I got a lot of little things done that I've been putting off... wrote some thank you notes, made breakfast and coffee, caught up on text messages and email!

Guy 04-02-2011 02:13 PM

Back to Lowe's for many more paver/edgers, and sprinklers. While I was there I picked up air cleaner filters for the house.

Stopped at Home Depot bcuz the keys I had made for the front door didn't work, so he made them again, this time the right way, and they work fine now.

Then to walgreens and picked up a few cases of bottled water. Then home, unloaded the truck, and then will probably lay some pavers tonight as the sunsets.

scootebaby 04-02-2011 02:27 PM

although it doesnt seem like a lot,it is considering i am supposed to be on strict bedrest

with the help of the Prince we emptied dishwasher then loaded it,
took out bathroom trash
he took out rest of the trash
rescued a half dead lizard thingy from cats and put it over fence
made our bed
managed to rig up screen on slider door so we could open main slider
finally took meds that were way overdue.

managed to get Jo to let me help just a little to bring in groceries

Well, I'd make the assumption that you woke up, for one. Possibly had some food at one point or another. Logged onto here and posted. Maybe a chore or two?

Jaques 04-02-2011 03:45 PM

I spent 4 hours painting my garden walls Cornish Cream............was a tedious job but looks terrific......

SnackTime 04-02-2011 06:25 PM

I accomplished making my shoulder sore, however, I DID get the steps fixed to the deck today.

Starbuck 04-02-2011 11:27 PM

My gf and I got a pretty good head start on her raised vegetable garden today. After clearing the site she wanted to use, we got the sides put up, the chicken wire and fabric underneath to keep out the moles and weeds, and added top soil and manure, but then realized we needed more top soil before we could add the potting soil. So it's going to take another trip to Lowes to get more potting soil once they get another shipment in (we need like another 15 bags). What's more, we worked on our tans (whoo hoo!), played with power tools, and had a blast doing it. I love getting dirty playing in the dirt!

Rockinonahigh 04-03-2011 12:14 AM

I slept late..needed to'
Fixed a very late brunch for me and my son.
Read a good adventure/action book.
fixed dinner..pot roast mmmmmm good.
Now im trying to go to sleep but cant....grrrrr.

Special day with my grandaughter

I pick up Leah and we went to Central Market for lunch after we picked up my son and we drove to the play ground at the Muller and Leah played for hours. Leah held her uncles hand and they walked to the ice cream truck and he bought her an Ice Cream. We had a beautiful peaceful loving day together the three of us. Leah loves to spend time with her grandma and uncle and we love love sharing time with her. Tomorrow we have other plans. Since she is spending the weekend with us.

Oiler41 04-03-2011 06:45 AM

Yesterday

Yesterday, I watered all the palms and other plants in the back yard,
Washed the patio down (lots of pollen dust around),
Put the patio heater away; don't think we will need it again in later in the year,
Got my laundry for the week done,
Ordered some new shorts for the summer,
Cleaned up the yard clock and changed the batteries,
Showered and went out for a lovely celebration dinner with my wife.

Today, fill the bird feeders,
Go look at (buy if we find what we want) new patio furniture and buy a new grill,
Fill my car for the start of the week,
And perhaps a few other odds and ends type stuff.
Mostly just relaxing for the day!

Yesterday - went on a sparkle safari, bagged something beautiful shiny and, of course, sparkly!

Didn't get lost on the way and didn't bring home the original object of my sparkly desire...

Oh no, something much, much prettier :awww:

Lazy morning, got up at 7 instead of 6 (my dog Kailash let me sleep the extra hour), walked her (or did she walk me?), had my triple espresso, got ready and took the subway to Manhattan to the NYC Vegan and Vegetarian Festival in the Village, waited almost an hour in line for a disappointing experience: crowded, small room with about a hundred booths one on top of the other, impossible to circulate and taste most of the goodies, I got claustrophobic and left, to walk in the sunshine and bracing spring air. I am back, with the rest of the day ahead of me which I will enjoy, I go back to school tomorrow after a two weeks break!

