I went to exchange something and came home with a white sundress...58 cents. Wow..I didnt realize how much my exchange was. The dress was 110, 50% off! I didnt even need to use my Birthday coupon.

Dainty sterling silver cross ring. Another score. Was $70, but on sale, and with a friends and family coupon and my birthday coupon. $10!

Mother's day cards.
Peach tea for Mom.

One yard of white cotton pom pom trim.
I saw a girl wearing pants with pom poms on the hem. So I cut a pair of jeans shorter and sewed it on. Super cute. Will be cute when I wear a white top with them while on vacay.

Two pedicures. Mother and daughter afternoon for us!
A big beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Happy Mother's day!

1) paid my first Medicare premium (they bill you for three months, so you pay for three months — every three months, which in my case is rediculously expensive),

2) paid a payment on my six figure student loans (biggest mistake of my life, biggest regret),

3) I bought a few groceries but is tariffs go up, then I definitely won’t be buying much of anything in the future. I don’t have spare money to spend on goods anchored by tariffs that will endanger my ability to stay financially afloat.

GeorgiaMa'am 05-17-2024 02:59 PM

- 4 tank tops, 2 black and 2 white
- 2 sleep shirts with moons and stars on them
- a cute pair of espadrille shoes with black and natural stripes - and I already have a matching handbag!

Soft*Silver 05-18-2024 11:41 PM

I finally bought my half Whiskey barrel for my little water pond.
And while I was at Lowe’s, I got a new screen door and it’s fixings, as well as a grate to put across it so my 120 pound dog doesn’t go through the screen when she sees someone outside, lol. I also bought 40 bags of mulch And 20 pavers. We are going to do a walkway!

Did I mention I bought some roses? A yellow climbing rose, a seven sisters rose that is named for the fact that it comes in seven different shades of pink and purple, a beautiful pink floribunda, And one that’s named mustard-ketchup because it’s ketchup on the outer petals and mustard right in the middle!

Bèsame* 05-19-2024 08:09 PM

Found this at the thrift store while looking for a frame. It's over my bed now. Now I can dream of Paris! It was a fun find! Lol, it orginally came from IKEA.

Bèsame* 05-29-2024 03:02 PM

My main goal for shopping on vacay...to find vintage treasures. Well, let me tell you..
I'm bringing home quite a few pieces of 19 th century lace pieces. (Best find ever!) Vintage buttons and dresses that I will be taking apart. A beautiful great condition red cobra wallet. Some vintage ads. Oh these beautiful aqua beads and fresh water pearl necklace.

A trip to Harrods, scones for the ladies at work.

You know the other stuff..tees, shot glasses, tees( mine is pearl and rhinestones), gourmet chocolate, teas, Disney fun stuff and some art prints.

Too many things….Amazon and Etsy are dangerous.

Luckily I’m not a chronic shopper. Just getting stuff I need for my place.

And popcorn that the store never seems to have (lesser evil? Can’t seem to find it)

And toys for my NC grandson. He has a sister coming in August and I want to make him feel special with all the baby hoopla.

Keeping my carbon foot print terribly small.

Found some very cute baby clothes on sale at a locally owned store for my 9 month old grand daughter. And … I found a sweet blanket too, and a couple of dolls, and some very clever beanie baby stuffed animals. Oh, and more bubble blowing stuff. I just adore her and her parents and her grand dad(my honey). :stillheart:

Soft*Silver 05-30-2024 05:32 PM

Oh my God, I found a garden center that were selling its flats for five dollars! That’s less than itwould cost me if I started plantings from seeds! So I bought a bunch of celery and lettuce and about four different kinds of peppers and some more tomatoes and some Candy onions and oh my God, ton of cabbages! And other vegetables, too, that I can’t remember. And then I got some salvia’s and snapdragons because I needed their prettiness.

Oh, and I ordered some groundhog repellent spray. The damn things are eating my new black eyed Susan’s!
Moon Doggy also got bacon flavored treats ordered we’re going to try out a new brand of wet dog food for her.

Bonjour! From Paris this morning.
I used a birthday coupon and gift card to buy a short denim jacket. All in the comfort of the Paris airport terminal. Lol
It's going to be a long day. Let's see what else I can buy🤔

easygoingfemme 05-31-2024 02:35 PM

Wallet, sunglasses, a new card game, vitamins, and groceries.

nina03 06-02-2024 06:06 PM

Lane Bryant is having a sale on underwear. I bought two five packs of new ones. One is their "pride pack" so all rainbow themed fun ones. The other is mostly pink floral. Super excited about them. Other than that, just groceries.

GeorgiaMa'am 06-04-2024 08:29 PM

Lip stain from Bossup cosmetics: It's one of those clear oil stains that you let sit on your lips for 20 seconds and it becomes the perfect color for you. I really like it!

I also bought underwear because my old underwear is falling off of me. I didn't get anything exciting like pride underwear though. I'm going to have to check out Lane Bryant!

Gemme 06-06-2024 09:40 PM

Today, nothing. Yesterday, I hit up Savers.

