Nothing again, BUT I went out last night and am meeting a good friend at the beach tomorrow. So a big weekend for me socially. I have been living pretty quietly.

wondering if I'll be prone to getting the weekends off or if it will fluctuate and hoping I'll be off most times than not! :)

off work again for a long weekend. made some steak nachos and watching football, which I'm not thrilled with my team right now. :seeingstars:

Recently friends asked me to spend a weekend a month with them at the beach. This was to be the weekend, but I got some tummy troubles. :(

Kindly they allowed me to reschedule so I won't miss my time there this month.

So I am home and comfy with the cats. I have a ton of work to do. But I refuse to work after 8pm on a Saturday night. Netflix awaits.

Saturday night hockey game...first since the Minnesota North Stars were sold to Dallas (I'm still perplexed by this). I'll be doing this more often for sure!! I think season tickets are in order. I'd like to see the team stay :)

Sitting in Jackson ,Tn waiting on a load . Debating on going home or wait till next week.

I want to be out dancing or sitting with some friends enjoying snacks and maybe a drink BUT instead I am in pajamas and wishing the annoying little hum behind me would stop for awhile.

I enjoy my own company but not always when I am craving socialization. I guess I will have to make my own fun tonight. Maybe I'll get distracted in some of my ongoing projects.

I drank a lot of red wine (Gabbiano Chianti Classico, yum)
I did partial water changes on 3 of my fish tanks plus I did water tests that make me feel like a mad scientist
I ate tortillas with avocado and hot sauce with sharp cheddar
I watched Monsters, Inc

I cleaned my house, cleaned my ferret's room (which is a CHORE), took care of my dogs and have been watching a Queer as Folk marathon. Now, laying on the couch and waiting for Justin to get home from an out of town work trip.

I went to the rock store today and I got a bunch of cool gravel and rocks for a couple of my fish tanks (the Dempsey tank and the planted angel hex tank). I am going to take out the old rock and part of the gravel then put the new stuff in. I love building caves for them and thinking about all the fry they will raise in there while living out their little fishy lives.

I am roasting a turkey today. When it is done I will transform the carcass into lunch meat and turkey curry salad with cashews and of course stock.

I was gonna try hanging the rug in my room outside and beating the crap out of it with a bat but I think that bit of letting off steam will need to wait for another day.

There really needs to be a nap in a sun beam in here somewhere

I'm not doing a darn thing. 6 days in a row working and tomorrow will be 7. I think I'll be relaxing!

My Saturday night...

I mopped, vacuumed and cleaned, did the laundry, ran the dishwasher. I baked muffins and cookies. Now I'm listing stuff for sale on eBay while watching Dead Like Me on DVD.

You might all want to stand back; it can't get much wilder in here.

Halfway through a 4-day weekend.

Thursday: The two neighbor kids slept over.

Friday: Holls' BFF from school slept over. She is LOUD.

Saturday: The BFF, Holls' boyfriend, my son and I spent a freezing morning at a park (which will be a lot of fun come spring). Then, the four of them went to a mall for a couple of hours while I ran to the grocery store for dinner stuff. Later, I took the boyfriend home (on the other side of the river), and the BFF home (she lives on the other side of town). I was too tired to cut potatoes for the roast beef. It's only 8:00 and I'm ready for bed.

Oh, and through all of this, Izzy came home Wednesday :).

Settling in to watch One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest

The last time I went out, really out, before tonight was NYE. I just got back from a night of live jazz music, wine, wonderful food and dancing!

I am swooning over it all! I am going to get changed into my pajamas after being in a dress and heels all night (that felt SO good!) and I am going to relax with more wine (or tea) and a movie until I get to talk to my friends about it all.

We did some grocery shopping early. Went to see Twilight Breaking Dawn 2 then came home and cooked some Chinese food. Timeee for bed!

I'm going to the movies alone to see an independent film.

I ended up seeing "The Quartet" which was not an independent, but a British film and it was a snoozer!!!! Oh well
