SYTYCD I think the top 11 are great! My favorite so far is Kent, the kid from the farm in Wakanotewta ??? He had all the judges crying!!! I need to go find Lady Snow and see if she knows where that is in Ohio. :happyjump: |

I adore the girl who did her final solo to Etta James' "At Last". Sex kittenish performance, but I loved her versatility. And Kent. He's adorable. I want to fold him up and carry him around in my back pocket. I am, however, sad that they didn't pick the guy who had the hamstring injury. Even hurt, he danced better than most.

ok so let me fess up i am not watching So u think u can dance. I am a HUGE reality tv buff but its hard to watch everything especially when the NBA finals are on BUT i am loving Hell's Kitchen!

I know it has its own thread, but I'm here now and thinking of it now, so here and now is where it goes. I finally watched the season finale for Glee.
*cry* I love, love, loved the Journey medley. It reminded me why I like Journey. I also love that Sue put them down to win. I am excited about the marathon from beginning to end in a few days but I will not watch it. |

The Breakdown
Simon-a very popular, successful record and show producer, blunt and often harsh critic
Randy-a very popular musician and record producer, had the middle child syndrome with Simon and Paula Paula-a former Dallas cheerleader, talented choreographer, and a known singer, the pushover Kara-a not so well known to the public, but known in the industry, fabulously talented song writer, sometimes wishy washy criticisms Ellen-an extremely popular daytime host/comedienne/persona, positive feedback Jennifer-former dancer on In Living Color, singer/song writer/actress/producer, critique style unknown but most likely she'll be Paula and Kara wrapped into one Latina bundle Steve-has had great stamina with Aerosmith since 1970, known as a flamboyant musician with a bass-like mouth :blink: Criticque style is unknown, but I can't see him as being too harsh. He might ramble on like Paula though, after the decades of typical rockstar living he's done. His daughters are beautiful though. Thank goodness models like rockstars, eh? :sunglass: |
I think they're about to see the demise of the show. I have been a hardcore fan from the start, but I think the real key to the success of the show was the chemistry between the three original judges. Of course we love to see the kids sing and marvel at the talent that's out there. But mixing in Kara and Ellen made it very clear to me that listening to the judges and their opinions really makes or breaks the show. I love Ellen (LOVE!!!), but sometimes, her insipid observations made me want to throw my Skinny Cow at the television. I don't think we'll get those types of zzzzzzzz comments from J-Lo or Steve, but I don't know, either, that I'll be particularly interested in what either one of them has to see.

I think that phrase fit A.I. last Season.. but, here goes... I'm waiting for The X Factor {U.S. version} Simon's in it... I think.. Based on what eeeeeveryone knows about 'em?... J.Lo will probably try to be Smart, Slightly Snippy, yes a bit of the Boricua know-it-all attitude {-cheeky smile-}, and of course....her Ego needs its own trailer. Unless Marc Anthony somehow managed to subdue her.[He's good at it..hehe..Ask Dayanara Torres] Steve Tyler's the mystery one for me.. Maybe he'll be a decent critic, with a bit of Wit, and Rocker humor.... Randy will be the usual annoying "Dawg".... At least...even though I agree, this is the end of a good thing...The judge Panel is full of folks who have MUSIC experience, and advice for future winner. I'm fuckin' glad Ellen's gone Ditto for Kara.... |
Yeah.......I don't think Ellen really belonged there. It just didn't "click". It was a dumb idea.
