we have to gown up, masks & gloves is all to prevent catching it as well as passing it around.. the nursing home has been closed since before xmas though so they couldnt have xmas dinner with their families which was sad.. and its been almost 4 weeks now and so they're stir crazy poor souls.. i feel for them and soo hate seeing them get so sickies..

we were supposed to open the nursing home finally today, and then we got 2 more confirmed norwalk viruses in another ward just yesterday, so it will probably remain closed for a bit longer.. bah :|
Are you a nurse or a nurse's aid?? I know the stomach flu gastroenteritis is bad especially in the older population!! I hope you don't catch it though, I'm glad your Nanny isn't in there too!! hope everyone gets to feel better soon...

Oh Cody, I really feel for you. I just got over that and it was miserable. The medicines mentioned were ones I took and helped. I'm glad you're going to see your doctor tomorrow who will probably put you on an antibiotic and codiene cough meds. Keep warm and try to sweat the fever out

Yes when fever is present you must drink liquids as well to hydrate yourself so that is something to take into consideration and the flu is widespread in Arizona so that could be the reason!! hope you feel better Cody!! I hope all the singles are doing good tonight and having a good day off from the holiday...

noo not a nurse but would love to be.. that's what i am applying for at the college in June of this year, thats when they start taking applications for 2012.. *crosses fingers* i've already paid the fee, that way i can't turn back LOL

i do work in a nursing home, though.. along with the nurse's.. i help feed the residents and do some recreation stuff with them, and help make the nurse's job a lil easier if possible.. i work mostly in the alzheimer unit right now, though i do work elsewhere when needed.. it's a pretty gratifying job for me, i started working in the kitchen there back in 2008, and applied for this position a lil over a year ago.. tis how i know i would love nursing, it would really suit me, so here's hoping i get in , heh..

we now have 5 confirmed cases, all in one unit, sigh.. seems like it's starting all over again.. hoping it stops with these 5!

evenin' singles..

just got home from work a bit ago, its SOOO cold outside, my fingers were frozen even though i had mittens on and had my hands up in my sleeves, brrr .. took my shower, in my jammies,complete with some fuzzy socks and my snuggie, and relaxing now.. contemplating a hot cocoa.

NO starbucks in Canada?? or maybe some kind of coffee shop where they sell specialized coffee, we have Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks and lots of diners too that sell coffee and teas...

Yess we have a Starbucks, actually a few even lol..
and other coffee places too but i guess i just never got into drinking coffee, tea etc lol... weird i know, most can't believe i've not even tried it..

i don't like the smell of it, it's so strong.. so i guess tis why i've not tried it..
i do drink hot chocolate.. and ive had an iced cappuccino from Tim Hortons a few times but never tried a hot one lol!!

My favorite drink from Starbucks is a vanilla latte with nonfat milk, both iced and hot.

Thanks Zimmy, You're a sweetheart. I'm having my cup of coffee now while my truck warms up outside. I got pelted with little ice balls while out there. Tonight the fun begins. 600 new beds....busy busy.
