More weird weather in the Atlanta area. Very cold and dreary yesterday and I thought it looked like snow. Barely made it into the 40s. Last night the temp went up instead of down; at 6 am it was 55 degrees and will rise to the mid 60s with severe thunderstorms and possiblity of tornados. Warnings are already out on the western side of the state. Tomorrow very cold and sunny. Praying for Spring to get here!!!

It's snowing! I know I am just as surprised probably as the rest of SE Ohio, but I was not expecting snow, much less for it to stick. Still, it's a nice change from Alaska, where I would have gotten snow in like October, snow that stuck around until May.

The National Weather service is on site now and declared it was a class F2 tornado that hit the neighborhood in Buford, Ga. One man was killed when a tree fell on his car. There was a tornado watch but no warning. 56 houses were severly damage and was house was totally destroyed!

The rain has now to turned to snow. At the very least, it is not bitter cold.. yet.

Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and Nature Preserve
Well, it's 23 with four inches of snow on the ground. I have a camp of cold Deer here now at the feeder. The Cardinals, Bluejays, Doves, Squirrels, Sparrows, Starlings, and Finches look a little stiff at the bird feeders. The Raccoons and Possum have been hibernating.
