I dropped in to wave at everyone and say if anyone wants to just 'get out of the house' for awhile, I have an unexpected free weekend. If anyone would like to grab a meal or kill some time playing pool.

I have 2 brothers in Chickasha and hope the fire in Grady County doesn't go that way. Where the live, when the tornado hit there, it took out the bedroom windows in the complex they live in...new to OK then, they were ready to pack up and go back to Chicago. Who knows what they'll want to do if the wild fire in Grady doesn't get put out soon.

I've been watching the news and the one in Luther was set on purpose...OMFG!

I feel for those that have lost their homes and maybe their animals.

All it takes is some idiot.. I heard someone threw out burning trash and that all of Luther is ablaze. I'm in Yukon and we can see the smoke to the northeast.

I will be praying for the folks there in OK. I know not too long ago, how scary and so sad it was for the folks in Colorado. My son lives in CO Springs, and it was just a nightmare for him and his family.

Red and I are fine. Our lawn guy lost his home :-(

WolfyOne 08-05-2012 11:20 AM

Sadly the wild fires struck again in Glencoe...my heart aches for all those that lost anything or anyone in those raging infernos.

boobookitty 08-08-2012 08:29 AM

I was watching the smoke plume from the Lexington/Slaughterville fire (almost due west from me) it was casting a shadow over Tecumseh.

very scary very bad

Since this is a new year, thought I'd come in and clean the place a bit in hopes that it may attract posts again.

Perhaps a Saturday night or late afternoon gathering somewhere in OKC or even Norman may tempt some of us to actually meet up.

oksoftbutch 01-26-2013 02:44 PM

I am game for a get together....

I've been trying for a get together since I started this thread and so far as close as we came was trying to put together a day of fishing and a cook out.

I was thinking, if we just met in a restaurant that we might could pull it off.

I don't know where would be a good place. I do know the areas some of you live in and still think OKC or Norman or anywhere in between there may work well since it surrounds a few of you.

Just a couple hours of hanging out and getting to know each other may just produce another get together.

Anyone else up for it?
We now have 2 of us that are up for it.

oksoftbutch 01-26-2013 04:10 PM

I can meet anywhere from Norman to Edmond....just let me know where....of course weekend nights are best for me....
