I'm insulating a house this week. A slap hammer is a contraption that you slam against a board, and it releases a staple. It quickly puts staples along the edges of the rolls of insulation (to attach them to the studs).
Thanks for asking!

Oh...so it's more like a stapler than an actual hammer type tool...OK. Thanks for the explanation.

Hey now.... a hammer is so much more butch than a stapler! *adjusts toolbelt*

(*secretly rolling own eyes at class and gender norms*)

And to Sylvie and Wimsiclegirl-- its totally HOT that you have hammers! I think the sexiest thing about a person is "competence" - and if a woman can wield a hammer, or paint flowers on it, then rock on with your handy-self! The reason i was rolling my eyes at myself is because i think that every person should have basic tool skills, it should never have been "gendered" anyway-- but playing with those roles is the fun of it!

Today instead of buying anything, I returned a bathroom light/fan (too noisy!) Does that count?

sweetfemme247 01-28-2011 08:14 PM

i bought a dart board and im planning to throw darts and pictures of my ex's hahaha

Dykeumentary...I am competent and talented in many other fields but tools are not my area of deep knowledge...but lately I have been trying a lot more stuff..some successfully (hanging pictures) and some not so successful (putting bookshelf together). It will help when I learn to use that drill thingy I am sure. LOL

Returning stuff counts..it's an exchange of money at a place of retail! :)

There's really no need for lunch and dinner - saves time and money for cocktails, cocktails, cocktails!
