I went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and I had 3/4's of a hamburger with lettuce, tomatoe and pickles with a small order of fries. I am currently having steamed broccoli seasoned with black pepper for my *dinner*

Plenty of water with Triscuit crackers and Laughing Cow low-fat cheese for a snack!

Keeping it healthy on these crazy over-night shifts :)

Good morning & happy Monday healthy peeps!

WOW, it's awesome to see so much continued success... way to go! Keep it up y'all!

I managed to get in three workouts at the gym this week! I was having a semi-lazy day yesterday, when some tiny voice popped into my head and said, "Tonya, get your ass to the gym!" I pushed myself a lil' more on each machine.... 20 minutes on the elipitcal, 4 reps of 10 on each arm/leg machine, 50 crunches and finished up with a cool down of 12 minutes on the treadmill :) Needless to say, I felt pretty damn proud of myself for breaking out of my lazy Sunday pattern!

I have managed to stay 5 - 10 points below my target every single day this week, too! The weekends sometimes feel the hardest for me, because we are always out running the roads and usually eat out most of the time. This weekend, I stayed on track!

My bellydancing classes start next week on the 7th, and I cannot tell you how excited I am!

Meals planned for the day:

Breakfast:
a toasted 100 calorie bagel thin
a handful of strawberries
and a sugar free vanilla iced coffee

Lunch:
a lean cuisine
cucumber & tomato slices

Dinner:
a turkey sandwich on wheat from Subway
apple slices

Snacks:
yogurt
100 calorie popcorn

Have a great day y'all :)

I thought it was a good documentary and there was some great information presented in a really clear manner.

Watching it made me more conscious of micro-nutrients in my daily life.

A 60-day juice fast still feels a bit extreme to me, but I thought the narrator and the other gentleman used that time to make significant healthy changes to their lives (exercise and re-thinking their relationship with food).

I am interested in incorporating some juicing in to my health routine.

Well I did go to the gym today and had a good workout after missing 4 days because I didn't feel well. It felt good and even though the scale showed that I gained a pound, not gonna let that stop me from continuing on my journey to losing weight and working out :)

I had my first yoga class tonite... it was awesome!

Good morning healthy peeps!

I woke up bright eyed & bushy tailed (if I even really know what that means, but it sounds pretty good), and I am packed & ready for the gym this evening!

Question for y'all that work out in the evenings... Do you eat dinner before or after your workout? I've done both, and for the most part I feel a lot less hungry if I eat AFTER my workout. Just curious as to what y'all do.

Meals planned for the day:

Breakfast:
a toasted 100 calorie multigrain english muffin
a handful of strawberries
and a cup of coffee with a splash of vanilla creamer

Lunch:
a Light Progresso soup (vegetable & noodle) only 2 ww points
a few unsalted saltine crackers
an apple

Snacks:
yogurt
cutie orange

Dinner:
Not too sure right now...

I hope that y'all have a fabulous day :)

Howdy healthies!!!!!

We had an off week. We still ate pretty healthy but didn't exercise like we should have. Our weight that we've lost is holding steady but didn't lose last week.

This week we will get that exercise going again and hopefully start that downward spiral again.

Good job everyone!!!!!!

PinkieLee I eat after I workout in the evenings. I generally keep those meals light. I like to have a vege wrap, it is four points for the flat bread and no points for all the yummy veges. I don't know what kind of dressing you use, but 1 TBSP of hummus (3.5 g fat kind) is 1 pt. and 1/2 fat mayo (if you eat that) is 1 pt for TBSP as well. A good wrap for me is six points. And I feel satisfied and full. I find I don't feel well if I eat before I work out.

Just a foxes thoughts.

Wishing everyone a fabulous day!!

Zimmeh 01-31-2012 12:03 PM

I eat dinner before I go power walking and I will have juice after I come back.

,Depends on what kind of workout.....your body needs protein to repair shredded muscles after weight training.

Also, in the evening try to avoid carbohydrates unless they are really complex.

Leigh 01-31-2012 09:05 PM

I'm a little off my diet but I'm getting back on track - its a slow process for me but as long as I stick to it I will be fine :)

I workout after I get home from work. I take my pre workout supplements about 45 minutes before.
As soon as I finish my workout I have a protein shake with vitargo, and creatine. Then I do my cardio.
I usually have my supper meal about a hour later.
