My sister and I have season tickets to the women's basketball games. I also try to hit at least one football game and one men's game too. Movies, bowling, and hanging out with friends and family. I don't go out much to the bars but once in a while I don't mind. I'm usually the spare wheel too so I understand.

I'm really enjoying reading this thread and must give a shout out to all Vols Fans, everywhere! We in the South love our "get togethers"... be it Superbowl, Sunday after church, Wed night bible study, or any other night of the week... sooo... I was think'n maybe we could have a BFP TN Get Together... kind of a "family" gathering of our own and invite ALL Southerners (FL, AL, GA, NC, SC) ...? Just a thought for you to throw feedback at (no eggs or tomatoes, plez) I don't know... mebbe I should post this in the "so I was thinkin' thread)!!! [/SIZE]

Hey Guys! Thanks to Ecell and Alipstic for your positive votes and the update on past tries. I know this kind of thing has a tendency to fizzle out or may get waylaid by a natural disaster or a million other reasons. Keeping in mind that we are all spread out and the cost of gas these days, work schedules, love life or lack of it, family/commitments, yada yada. I know, I understand -- Trust me! But if we want to put for the effort to Really get together - and I, for one, would love to, please send back a reply with your TN City/location and if you're not in a major city, i.e., Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis... etc., are you willing to travel and if so, which major City are you nearest to?
Once we establish a headcount, a city to meet in - then we can discuss venue... and what'd we'd like to do when we're all together. I'll begin, LadyHawkxx (Cynthia) Chattanooga, TN I'm pretty central to all the major cities and would be willing to drive just about anywhere in our State to meet, greet and visit w/y'all! Ok... My lady and I llive near Paris, Tn . Nashville is about a 2hr. drive for me and Memphis 3. Not sure about Chattanooga . Weekends is the only time we could get away.

I'm in VA BUT....I have friends in TN & would be glad to get together. Nashville's 8 hrs drive....Chatt is about 6 hrs. Knox is 4 so....any farther than Nashville wouldn't be a plan for me....but, would love to meet up with folks. Hey Tn crowd!!!
We just got back from Pigeon Forge and that place is booming with peeps and things to do. Just throwing some suggestions out there. If we picked there, the plus side is there is so much to do there from bungee jumping to shows to Dollywood to Dixie Stampede the list goes on. It would be cool for a big group of us to go go-cart riding or playing laser quest would be a trip. AND if we stayed there, we have a chalet nearby that sleeps 8. Just throwing that out there... The minus side is it may not be real convenient for peeps...just an idea. Also, Chattanooga may be a good middle spot for everyone and they have a fabulous hotel there, The Chattanooga Choo Choo and some of the rooms are actually parts of a train that they have made into part of the hotel. They have a huge acquarium that is just magificent as well. Just throwing out some ideas, of course Nashville has tons of things going on all of the time... I'm getting excited!!!!! |

Hey princessbelle since you work weekends maybe it would be better just to meet there. That way you ,Shark and Shadowboi could meet up with us before or after work and not use your days off. It's about a 6hr drive from here to Knoxville I think. We could get together somewhere and have a cook out --------- meet and greet thing. Just an idea.

Thinking outloud here.... If we meet up on Friday night somewhere more intimate, say a restaurant or a lounge in a hotel and then Sat meet for breakfast maybe and then all head to the events? I'm agreeing w/you Belle in that the upside of meeting at Pride is two-fold: 1) we would definately have an awesome time and 2) we'd support our family and possibly meet up w/some folks we know and maybe a few we'd like to know. While I can't do the night before thang, 6/17 works for me. If y'all agree let us know - and if y'all have other suggestions, please don't be afraid to put them forth!

Sorry, yall. Traveling out of town is out for me right now due to lack of funds but yall have a blast! Nashville is a really fun place and the Nashville peeps are the BEST! :)

Shark, this is not set in stone. It's just one idea. Let's take and forward a poll regarding where to meet. Choice A: Nashville Pride on June 17th or Choice B: Meet up in Knoxville, place as yet undetermined. Frankly, I think we'd have a really great time - doing either activity. Think about it and forward your thoughts when you can. Thanks..

Though I live in Nashville I am kinda Meh on Nashville Pride. Will have to see. Its usually way too hot and crowded.
