Many people talk the talk, few walk their talk.

violaine 04-18-2010 05:33 PM

multidimensionality in art contributes to history, philosophy, textures, and other complex areas or issues.

Nurturing artistic development, irrespective of what form of the endeavor (e.g. visual, performance, musical, etc.) helps a society to maintain it's civility and can calm even the most difficult personalities.

On the other hand, observing those who are without such interactions shows a decidedly different outcome. For example, studies show that senior citizens who participated in Music Therapy had almost twice as much memory retention.

Particularly of interest since we are an aging society and I know, unfortunately, first hand, the power of Music Therapy---it's not only used for the elderly, but, for those who suffer serious illness.

violaine 04-18-2010 06:23 PM

querying multiple prescription drug therapies is a good idea, especially whenever treating elderly patients.

Reducing anyone's difficulties is an important practice, I, however, believe in a variety of therapies and not all of them subscribe to Western medical philosophy and/or pharmaceuticals.

spirituality, including meditative techniques, as well as the diet of an individual, may all be considered forms of 'medicine'.

Xzibit was on the house make-over show last night...he seemed a good natured fellow... (and, his name conveniently starts with the letter 'X' as needed for this endeavor)
