Good Morning!
Nice cool breeze this morning. The wind chimes are singing. Red has been gone this weekend but will return about 4pm today. We are going to see Diana Krall this evening. I work today but it's a short day and won't start until the early afternoon. I woke up later than usual and listened to music whilst playing online and with the :cat:. I'm now eating breakfast and listening to Castle in the background and will get ready and go to work in about an hour.

happy sunday! i have been back to work for 4 days after a week off...finishing up all the "nesting" for winter and winterizing... i still have to get an oil change and or check tires, oil and anti freeze, and i have to mulch the flower beds...not sure when this will get done i am hoping i still have time...because today i went to the grocery store and dont want to do anything but watch cupcake wars...have a great week! :)

Happy Sunday everyone! I actually made it out of bed in time to have something to report about Sunday morning other than sleep. I woke up at 5 a.m. thinking about stuff and realized I needed to see a friend that I haven't seen in a few weeks. She's up at night/early morning, so I texted her and we planned to meet at 10 a.m. I then had breakfast #1 of the day (sausage biscuit), because I couldn't get back to sleep. When I met her, I had breakfast #2 of the day (waffle, sausage, eggs, grits). This definitely isn't a habit, just a matter of timing - double breakfasts are extremely rare. Now it's 7 p.m. and I'm still not hungry.
Anyway, had a great time with my friend. We spent some time driving around in the lovely fall weather. It was sunny and beautiful, not too warm and not too cold, and we still have some beautiful leaves. I hope everyone has a great week! |
happy sunday! where did saturday go? oh yes, i worked, did chores, drove to see my son, went to the grocery store at 10pm to avoid crowds, and went to bed at midnite...today i am going to rest as this week will be very busy with work and thanksgiving...baby shower for my daughters co worker at my house tonite...have a great week and happy thanksgiving!

Grocery shopping, some light chores around the house, talk to family on the phone, make more of that sweet potato/kale salad I'm hooked on, exercise (yeah, right!), work on my postsecrets project, and start watching holiday movies (I don't care if it's not Thanksgivng, yet. My new employee is working by herself for the first time today so I need to stay close to home in case she has issues so I'll be doing laundry, putting away the dishes and working on a crafty project along with addressing holiday cards. I slept in until almost 11 and then made breakfast. My sister and I spent most of the day shopping. Bought a lot of great stuff, there were a lot of deals today. We grabbed dinner at Johnny Rockets and are now watching Mockingjay Part 1. |

It's as lazy as can be. I nixed the plan to work out and chose to sleep in. I'm now eating breakfast and will go to the nail salon and be back probably before the morning is officially over.

It is a beautiful day here....sunny & warm!!! Going to do our Christmas cards later today. Tree is out & ready to put up. We are still looking for our yearly purchase of a glass ornament for each of us. Mine is usually dolphin related or beachy! Had dinner out with a local group of "sisters" last evening. Going out for a bit...again...to a local sleepy little fisherman's village of quaint little shops...there are some really cool shops there. Is a yearly tradition for us now. Was there yesterday...need to return/exchange some Crocs I got for myself. Sending wishes for warm & safety for all affected in the inclement weather zones. Stay safe please! I just finished breakfast, got half of the last chest of drawers put together. That's the last one after doing 5 different pieces of furniture this weekend. Then I can finally get all moved in. Once again I did not make it out of bed in time to wish everyone good morning, but I did enjoy sleeping in. The :cat: enjoyed it too. Will spend today doing a few chores - I need to make a quick trip to the grocery store. I'll whip up some olive salad so it has time to marinate before I make muffalettas this Wednesday for guests on Thursday. I also need to rearrange my week, because I got my wires crossed and double booked Thursday morning. Other than that, it is a bit gloomy outside but warm and I will spend some time with the :dogwalking:. Have a wonderful week, everybody! |

The chill is on but the sun is out. Red and I are going out to eat at "The Drake" in OKC today to celebrate our 11th Anniversary. I woke up at 6:00 am but stayed in bed with the kitties and watched the news. Got up just in time to watch CBS Sunday Morning News and have breakfast. Now I feel like a nap! :)

I'm sick too, cricket. I will be having some chicken soup as well today, and trying to maximize the optimal balance of cold drugs that prevents the worst of the misery. I plan to keep the couch warm with the :dog: and :cat: and binge watch _The Man In The High Castle_. Also, I'm going to frost the yellow cake I made last night with chocolate frosting, and eat it! It's a very small cake, 6" diameter. It's an indulgence, but cake is the only thing I want to eat when I'm sick. If I'm still this sick tomorrow, I might make cran-orange muffins. If I feel better later, I might work on a craft project. Have a good Sunday everybody! |
Illness must be in the air. I feel like I am fighting something myself. I also think I will keep the couch company today. My sweetie has been sick with a bad cold this past week and is just starting to feel better.

Happy Anniversary Okie & Red!!! Had brunch with my local lesbian friends....I love these Sunday brunches!! Am working on some crafts & postsecrets!!! Shhh....:). My "snowglobes" were such a hit, now several want me to make them some, too! Our microwave went on the blitz last evening...oh joy!! Oh Property Manager....we need a new microwave for Christmas...this ought to go over well....NOT! Owner HATES spending any $ at all on this place! Easy day to rest for the week..
Decorate the bare twinkling tree. I took the turkey wings from the freezer and going to make magic feel good soup, along with everyone else:) Also going to use up the rest of the stuffing, found a frittata recipe. And, use up the eggnog...eggnog cupcakes. Finish up Christmas cards? |

I've had a wonderful Sunday! I slept in until 10, had coffee and took Sadie for a walk. Still too hot here for me to walk for long until, except for evenings. Got some shopping done, had a late lunch, took fun pics of Sadie with her new

The morning was not quite as easy as usual. I was at work before 10am today but got out a bit early too. Work wasn't bad but what really made me unhappy was smashing my toes into the leg of my mini trampoline. Breaking a toe is never fun. :(

I stayed in bed with the kitties and watched CBS Sunday Morning News on TV. A cold front moved in last night burr. Soon a big breakfast then football.

I just got home from coffee and donuts with my son and his family. Got lots of hugs from the granddaughters, went over sounding out sounds with the one in Kindergarten and had some great conversation.

It's been a good morning. I woke at 4:43 and said NO. I rolled over and got another couple of hours or so and then fed the :cat: and gave him his meds and then he ran from me while I got ready for the gym. An hour and change at the gym was followed by half an hour at Benny's and then another half an hour at the grocery store and then I got home and settled and had most of my breakfast before the clock struck high noon.

Only 5 Days until Christmas. I am finished with all of my shopping. As per every year Red has not even started. LOL. We are actually trying to be as low key as possible this year. We really want to take a nice vacation this next year and plan on saving money to do so. Hope everyone has a nice easy Sunday and an even better week ahead.