I'm in a vicious cycle of buy/return with them. Since the shutdown, they no longer have fitting rooms so you have to do the best you can for sizing. Shirts are easy enough; I can just pull them on and off in the aisles as they have mirrors on the endcaps but pants, bras, et cetera are a crapshoot and, inevitably, at least one item won't fit. So, I bring it back and they only do exchanges, so I try to find something else and then it starts all over again, especially since their pricing is wonky and it's rare that I can find a substitute piece that is the exact price of the one I am returning.

In a way, it's fun but also a pain in the keister at the same time.

Sadly, Pete’s colleague’s mother died. He and his siblings, and their spouses are cleaning out her house, and they had a tag sale this morning.

When we got there, a tiny child and their parent were leaving with a beautiful old-fashioned wooden truck filled with blocks.

Pete selected several tools, and I got an ice cream maker and a slow cooker. The one I have now is ridiculous, way too big to use.

Pete has already put in an order for yogurt!

Bèsame* 06-09-2024 09:01 PM

A photo book. I have over 200 pictures from vacation. I just picked up the photos from CVS.
I'm doing a scrapbook kinda thing. That way I can leave antidotes along with the pictures.

Chancie 06-11-2024 02:32 PM

I’ll see her again, don’t worry

Today was my last meeting with my Lunch Buddy, a first grader at a local elementary school. We’ve been spending about an hour together every Tuesday. She loves arts and crafts, and she’s been making stick figures out of pipe cleaners for the last few weeks. She’s very creative and interesting. Anyway, I stopped at DD to get her a few chocolate munchkins for a special goodbye treat.

I realized I accidentally gave away all my professional summer clothes, last year!
So yesterday, a big box was delivered to me of new clothes that I ordered for my professional summer wear. It was nice to have new clothes, but I have to admit I am grieving over the clothes I lost…

Gemme 06-14-2024 08:53 PM

A bag for Pride tomorrow.

cinnamongrrl 06-16-2024 07:55 PM

A tshirt that says “TRex hates CPR” with a T Rex crying over a patient he couldn’t save….because of his tiny, ineffectual arms. I relate to having short arms…. lol

Not yet, but I’m looking for some big round tall circular raised beds so that I can buy several and put more blueberries in

Bèsame* 06-21-2024 07:21 AM

First thing this morning, a chest/abdomen X-ray. Let's get to the bottom of this!

Have a birthday and things change, shhhesh

A pair of Brooks running shoes. ( um , no running for me..lol) This pair has colors, navy, green, orange. I've always had grey ones. I'm going to be wild now. Lol

Oops...my bad. Black, turq and lime green.

Kätzchen 06-22-2024 09:59 AM

It was last week: I bought a little more time by getting routine vaccinations for Covid, RSV, Pneumonia and Vit B shot.

Bèsame* 06-22-2024 11:54 AM

My new coverlet arrived already!! Its in this medium sized box that's going to explode when I open it.
LOL

I have some things I brought back from my trip that I want to hang before I get that on my bed.

This is a recommendation for an extended warranty I purchased.

I bought a Samsung kitchen suite online three years ago and got the extended warranty from SquareTrade (Allstate Protection Plan) that was offered when I made my purchase.

I've had to use the extended warranty twice and both times left me happy. I had to have my receipts, register with SquareTrade online and make my initial claim online, but it's worth the effort.

The first time I made a claim was when the oven quit working. The burners and all else worked but not the gas oven. They assigned it to a repair company, sent someone out, fixed it, and it's been running smoothly ever since.

This time my refrigerator was over-cooling and freezing my celery, apples, tomatoes, etc. They sent a repair company out twice who said it was a known problem and it couldn't be fixed. SquareTrade replaced it with the same model that arrived today, but it's a little different from my last one. My last one had a permanent 10-year warranty seal on the front and this one doesn't, so I'm hoping I have a model with a cooling system that's been adjusted. If not, I'll just contact SquareTrade again and they'll probably offer me cash. I'm hoping this one works because it fits perfectly in my tiny kitchen.

All of this is to say, I really like the extended warranty by SquareTrade/Allstate. They're easy to deal with and their goal was to satisfy the customer. Just be sure to keep copies of all your receipts and register with them online.

Happy shopping.

I bought a Trapper today! Well, his services. I have been battling groundhogs on my property for 15 years and they have gotten totally out of control this year. I’ve had it! Today he set up his traps And so far we’ve gotten two of them!
They’ve eaten my cement floor in my garage to the point where it looks like Swiss cheese. It’s not safe to go in there anymore. And I can’t even tell you how much damage they’ve done in my gardens!

You put your tomatoes in the refrigerator?!?!!! Not to do! Leave them out, you'll notice the difference when you eat them raw. (I suggest a summer tomato sandwich with a big slice between two slices of white bread with mayo and salt and pepper.) :)

Agreed. Refrigerating tomatoes makes them mealy.

There's nothing better than a fresh tomato sandwich!

Today, I didn't buy a thing but I did pick up some items that came in the mail.

My latest strategy to take care of me…

Yesterday I renewed my license plate tags and then went to a better professional beauty supply and stocked up on all my favorite L’anza & Kenra products (a years worth of personal supplies)...
