I'd like to incorporate some different exercise but not sure what.

Blister Band Aids will help cushion your tootsies and they are waterproof so they will stay on for a few days. Also, make sure you are wearing athletic socks. It makes a difference because they have extra padding on the chafing/pressure points.

I found blister band aids today. I will look for the athletic socks. I appreciate your input, G!

Your shoes matter too. Are you wearing sneaks?

Wrangler, it's expensive but good long-term if you can go to a running store and buy high quality running gym shoes. I buy them a size up and then layer two pairs of thick socks, also sold at running store, and then tie my gym shoes really tight so there is no moving around.

Did two circuits of the 10-station regime they have at the gym I go to, and some extra cardio, weights and floor exercises, because I am SO hacked off that my camping holiday having dropped my weight under 100kg again (was about 104), one week back at work and I regained half of what Id' lost!

Having stern words with myself about portion sizes and not having too many treats, too..

I agreed to unexpected plans today so my gym work-out was split into a before/after getting together with a friend.

Before: 20 minutes stairmaster

After: 25 minutes stairmaster

I have to say I kinda liked splitting it up!

My "After" put me at the gym on a Saturday night. Who did I run into as usual but my new friend, Judith! Again, my gaydar needle was pushing to the straight side unfortunately. She told me she'd just come from church, and she was wearing a jean skirt. Yet I refuse to give up hope, because she sure does hang out in the women's locker room a lot! Hmmm... to be continued.

As much running around I'm doing at work this weekend, sweating, etc, does this count???:jester::jester:

I will be sweeping and cleaning for a couple hours today but that's likely it.

Nope! I danced around the house whilst my washer and dryer did chores.

My new friend got me motivated a couple of months ago to start working out and I haven't stopped. I have lost 20 lbs.

I am now doing 5 days a week workouts and they are daily,

100 situps
10 pushups
planks as long as I can
10 directional reps for arm weights
I ride my bicycle when the weather permits due to my asthma.

I love motivational friends :praying:

I did 40 minutes on the stair master while watching a doc series on British murders.

nycfem 08-07-2017 09:25 PM

I went to the gym in the evening as I've been doing of late. I have one more month until school starts again. I did 45 minutes on the Stairmaster while continuing to watch this Netflix British murder doc series, which is unexpectedly engrossing.

My friend Judith was at the gym. My gym has a t.v. and chairs in the front area of the locker room, and Judith sits there watching CNN. I notice she even wears flowered shoes. She has a Polynesian vibe. We always say a big hello, but from there, we do not talk of anything of consequence. But existing alongside her in the evening in the gym and wondering what her story is is enough. Every time I see her I get a tiny piece of the puzzle, and the puzzle is a million pieces, nearly impossible to put together but fun to work on anyway.

I walked on the beach at a good pace for half an hour but had to hurry home when my spouse called and said she needed me. I'm going to try doing some Pilates when I get back from the vet this afternoon.

Gemme 08-08-2017 06:20 PM

I cleaned. A lot.

Wrang1er 08-08-2017 06:51 PM

I walked a total of 6 miles today. Four in the park and two in town.

nycfem 08-09-2017 12:05 AM

45 min. stairmaster (intervals, levels 1-5). No Judith.

Tomorrow's my last day in town before I go to Portland, Oregon, to visit BB's son, my step-son, and I don't think we have much exercise in the schedule there, so I'll be out of my groove for a few.

I was on a stairmaster next to a man who was grunting and sweating to the point of sweat just pouring off and all over the machine and into the machine. It was seriously like it was raining. It served both to inspire and disgust me. He didn't clean up after, so the man who got on after him had quite the task... I felt bad for the man who had to clean it up until he started talking on his cell phone for a long time.
