All people with blue eyes have one common ancestor...

People with blue eyes have a single, common ancestor, according to new research.
A team of scientists has tracked down a genetic mutation that leads to blue eyes. The mutation occurred between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago. Before then, there were no blue eyes.
"Originally, we all had brown eyes," said Hans Eiberg from the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Copenhagen...

I fail to remember that sometimes the only one I amuse is myself.

I realize I have my share of struggles and obstacles to overcome, demons to face, and daily annoyances that I try to deal with gracefully. But sometimes I'm just struck by the beauty of life and the blessings that are constantly showered down on me.

I'd like to just take a quick second to roll around in the gifts that abound like family and friends and loved ones, furry critters, an immensely curious disposition that constantly leads me on crazy adventures and this odd life I've created.

I am thankful.

Does anyone remember last Saturday I said I drove 60 miles for a picnic and when I got there the bottom fell out of the sky and it poured rain?

Welllllll..............the KFC's with a buffet are few and far between around here. Drove 30 miles to have supper at the KFC buffet. Drove into a thunderstorm on the way and when I got there..........the power was out on that whole side of the road. ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!! So I didn't get KFC after all. Shakin my head I must not be living right or something.

I hate the one day a week I have to go in at 8 am. I get up at 6 and already feel like half the day is gone. Puts me in a funk all day.

JakeTulane 08-06-2010 04:42 AM

Damn, I bet that is going to leave a mark. However, it was good pasta salad.

JakeTulane 08-06-2010 01:10 PM

Overheard on the phone: "I am de-crapping"
