That's all I know...

My hound dog, Ernie, has a nose for french fries. I swear I walk in the door and he pretty much pounces for the fries.

He also manages to sniff out Juicy Fruit gum. He pretty much ate a whole pack yesterday... Stole it out of my messenger bag.

Once again, I had no room in the bed last night. I have a queen sized bed but the dogs insist on sleeping on the side I sleep on, leaving the other side completely free. *Sigh

Well.....

My daughter is back from visiting the coast...and while she was there she found an abused boxer....

Long story short...we now have a boxer!

She is calling him Yoda, I think he looks more like a Buster...we both kinda call him Buddy...

Anywho...

yesterday we took Yoda and Jacques to Chimney Rock. We walked down by the river and both dogs waded in the water...wading for Jacques meant his belly got wet. For Yoda, wading is barely getting his feets wet....but every time he'd come out of the water, he would shake himself off as though he was soaked...lol

i had to run an errand after work...got home about and hour late...there was a new 24 roll pack of toilet paper on the table in the hall...need i say more...ugh!

My kitties are taking turns on my lap and purring.

The new dog has proven he's a lover not a fighter...

He let our visiting friend's ferret run all over him and has left the cat alone as well...

I can NOT say how much this means to me. I'm already attached to the big lug...

As a PS...the blood hound down the road has taken a shine to him also...I think she thinks he's her beau....little does she know, he's neutered...lol

So...

Ive decided to gift myself a fiddle and start learning to play a little before taking lessons....

I was on youtube looking for how to videos and the new dog (Ive decided to call him Bear..since he huffs and grunts like a big ol bear) hears the violin and does the most adorable head tilt I ever saw...then he did it on the other side too!

He was an outside dog, so all these new house noises put him on edge. But the violin actually seemed to please him :)

My girls got in to a knock down fight at three a.m. this morning over a rawhide chewy, talk about a quick wake up call. I got it broke up with no blood shed mine or theirs. All is well now and I have forbidden chewy's on the bed form now on.

boxer bear was so happy to see me home from work that he leapt and bounced like a gazelle. Its such an odd sight for such a large dog....

kitty Eleanor discovered a window she can get in and out of...

She came home full of cobwebs and laid in my lap...she was trying so hard to stay awake that her eyes were crossing as her head was nodding...

I have some silly furkids...lol

Last year I bought a fiddle plus books to learn to play it. It is fun and I have managed to learn some Louisiana swing/jazz music. Both my fur kids sit at my feet or not far from me, I play and they howl or bark or any combo they chose then we all have a good time.

Kitty Diva slept so hard last night that she didn't hear me calling her (or she was ignoring me). I called and looked all over the house, but no kitty. After I finally got dressed and ready to go outside at 3:00 a.m. to look for her, she suddenly appeared in the hallway. I think she was hiding, waiting to see what I would do.

the dogs both got baths! Today was Yoda's first by me...

it went ok...he was really happy once it was done with...as was I...lol

This after noon bot the girls got up in my lap for some ear scratching and belly rubs, before long all of us dosed off in the recliner.

Tiny Dog got her nails clipped today. Afterward, she clung to me, thinking hard at me, "Pet me! Pet me! I have suffered so, having my toenails clipped!" Of course, I gave her lots of loves for being such a good girl. After I'd had enough of that, though, she settled down to chew on her nails and do a better manicure than the one I had given her. Diva!

Yes, Ernie stole 2 bananas from the counter top. He left the peels on the family room carpet. Didn't disturb anything else.

They were with me all day..and I swear they didn't do a damn thing..okay,so the cats got into some chips..and the dogs barked all day and I didn't see anything outside..???..and then we all took naps at the same time.

Ernie is not liking me packing for the move. He's coming with me. But today he settled on the center of the bed and gave me the saddest eyes every. And then tonight he was in physical contact with me all night. When I moved, he moved.

My cat guards the kitchen like a troll guarding a bridge; there's a toll (i.e., cat treats) to enter. :rolleyes:

I woke trapped under the covers. Cats face buried into my back small 30 lb dog in the bend of my knees and the larger 60 lb dog just close enough to be close and not snuggled up.
Then we worked on little dog not barking at the door bell this morning.

This happened last night. I have a food bowl on a low windowsill so that the cats can look outside while having a snack. Last night the baby kitty who is starting to look like a pot belly pig was having a snack then jumped in the air and ran into the other room. I looked outside to see what scared her and saw a big racoon. She and the racoon must have seen each other through the window. I laughed and laughed.

contractors in and out of the house for 3 days have the puppies all excited and my nerves frazzled....

Lill' miss is still newish in the house and is starting to get used to being an inside dog, she had a day of me having to close the back doors since it's finally gotten chilly in Vegas.
She had no messes in the house, that is great progress :)

She did however discover the great doggy joy of the cat box :/

Yoda the boxer...I call him Bodhi but my daughter will be back to reclaim him as Yoda...lol

I just realized any time I'm in the kitchen he goes into the hallway and watches me...he won't stay in the living room even...

I don't know if he heard something or if its just that he hates when I grind coffee beans...but I only do that in the mornings...so....lol I guess my reputation in the kitchen proceeds me!

It has rained and rained for days now, and Tiny Dog refuses to go out in the rain. However, she eventually had to allow her delicate paws to touch the wet ground . . . and she went out without me! I stood in the door and held her leash, staying dry, while she quickly ran out, did her thing, then ran back in. This is huge progress, her being willing to go out without me in the rain. What a smart, thoughtful puppy dog . . . finally.

Friday night fun at my house.

The kitties and I are playing "chase me catch me". First I chase the kitties then they chase me and repete. It is big fun and we have played this game for years.

Ignored me for a couple of hours and then shared some human food with me and then went to bed at her allocated time!

Last night I finely put the new electric blanket on the bed so when I got up at three a.m. I found Rowdy under the covers toasty warm as can be. Other pup Little Bits has found she can get under her blanket that's on top of the bed with a pillow for her, then get a double warm up from both sides. I am glad they are comfy and even more glad the blanket keeps my arthritic knees warm all night long so my knees don't hurt.

I measured their feet an ordered shoes. I don't want my little one to get too cold, since he has a harder time regulating his temperature.


We shared blt sandwiches tonight (unwillingly). They stood by and begged until I gave in.

The weather is colder, so I was lucky when they rent a corner of my bed to me last night. Also, I'm thinking about getting magnetic paw prints to cover my black car with, instead of washing them off all the time. Try reading a book or paper in this house! Forget it, they're all over it. If I don't get their Friskies Party Mix when they want it, they will stalk me everywhere I go, giving me the worst cat vibes imaginable (I really think they put drugs in that stuff). But.. anyway.. I love those kits. :)

Tonight I played fetch with my baby kitty. The way this game is played is that I throw the toy and the baby kitty chases it then turns and looks at me. Then I run over pick up the toy and throw it again so that she can chase it. Repete...over and over. :)

HELP, I am stuck in the recliner under my kitty. Haha! Just kidding. My baby kitty is sitting on my lap. She loves me. :)

One of my dogs is sick. All she wants to do is cuddle with mama.

My dogs do the cutest thing... Ever since they were babies, when they woke up in the morning, I would hug and kiss them for like 5 minutes and say good morning. Now, the second they wake up in the morning, they run over to me for good morning hugs and kisses. They jump on me, kiss me and expect those few minutes of good morning hugs and kisses. It is my favorite part of the day! :dog: :dog: :dog:
