Happiness is...
Taking my dog for an extra long walk this morning before work.....
Birds singing, cool breeze and warm sun on my face, stretching my legs, and bright flowers.... :) Oh... and did I mention a very happy dog? |
A perfect cup of tea, wrestling ratties jumping around, a happy child dressing herself, a wake up call from my love.

being home after a very long Board Retreat... a nice walk with my dog... and laying on my bed surfing the net with my pup by my side... legs straight up in the air... (funny pose for a greyhound!)

Springing forward tonight.........ahhhhhhhhhh..........I can see my power bill reduction come and am glad it is...though I do hate allergy season

Happiness is....
having such great friends!!!
truly feeling cared about and respected.... finding common ground with said friends... being told "the reality" of things by friends that care so much for me that they aren't afraid to tell me how things are, their view of things or the real truth of things....being able to "see" their points as valid and how they are coming from a loving, supportive, affectionate place - even if the truth hurts a little.... Happiness is.... knowing, truly knowing what it feels like to be the recipient of someone's kind, loving, supportive friendship and the confidence that such a feeling gives me...and not "second guessing" their intentions or "do they have another agenda" or "are they just using me" or "gee, this person is a taker, I'm the only one spending energy on keeping this friendship going".., etc, etc.... having that CONFIDENCE and Secure feeling replaces all that "second guessing" and is so much more fulfilling. Happiness is.... not feeling an "empty spot".... Happiness is....having an "empty tank" go to a "full tank" after having a heart-felt, long overdue conversation filled with all kinds of TRUTHS and REALITIES and being able to finally discuss many things I'm passionate about, yet sometimes feel closed in or neglected and disrespected about. |

every moment spent with him.. his very protective nature.. his gentle, wonderful soul.. happiness is also - Nanny G's happy face each time i visit through the day.. my children, maturing into young adults who are generous, kindhearted and so genuinely wonderful about being good to all humankind & animals - and being passionate about wanting a better earth ... they make me proud! |

New Love
Happiness is my new love. I met her this morning at the market. I've heard about love at first sight. It's true. I am in love. :fastdraq:
There she was mixed in with the crowd, all pretty in that bight yellow, standing out among all the others. We got home and I found out the truth. She's soft and gentle, yet can be roughed up and pushed hard as I want. I can move her up and down and all around and she is ready for more, and just shakes it off. I took her right into the bedroom, removed her outer cover. Then she glided across the table, slid along the headboard and up and down the bedposts. I am in love with my new Swiffer 360. |

waking up slowly (for the first time in many many weeks) with a cup of coffee and my pup next to me...
But missing my wife who is currently running a half marathon... But THAT happiness will be this afternoon when she comes home and we can have a slooooooow afternoon... |
