Ball trophy. “I was the first one to get fired. But I also got fired from something else, didn’t I?” Paulina jokes, referring to her exit from her "America's Next Top Model" judging gig. "Let’s put this down as a fact, we were number four on the scores with the judges. I was clearly just the least popular person there." It’s true that neither Kate Gosselin nor Bristol Palin were any better dancers than Paulina, but they all lasted in the competition much longer thanks to the audience voting them back week after week. “Yeah, she was not a dancer, but she was popular,” Paulina says referring to Bristol. “Yes! I want to be popular. I was unpopular in school, did the whole round circle and now I am unpopular again. ... Haven’t you noticed that the ones that always go first are models, unless they are fat. I just think that people figure that if you look good and you already have it made, why should you do that? But it gets sympathy. If you are attractive, you don’t get sympathy and you need sympathy to be truly likeable.” So what does she think about Chaz Bono? “He’s got a good sympathy vote, that’s for sure!” says Paulina. “In order to be the best, you have to be mediocre. You have to have a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and meet in the middle.” But Paulina's theory doesn't quite hold up when it comes to Brooke Burke's season 7 win and Nicole Scherzinger's season 10 win. Hopefully Paulina has better luck on "Celebrity Apprentice," where the only person making the decision is a man who certainly appreciates a beautiful woman. For my entire interview with Paulina, check out HDNet's "Naughty But Nice With Rob" Thursday evenings at 8:00 pm. |
He is so much more relaxed! Some good booty shakin'! Loved this week's clips with Lacy's Dad working with him. Sorry to see Carson go.
|
The last two weeks have definitely been an improvement. I'm hoping that recovering from the injury and getting support from fans (including his lovely mom) have given Chaz the confidence boost needed. He has plenty of reasons to be proud.
|
I know one of his goals was to lose weight with the dancing .... to me it looks like he is slowly achieving this!
|
I agree that his last two weeks have shown improvement. I'm a little jealous that he gets to dance with Lacey too.
As long as he shows improvement I'll vote for him! I was sad to see Carson go, but at this point in the competition, I think it was his time. |
I found the article about "sympathy vote" totally ludicrous. Jealous much?
It's called the queer vote, not the sympathy vote. It's also very similar to the Tea Party vote that kept Palin on. She's mad jealous she didn't have that support. It really is about either name recognition or personality or both. |
I agree with Write, she is jealous over the whole situation.
|
Chaz did so well tonight, the best he has ever done.....and the judges were hateful and cruel.
Vote!!! |
I voted! I thought he did an excellent job!
|
I missed it tonight so I have to wait till the vids are posted ugh

Judges
I thought Chaz danced better tonight than ever, the judges I could kick in the butt. Each season of this show I dislike Len more as he goes on,not one of the contestants are or ever will be as good as pro dancers over the long haul.Chaz has had to use his body in ways he never had to before,it takes time to be able to learn and do the moves..I know I give it my best shot when I dance,im a big guy but I have also been an athletic person most of my life,Chaz hasnt.I really think they pissed him and Lacy off with the coments they made,I hope he comes back next week.

I missed the show/ was watching the world series
I'll post video's when they become available. I found this interesting.
Tension boils over in the ballroom on 'Dancing' By SANDY COHEN AP Entertainment Writer http://hosted.ap.org/photos/0/07e034...cf87-small.jpg AP Photo/Adam TaylorEntertainment Video Advertisement http://te.ap.org/tte/blank.gif?0.230...=ENTERTAINMENT Buy AP Photo Reprintshttp://hosted.ap.org/icons/spacer.gifhttp://hosted.ap.org/specials/images/ap_photo_promo.jpghttp://analytics.apnewsregistry.com/...5Z/E/prod/AT/A LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The latest episode of "Dancing With the Stars" included insults, an animal comparison and two nearly perfect performances. A heated exchange between professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy and head judge Len Goodman stole the spotlight from first-place finishers Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez. Chmerkovskiy and his partner, soccer star Hope Solo, landed near the bottom of the judges' leaderboard Monday. With 20 points out of 30, they finished just ahead of Chaz Bono, in last place with 19 points. One of the seven remaining celebrities will be dismissed during Tuesday's episode. Judges' scores combined with viewer votes determine who is kicked off the hit ABC show each week. When Goodman called Solo's rumba "your worst dance of the whole season," Chmerkovskiy suggested the judge get out of the dance business. Chmerkovskiy told one of the show's hosts that the judges seem to pick on certain contestants, and he kept up the conversation after Monday's live episode. "The judges have their favorites," he said. "They always have." Bono's professional partner, Lacey Schwimmer, agreed. "They always have their favorites, and this season it's completely clear who they are. I won't name names, but we are not one of them," she said. "I'm actually proud of what Maks said. A lot of us don't get the chance to stand up for us and our partners." Schwimmer cried backstage during Monday's episode and was still upset after the show, when she complained about the judges' "rude" remarks about Bono. "Every week he gets referred to as an animal," she said. "They always comment on his personality, and last I checked, this was a dancing show." After the couple danced their tango, judge Bruno Tonioli said Bono was like "a cute little penguin trying to be a big menacing bird of prey." Tonioli has also compared Bono to an Ewok. Mom Cher tweeted her support before and after Bono's performance. Bono said after the show that he "came on here to show people a strong proud transgender man, and I'm not going to let the judges get me down." David Arquette, who finished in third place with his "Grease"-themed routine, said tensions are running high as the competition heats up. "It's just a high-pressure part of the season," he said after Monday's episode. "Everybody's really passionate about it, so it's not a surprise people get fired up." He earned 23 points for a quickstep that "had the exuberance and charge of a frisky teenager on spring break," Tonioli said. Nancy Grace came in second with her best score yet: 24 points for a foxtrot that one judge called "a show-stopper." Lake and Martinez tied with the top score of 29 points. Rob Kardashian - who had sisters Kim and Khloe and their basketball husbands among his cheering section - finished in fourth place with 22 points for a cha-cha Tonioli described as "adequate, but it didn't have the impact and power it should at this stage." The seven couples also danced a group routine to a medley of Broadway songs. Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth performed a medley of her own, singing a pair of show tunes. Chenoweth is set to return on Tuesday's episode, when a sixth celebrity is ousted. Carson Kressley, Chynna Phillips, Kristin Cavallari, Elisabetta Canalis and Ron Artest/Metta World Peace have already been eliminated this season. --- Online: http://abc.go.com/shows/dancing-with-the-stars --- |
