It was right joyful to balance my checking account after yesterday adventure to see I still have MONEY. Overtime came in just at the right time. Wish I could have taken a trip with this week off and money in the bank for a change. But maybe that will be my joyful post next year on the Saturday after Thansgiving.

a fabulous AWESOME evening (after a stressful week) with a dear friend that makes me laugh and forget that time is passing around us...
a wonderful dinner that both of us were looking forward to.. quality time ...down time with no worries allowed .. to have their attention and be engaged in quality conversation ... learning more about eachother and what's important to each... how they make me feel important and respected ... I'm not invisible with them... getting together to plan a special gift for a child whose father lost his job.. getting excited about being "secret Santa " to this family. having FUN that's been long overdue making plans for the weekend that involves grocery shopping (boring right? but makes me happy to finally start getting back to my comfort level) looking forward to movie night hearing from my brother, loving him and my nieces so much. Him inviting me to his upcoming wedding. and ... many more things that leave me smiling and content tonight. |

It was a beautiful day today. Knowing that my friend was singing tonight (different time zone so I am befuzzled). People in general bring me joy. I did something nice for a friend not wanting anything in return.

Waking up and remembering my dream brought me a little bit of joy.
My dream was about a women I loved in the dream fostering a kid and me confusing which child was hers and which was the foster child only to find out I loved them both as an extension of her because my love was so vast... :) |

an absolutely wonderful evening, awesome dinner that we both looked forward to, awesome company, delightful laughter, enjoying Christmas lights, having fun shopping the bookstore, honest conversation, revealing pieces of my soul without fear, trusting them to navigate holiday traffic , their laughter and smile washing away the stressful week, making plans for this weekend and next week ....NO ALARM CLOCKS FOR A WHOLE 9 DAYS....and looking forward to New Year's Eve...

Dancing the West Coast Swing and slow dancing with her this afternoon in the living room in our socks.
I felt like I did with my first GF dancing at the clubs when I was in my 20's. I always used to love to dance. I am going to dance more often. |

Knitting new hats. Decorating the tree finally. Being with my youngest tonight and watching ALF. |
Having the most incredible date with my wife last night and waking up this morning in my own bed. Brought me lots of joy considering I'm still "on the road" until either next week or week after.
