My angel taking me out on a date for Mexican food, buying me a margarita, and the two of us getting the best service we ever had at this restaurant.
We always try to dine in the bar, because it's open air and usually isn't too cold for Timber, and tonight was so mild. The waitstaff there is usually sketchy, so service isn't always the best. They don't designate waiters in the bar, so you basically get the first person that takes the initiative to come ask if you need assistance. Tonight, Timber was wearing hir rainbow paw print t-shirt and with hir clearly masculine looks, there was no question of our orientation. We sat down at our usual table. The first waitperson (her name was Diana) to approach our table was clearly family. She was the epitome of excellent wait service. Incredible attention to detail, keeping our glasses filled and making sure we had everything we needed even before we could ask. She made this dinner at this restaurant the best experience yet. They always have comment cards on the table, but we've never actually been asked to fill one out. Diana made a point to bring one with our check, and asked if we would rate our dining experience. Timber gave her high marks on all points, and wrote a personal note complimenting her care and attention to us as customers. We will definitely ask for her in the future. Still smiling as my honey watches the TV show I record for hir each week, and I got caught-up on one of my fav shows via the internet. Off to share the rest of the night together. What made me smile really big was my son finaly installing my majic jack,works like a charm,now I can call the phone company I use and cansel my account..thats $75.00 bucks a month that will go in the bank for next years reunion.Hes a good son.

today I went to my youngest niece's baby shower. Lord it was wonderful. troubled as she is, the event (birth) is thrilling and to celebrate it was wonderful...
afterwards, my sister and I drove like crazy women to our church, and had a cookie table at the kids' halloween party. They pick a cookie and then we gop orange icing on it and then they get to put a variety of candy on it to create whatever they want to...a face, some designs, their initial, etc. I was suppose to do face painting but two teens from the church took it over when our cookie table got too busy. It was so much fun seeing all these children in their glory, enjoying a family and church based event/holiday. Of course I am pagan catholic, so halloween/samhain is a very important holiday for me! I brought home a punkin and a large bag of candy for the neighbor boy. It was a surprise and when I gave it to him he got silly giddy like only a child can. today was the best! :moonstars: |

My babygirl, looking over at me from the passengers seat and telling me that I was beautiful, even though I know I'm not. Seeing the look of excitement on the kids face as they saw the longhorn cattle approaching, and then being asked if they wanted to feed them some corn. Getting lost in the corn maze being led by each child in turn, hearing them cry out "dead end" as we took the wrong path. Watching them feed the ponies and goats. Overall it was a good day!!!!!!

Today while driving to work I passed by a woman that was walking. She was smiling ear to ear. Wasn't on the phone or with anyone. She was just happy, not a care in the world. It made me smile as I drove past her. It's nice to see happy people.
