Oh yes, Jennifer is really hot. Despite my penchant for butchness, I think she's breathtaking. Her hair last night...oh my.
I like so many of them. I'm not the biggest country fan, but I actually love Scotty. I love Haley's voice, although I haven't liked her song choices. James is probably my favorite--his talent is so effortless. Looking forward to this season. I like it so much better than in recent years. |
This is the first year I can say they are all very talented, and it's hard to pick a favorite, but for my taste I like Paul the best.
|
Ohhhhh. Ok. I didn't see some of the first auditions and didn't see about him having Tourettes.
Thanks, Gemmie. I loved the opening number they all sang. It was awesome. |
This year, the sound quality doesn't seem to be consistent. Sometimes the band doesn't sound balanced--like I can hear the percussion and not much of anything else. Maybe it's just me. Last night, when Lauren sang Melissa Etheridge, I thought she sounded terrible, and the judges loved her. Sometimes I wonder if I am hearing it the way it sounds.
It reminds me of the terrible sound stage on Saturday Night Live. |

Watched the performances. Liked most. DId NOT like the last guy... Now fast-forwarding through to BEP performance and end of who got kicked.
And it is.... No. I won't tell. :) |
Damn.....I can't remember who the last guy was.

Jacob was better. I muted Pia so I could listen to Scotty McCreery's "For Once In My Life" that I bought on iTunes IMMEDIATELY after hearing him. WOW.
I heart Scotty. That is all. I know who I hope leaves and it isn't Scotty. |
i tell ya this year is provong to be a hard pick, Im diggin Niema just cause she's so different but the kid I have started calling Joe Cocker, cause he sounds just like him is really diggin it up this year
|
I live for Idol... lol. I do not like Scotty at.all - just sayin :-)
My favs so far are James, Pia & Lauren |
I have a penchant for James. I love that we are seeing a face of autism that isn't rainman-ish. I know that apart from my love of his voice, he reminds me of our Aspie son in his mannerisms and facial expressions (minus the tics).
It makes my heart big to watch him become more comfortable onstage and connecting with the audience and I will admit that it makes me misty-eyed each week to watch him. Casey is just an amazing artist. I wish he was a tad more humble. I do like Scotty - I am a country music fan and I like his energy - he seems very genuine. |
I'm late to this seasons thread. I think tonight is going to surprise a few people.
|
I loved last night's show. Motown rocks!!!
Arwen.......how could you mute Pia???? :shocking: She was AMAAAAAAAAAZING!!! WOW!!! Lots of surprises just in the first 15 minutes of tonight's show. I loved it!!! Can't wait to see who goes home. I'm still loving Pia and James. |
Oh I like Pia, Casey, James and Scotty.
WTF?????? Casey going home??? |
YES!!! He's safe!!!
|
Shhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Don't be giving it away. The west coast people don't see it yet. We don't wanna ruin it for them. Surprise ending tho. |

When all the contestants are good like last night, the public tends to be swayed more easily by what the judges say and for Steven to say that Casey had a big ass ego didn't help him at ALL. I agree, Bo Bo. Lots of surprises in the show and, for the West coasters, sorry about the spoiler. |
I love J-Lo. But did anybody else think she had way too much of that blue stuff on her eyelids last night? :|

Oh yeah. Can't argue with that. And that smile of hers................beeeeeeee-utiful. :awww: |

When I was a West Coaster, I just had to train myself not to come in here until I'd seen it or wasn't able to and wanted to know who got booted off. |
Oh hell I did! OK..not to put the blame on anything but me, but in my defense I am sickly and on steroids lol. This is my 1st day outta bed besides going to the Dr yesterday in 6 days. Sorry got a lil excited!
|
Damn!! I was hoping Paul was going home. I hate his voice. Maybe next week.
|
Right there with you Bo buddy. I was loving it that he was in the bottom 3 until he moved back to the other side with the others who got through.
He SUCKS... This is what he sounds like to me all rolled up into one: Going through puberty, mangled voicebox and a drunk Macy Gray (who's voice always irritated me). The minute i'd hear the first note of her shitty song..CLICK..... Talent, what talent?? What the hell were they thinking when he was chosen..He's got to go. END OF STORY... P.S. Pia & Lauren all the way... Quote:

Words P.S. Jacob and Scotty all the way :) |
I was hoping Jacob went home this week. All his songs sound the same, not to mention he's stiff and boring!
|
Quote:
Exactly!! He sounds like Rod Stewart giving birth to a giant cow. His voice makes me wanna shove a fork in my ears. Pia rocks!!! |
I was absolutely fine with the bottom three. Any of them going home worked for me. Maybe Paul will go home next week. They were looking for different and they accomplished that, but I do believe there were better singers than him that were let go.

Dante ..........who is trying to catch up with Gemme's posts. |
This year on Idol it's hard. My favs are Scotty, Lauren, Casey, Hailey, Pia. Not in that order per say. Least fav is Paul and Jacob and Stephano. James however is good also he's over come alot I give him alot of credit. He does have talent . :eatinghersheybar:
|
I agree. Paul's gotta go. His voice is grating. :seeingstars:
I wonder if the talent is so much better this year because there were new judges choosing them from the start. |
Ok, I may have thrown up a bit to hear that Paul person singing Johnny Cash.......that voice! (HIS)
He sounded like a SMURF! Buh~bye |
I would be very happy if the final four came down to:
James Casey Pia Lauren |
My .2:
I have been more and more impressed with Lauren and Hailey over the past two weeks, however last night i feel like Lauren held back a little. She can hit those amazing notes and didn't really. I adore Pia. That girl can sing it, rock it, sling it and bring it home. She's my fav. Bored to tears with Scotty even though i really enjoy country music. We know he can hit it low. Suprise us. James is too predictable although tonight he threw out a little different flavor for the first time. Casey is good but i think the judges adore him too much and it sorta reminds me of the teachers pet. Jacob tried to be different this week but really wasn't. When he looks at the camera at the end of each song like he's gonna kiss it, i feel almost violated. I know i'm one of the very few that actually likes Paul. Not for his pitch or perfect notes, but more for his spirit and energy. I don't think he should win but he is entertaining and makes me smile. Stephano, who has not been a fav of mine, rocked it good. This is belle, live from my living room...over and out. |
I have to say that none of them were "bad" last night. Even Paul entertained me. He makes me smile, even if his voice is very different. Is he an Idol? No, but he surely does entertain me for some reason. LOL
I don't have a favorite. I think they ALL did very well last night. This is a tough year to find a fav. I just like listening to them this year. I dont' find my gut in a tight wad having to be subjected to someone like Sanjia or something. LOL (and I think James is a mini version of my buddy Lambert! LOL) -Moon, who is 5 minutes from IDOL RESULTS... ;) |
