if you really knew me you would know
My car is my freedom
My family is my ball and chain Distance is my key to bearing their weight I love my job I can't wait to make a difference in a new life everyday I openly welcome change and my actions are always pursued with good intent |
you'd know that i'm intense about everything i do, or say , or feel, or give. you'd know that if i'm really wounded, i shut it all down, and i mean it. you'd know that i have a huge pure heart, and it sometimes gets in the way. you'd know that i am unconditional- till you hurt me, then all bets are off. you'd know that i treasure my friendships, especially the tried and true ones. you'd know that i tend to walk around with blinders, or rose colored glasses on. you'd know that it also comes honestly, i really try to only see the good. you'd know that when i see the ugly sides, it honestly devastates me. you'd know that i could honestly care less if you like me or don't. you'd know that when i write, i never write about some random 'butch', i write about ME. you'd know that i eat chocolate every day. you'd know that i'm a complicated creature, but am so well worth it. :) |
You would notice that I have seem to have misplaced my quick laughter
You would know I have more work than time to do it You would know I am moving towards indifference and don't care You would sit and share a pipe with me You would know I hate :tea: |

Have you tried gargling with warm salt water to help heal the wound? If you really knew me, you'd know I have a wealth of trivial information and am not afraid to share it. |
If you really knew me you would know that the two best days of my life were when my daughter was born, and when Kasey and I were married.:rrose:
|
I am also a wealth of trivial information... I know just about enough about anything to get myself into trouble...
Gemme, do you find that you look around trying to figure out who said *that* once the words have left your mouth? Quote:

If you knew me you'd know I love my typewriter because I can't push delete on it.
That I get tired of storms because I hate thunder. That my best friend in the world has four paws and a tail. That I act strong when all I want to do is scream from mindless terror of a world I can't understand. |
I hate Shirley McClain, The Sound Of Music and Barbara Striesand and have lost dates over this...and was grateful.
I suck a cough drop every night. It use to more than one but I have gotten it under control. But I have to have at least one. I have dropped 43 lbs since my first surgery..People cant even recognize me from pictures from when I first moved back to Ohio. Of course my hair was very short and silver too... I am so close to this nightmare to being over that I feel like I am holding my breath all the time..like its a dream...or that I cant believe it until its all done and over with. The American Nightmare as opposed to the American Dream. Some day I might write a book by that title... |
If you really knew me, you would know:
Most of the time I am grateful to simply have a glass, and will make it work whether that glass is half empty or half full. I have a big heart, and am much more caring than some would imagine me to be. I believe I can teach a dog to do anything that is physically possible for them to do. I love to learn. At present, I am learning about vertical, total indoors soil-less gardening using artificial light. I think it very well could be the way of the near future. |
If you really knew me...Where the heck would I begin...
|
If you really knew me...
...you'd know what a grumpy bar-steward I am. ...you'd know just how much I love the Woodipotimus ...you'd know I use a computer mouse in each hand. |
if you really knew me
you would know that even though my exterior is tough, im a big softie and sensetive
you would know i miss my dad every day you would know that unkind words stick in my head forever you would know that today i need a lil hug... |
you would know that I'm sensitive and cry easily
you would know how much I love animals you would know how much I love shoe's you would know that I'd much rather listen to music than watch tv you would know that I've always been a Stone Femme |
If you really knew me, you'd know that I firmly believe that every single body is in this world for a very specific reason. You'd also know that I'm growing more and more frustrated not knowing what mine is.

... you would know the detective in me never sleeps...
... I am the one choosing how the relationship with my sisters is played out... ... That coming back to Colorado to help my parents was and is the best choice... ... I am working on becoming a better person every day... ... I have started walking again since the weather has turned a tad bit warmer... ... I don't care for roses... Shasta Daisey's, Tulips, and Daffodils are my preferred flowers... ... I think of you often... and I smile... |
Please me tease me but always feed me
you would know I take one ice cube in my coffee
you would know you could feed me Orville Redenbacher air popped popcorn for breakfast lunch and dinner you would know you never need to ask me what I want to eat. Just prepare it, call me to the table and see me enjoy you would know I am easy to please you would know I love to be teased (f) |
You would be amongst the very few that do.

If you really knew me, you'd be surprised that even though I act all tough, I'm really a softie.
If you really knew me, you'd see that I have a very artistic side of me. I love things to be "in balance" with each other If you really knew me, you'd understand why I'm so shy sometimes. I wear my heart on my sleeve, often afraid of change. If you really knew me, you'd be amazed with some of the weird stuff I can come up with... If you really knew me, you would see the amazing changes I've made in the past 6 months, I've gone from not giving a flying you-know-what, to someone who is genuinely concerned for herself and others. |

I used to get real frustrated about not knowing my purpose either... then one day--and I honestly cannot remember what sparked it--I took a long look not at what I do or what I want to do for a living, not at jobs I've had or wanted, not at careers that bring purpose... but at ME. I took a long look at who I have been and how I have been all through my lifetime, and discovered that there was a common thread going all the way back to childhood. I make people feel better. Whether I'm making them laugh, listening when their hearts are broken, or just sharing time with them, I make people feel better. These days there are so many forces arrayed on the side of making people feel worse and worse, I figure making them feel better is a pretty good purpose for my life. When I'm doing okay I bring sunshine and the hope of springtime to everyone; when I'm not okay I still bring love and compassion. That's who I am, what I do, and my purpose for living all rolled into one. Maybe you can find something in your life that speaks to your purpose like that too? Maybe you've been fulfilling your life's purpose all along and just haven't recognized the value of it yet? We're alike in a lot of ways, love--I'm willing to bet this is one of them. |
