My home is my sanctuary, a place that's quiet and free of strife. I prize my quiet home. ..... and it brings me joy, to know that life at home can be my safe place.

I took my three year old grand daughter to her first horse and tack auction. She sat for FIVE hours during the sale, waiting until 1130PM for the horses to come out (tack sells first, and its an evening sale) omg...she was almost falling asleep until they rigged the area up for the horses. She clapped her hands and held them to her face and her eyes widened...she giggled and sparkled and squealed...everyone around us was SO enjoying her reaction. people remarked over and over how wonderful it was to see someone so young be so in love with horses!

She got a horse brush, a new helmet, a pony saddle blanket and some flowers at the auction. This kid is SO my kid! LOL.

It does bring me great joy to have a grand child who loves horses so much. She came to us this way...all we did was put her together with them. I am so glad we kept her pony, Tull. (as in Jethro)

To me that's exactly what home should be. I'm hypersensitive and I can't dwell or thrive very well in a place that is always noisy, hectic or chaotic. There's enough of that in the outside world and I cherish the ability to control if all I want to hear is the calming breeze, birds and trees outside.

Receiving a message from someone I hadn't spoken to in a long time. Someone who I thought wouldn't want to speak to me again. It felt good to see they were still there for me if I needed them and that we're good.

I have to say she brings Me so much joy... couldn't imagine My life without My babygrl.. I am one lucky Daddy

Nothing in particular ... just EVERYTHING! :)

I am off work today, outside and could not ask for better weather. I am getting a lot accomplished but taking it slow. Don't plan on knocking myself out today ... just easing on into it.

Having dinner with my adopted Turkish family and having time to visit with my granddaughter. She gets cuter every day and today I saw her walk alone for the first time at 10 mo.

I had a challenging day but I did get joy in getting to hold the great granddaughter of one of the women I help at work... and that was joyful. I also was able to provide safe housing for a woman who had been patiently waiting for quite some time under some very rough circumstances.

Another unexpected phone call.

my grand daughter spent the night again and we bought her a dinosour egg, the kind you pop into water and 12 hours later, it hatches. Lord love a duck! She was so delighted with this simple thing! She checked it all the time, and this morning discovered it had cracked open and is slowly drifting apart to reveal the stegasarous!

Between chasing the kitties and bothering the chihuahua (we are careful with her with him) and playing with the toy horses, she is having a blast and this, brings us joy!

Buying some brightly colored pinwheels and putting them in my backyard. :jester::jester::jester:

The first fawn was born on my land and I saw it seconds after birth. Yay! I love fawns.

I gave my 10 year old neighbor an older style desk I had so he could get an aquarium that he REALLY wanted. He was so excited to get it, that it just made my heart feel so good!

I started listening to Isto (Chris White) nearly 12 years ago (?). He's got a his own channel at YouTube. But today, I heard this version of Judy Garland's "Somewhere Over a Rainbow" for the very first time, and it just melted my heart and brought joy to my afternoon.

Got some hooks and shelves and started organizing my little travel trailer better. Realized I have made a little home for myself :).