JustJo 04-03-2011 06:48 PM

Another busy day...
  • awake at 6, got out of bed at 7
  • went to breakfast with Scoote
  • Home Depot - got bunches of plants and cool pots for the yard
  • mowed half the backyard...Scoote did the rest
  • pruned the over-achiever Bouganveillias
  • planted all but 2 of the new plants
  • potted some...made a really cute little cluster of lavender, pink kangaroo paw, catnip and a funky pink spikey succulent in lovely pots on the corner of the patio
  • laughed at the cats getting high on catnip
  • had a bowl of homemade soup for lunch
  • ran some errands ...insurance, bank, then back to the grocery store...unbelievable after yesterday's mega BJs run
  • put the sprinkler on the newly planted stuff to give it a good soak
  • pruned the frangipani tree
  • did some laundry
  • reinstituted the "everyone cleans for an hour" policy....so we all dusted, vacuumed, mopped, scrubbed bathrooms, cleaned the sliding glass doors, etc. The house looks and smells nice and fresh. :)
  • made dinner for the boys
  • munched on yummy nachos Scoote made
  • Now it's "feet up and relax" time.

Starbuck 04-03-2011 09:07 PM

Went to church
Went to the firing range and shot off a bunch of ammunition!
Came home and took a couple hour nap
Got up and mowed the back yard; the front yard will have to wait bc I ran out of daylight.
Folded towels and hung up the colored clothes
Took a shower to wash off the grass and dirt :koolaid:

...applied for a lot of jobs in SA...come on phone calls. :)

Gemme 04-03-2011 10:41 PM

Let's see. We had breakie, took showers, went to Garden Ridge and bought stuff for the house and a big ole bottle of chili powder for our taste buds. Then we grabbed lunch and came back to the apartment and ate. Ebon put the table and stools together while I perused the crafts @ Michael's (and bought a few things too). Ebon hung one of our large pieces of artwork and I offered my opinion. We ate dinner and made a quick run to CVS for a few things. We came back and had dessert and I got hooked into watching Celebrity Apprentice (normally hate the show but like Marlee Matlin) while Ebon ignored the show (Marlee's not enough for him to watch it). Then The Closer came on. Squee! I watched that while Ebon played with the fiery vagina and now I'm online and he's still playing his game. Oh, I took a few small boxes from here and put them in our storage area too. Other than that, not much else was done today.

StillettoDoll 04-04-2011 04:27 PM

Jesse 04-04-2011 06:08 PM

I was up at 4 am, ate watermelon and blueberries
Scooped the yard
Cleaned out fridge
Took household trash out to the curb for pickup
Showered and shaved
Made phone calls
Paid the water bill
Took a nap
Ate watermelon and a cup of soup
More phone calls
Pharmacy trip where I discovered that the new meds cost $190 and that's with insurance, without insurance...get this...almost $900!!! I said bad words and canceled the script.
Home to recover from the ensuing heart attack.

Gemme 04-04-2011 09:46 PM

I lounged in bed after Ebon got up, then dragged myself around the house until I found something I wanted to eat: a Reeses egg. Collected and took trash out, washed dishes, vacuumed, and watched a ton of youtube vids on crafts. I then listened to some music, took a shower, went to work for a short shift. Came home late from work and cooked dinner. Putzed around the house until Ebon got off and messed with him for a while. Let him watch his Stargate stuff and I'm on here, playing catch up.

moxie 04-04-2011 09:54 PM

Up early.
Drove forever.
Worked. (Yay for Spring Break and being able to see families during the day).
Swung on porch swing and talked about cats.
Went to office and wrote a treatment plan.
Made some copies.
Got rained on.
Drove forever.
Worked.
Had a tic-tac-toe tourney and lost miserably.
Got rained on again.
Went to Whole Paycheck.
Smelled some flowers.
Stared at all the flowers.
Ate some cheese from England.
Bought some cheese.
Got rained on.
Watched some tv.
Talked with some people.
Made dinner.

Soooooooooo exciting.

AtLast 04-05-2011 12:49 AM

Gave my pooch a long needed bath. I don't miss giving large breeds a bath at all! Frog Dog does enough shaking it off as it is. But, he smells a LOT better!

Also worked on tax return (yes, I always do it in April, ugh).

Took the Frog Dog to the dog park.

Mowed the lawn, did laundry..... worked on a poem.

And I made a pot of delicious soup!

uh excuse me i did mow the rest of the yard...the BACK yard..which was all of a 5 minute job, stretched into about 15 min bc i was careful not to move too quickly...and cooking--i browned some beef, seasoned it and put it on some tortilla chips with cheese....another 10-15 min excursion--standing almost still..

but yes i am lucky you love me....and i know im difficult, but im bored, cant do much of anything, and the pain pills are taking a toll on my ummm digestive system--so im a little cranky

cinderella 04-05-2011 12:19 PM

Home made from scratch...

Mac & Cheese w/2 cheeses - Gruyere & white Cheddar. Threw in some cooked broccoli flowerettes, grated onion. The result? Unbelievable yummyness!! Two well-marinated pork chops, and voila! dinner. :)

Man, can I cook or what???!!! :)
