I put on a fresh pot of coffee, but I'm thinking I'll take mine iced :giggle: I just mowed the yard and now I'm way too hot and sweaty to cook. How does everyone feel about a cold supper? I've got a cold baked ham, some delicious cheeses, artisan breads....and everything you could ask for deli sandwiches. Hmm...let's see...some deviled eggs, a nice green salad, and that watermelon should come in handy too.... I'll keep poking around and see what I can add. Quote:

Thanks to our resident breakfast cook, Musicman, who puts a lot of smiles on the faces of us hungry breakfast peeps :D Dashing out the door today.....and filling my travel mug with coffee and sneaking some bacon into a crumpet, wrapping it up in some waxed paper and putting it into the purse. Music.....this 80's song is good for the feet, whether in the kitchen, the backyard, or the car.....just watch your driving if both feet start tapping LOL Enjoy the day folks. |

, i do hope that the American folks from the kitchen have great plans for their long weekend. Sun and fun, barbeques and family gatherrngs. Or even just hanging, relaxing, and maybe reading a good novel. We peeps up here in Ontario had a couple days of extreme heat. The city even opened the cooling stations in MAY!!! Today the air feels a little bit better. Jo, I totally missed dinner last night and had to manage on my own *pout* The stir fry would have been perfect.....okay i'll try and be home for the next time you serve it. But....can I check the fridge for a brownie.....please? Musicman has served a wonderful breakfast - oh wow....thank you. Lookin' as good as ever! Poor Scoote - jazzed by both Jo and MM. Well at least you get your soda in the mornings....you have MM trained quite well. :clap: So, for our 80's fans this morning, I've gone on to 1985. I soooo remember going to see Robert Plant when he was doing his tour and offered a free concert in the amphitheatre at Ontario Place. Good Times! Every have an awesome day! |

Enjoyed a leisurely morning with my husband before hy headed off to work, got my workout in, and now my baby and I are headed out the door to run a few errands (no work for Mrs. S on Fridays :) ). I need to go to her new school to sign her up for Little Engineers camp this summer and then hit the farmers' market to get some corn and whatever else looks fresh and good. And I think I'll take Miss K out to lunch today too :eating: They are calling for a 30% chance of rain this afternoon and it has just poured here at home the last two days. I'm hoping we dodge the bullet so I can get some pool time in with Katie before I have to take her to gymnastics later this afternoon. Have a great day! |

:bringcoffee: Fresh coffee is on for those that need a little evening lift...and we can have it iced if you prefer. It's still a little warm here :fan: Dinner tonight is old fashioned fried chicken, corn on the cob, a nice green salad...deviled eggs for starters...and, for dessert, ice cold watermelon. I'll dig that big tub of Panda Paws ice cream out of the freezer for those that want something sweeter...and there might even be a few brownies left over, too. My plans for the weekend are mostly about yardwork and having an open house...trying to lure in a buyer for my house. Hi Jo, you reminded me of a time when I had "company" in bed ;) I was dreaming of this guy on the street that had terrible breathing problems. He sounded almost asthmatic, really laboured breathing.
I woke up from the dream with the wife literally snoring in my ear. I thought i had gone deaf in that one ear. So... the guy in the dream with the breathing probles was the wife snoring in my ear. OH the memories ;) Musicman |

Well, one day i came to Jo's kitchen looking for some coffee, there was this Butch at the back making breakfast. i was pretty impressed, not to mention he is very dependable! So, we got talking about music one day (of course). The next morning Musicman made breakfast and had music piped into the kitchen. He did this time and time again. Then one day, he couldn't make it, and asked if i would step in as a sub, being as i was an early riser too.. And it just went on from there........ ps i have no doubt "Faith" made it as one of the best albums in 1987. My question is: how many kitchen peeps bought the cassette, album or other? |
