Send postcards when you get back in the US.

Good morning everyone.

YUMMMMY.
Yes, just what I needed. You are almost there. Yes, an attorney who will refer you to a specialist sounds like that is wht you may need when you get home
Don't forget my Bahama girl. (I know you can't smuggle her back her) but, a postcard when you return would be nice. I went to the Bahama's and have a nice cup, but..no pretty postcard.

Zimmeh 06-16-2011 07:55 AM

Good Morning Jo Jo,

Have a good time in the Bahamas and glad to hear that your boss is adios! I cannot stand bosses that goes on a power trip and if you stand up to them, then they make your life a living hell...That is what I love about the ACLU..They put those kinds of bosses back in their place and then you can smile and say, "gotcha".

My supervisor is being nasty, but I have learned just to stay off of her radar and my life is wonderful at work. After August 16th, I can look into transferring out of my department and maybe go back up to the front desk.

That sucks what they are doing to Scoote and I would look into hiring an attorney and see what they have to say.

Hugs to all of you!

Zimmy

Sounds like the job is going well Zimmy....I'm so glad to hear that!

:bringcoffee: Coffee is on....and here's breakfast...

http://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townn...4f40.image.jpg

We're in serious "countdown" mode here.....today, tomorrow, the weekend...then we're off on a week of vacation. :beachkids: We already decided that (because international rates and the internet at the resort is insanely expensive) we're leaving cell phones and computers behind....and just going to enjoy each other and our time there without the electronics.

Scoote is still getting jerked around by the insurance company's doctors....makes me furious. We aren't rocking the boat until after the trip, but then I'm hoping that she'll consult an attorney, and a neurosurgeon....even if we have to pay for it out of pocket. We really need to know what's going on with her back and what can be done to get her feeling better.

I'm also in a much better situation at work soon....my difficult boss has resigned and her last day in the office is tomorrow. By the time I'm back from vacation, she'll be a memory....and my new boss is a "hands off" kind of guy. Some people don't like that in a manager, but I infinitely prefer it. I already drive myself on deadlines and assign myself work (did it again yesterday!)....so I'm good with someone who takes a more distant and less controlling approach. I'm also letting it be known that I want to be considered for her job if they decide to fill it.....we'll see.

Speaking of work....I'm back to it! Have a great day everyone! :gimmehug:

Good Morning Tommi,

My best butch friend went to St. Jean de Montes, France, a couple of years ago and sent me back a gorgeous postcard. I put it in a frame so it wouldn't get ruined.

Have a good day,

Zimmy

I know you know, that won't (doesn't) stop me from saying, and being a big busybody...still 'n all...a WC attorney is going to take the case on contingency
you shouldn't be out of pocket for anything...they will have doctors they work with, and who can assess and treat, as well as knowing the whole legal system...it might be smoother, and work better for you in general, if you speak to a lawyer first, and see who they suggest...

and yes, this is nina-butt-her-nose-into-things for breakfast!! :)

all the best to All of us starting the day and planning to do our best...I am having toast, but really not in the mood for much, these days

cheers

Nina

It's my last day of work before vacation....my unpleasant boss' last day at the company....and the Rooster stripped his bed and is washing the sheets without prompting or nagging this morning! :hangloose:

Hope you all have a great day! :gimmehug:

...and :lips: to my sweetie.....listen to all of these good people ^^^^^ :)

We....since someone is off on a wonderful vacation, I will put the coffee on....someone else need to get the breakfast going. Good morning:)

Zimmeh 06-18-2011 06:53 AM

Good Morning Everyone,

How about some honey nut cheerios for breakfast? It is to hot outside to cook anything.

I had fun yesterday hanging out with my family and watching my oldest nephew play with my youngest nephew. I still cannot believe how tall my youngest nephew is. He is taller than my four year old niece and he is only two and a half years old.

Hope you all had a wonderful Friday!

Zimmy

OK. I'll make smoothies (I heard someone say it was hot) That heat will be in my neighborhood in two days, so I will enjoy high 70's until then. This mornings' smoothies will not be green. (I already had mine) But I promise they be both delicious and healthy!

In other news.....in your house, do you actually read a morning paper, or do you sit around with lap tops? (or do the phone thing?)

Dominique 06-18-2011 07:29 AM

WC laws are pretty *etched in stone* in Pa. (where I live and work, for example) if you accept WC assistance while you are out injured, you esentially give up your right to sue. However, if you are not feeling better with in 90 days, you can get out from under the WC Dr's and go to one of your own. But, by doing this, WC reserves the right to send you to an Independant Medical Exam.....It is usually viewed as a cold exam, very little interaction, as the exam is *neutral* and the WC review board reviews the findings. If you stir the pot too much, your employers insurance company (usually a TPM) third party management, will have you followed. And filmed
OH YES THEY WILL!!!

Mr Nice Guy 06-18-2011 07:42 AM

Any breakfast on the table? I'm hungry. :)

Zimmeh 06-18-2011 07:47 AM

Good Morning Yellow Band,

I do all three. I love to read the Sunday funnies, read the news on cnn.com and on my iPhone. I also love to watch the news on TV.

Thank you for the smoothie!

Have a great day,

Zimmy

I would love a smoothie, green or not, as soon as I finish my two cups of cream, with a bit of coffee.

No reason to pay for the newspaper anymore. I get all my information on line. I surf on my laptop while drinking my coffee. And there is always a tab for cnn.com open here and at work. I even do the crossword puzzles on line.

It is supposed to be 100 here in Sacramento on Monday. I am disappointed I spent the two whole days of Spring locked inside.

Good morning everyone! :)

I slept in today...hope I didn't miss out on the smoothies! I'm starving, so might have to whip up some omelets for us...

http://healthy-chicks.com/wp-content...ie_omelet1.jpg

Nice to see new faces and old friends dropping in! Welcome!

I'm making lists of all the things to do before we leave, and I hear Scoote vacuuming in the other room already...two days to get ourselves organized and packed and then we are out of here!

Luckily a nice young man who works for Scoote is going to come stay in our hourse while we're gone, so we don't have to make arrangements for the animals or stopping the mail or anything like that...although I do have to make sure we have food here that he can fix and eat. He suggested Hot Pockets :|

I confess that I love reading an actual newspaper, and used to get the NY Times delivered (only the Sunday edition since I lived upstate). Savoring that and few cups of coffee was my favorite part of Sunday mornings. Since I've moved, I've been reading it online....still good....but not quite the same! :)

Have a great day everyone! :gimmehug:

Dominique 06-18-2011 09:17 AM

I read several newspapers on line, but still get a sunday paper delivered. I wind down my sunday evenings by reading the actual paper. I'm trying to think where I was at yesterday, (DUH) that I saw four younger folks all sitting at a table, and they all had their phones out and all were flipping thru and texting away. I thought to myself, I see they enjoy each others company.......

Glad the smoothies were a hit...,and I kept Jo's kitchen all tidy. Now, for you early risers, I'll be awake making green smoothies long before the sun comes up tomorrow.

Have a great day, my bicycle is calling my name......(I just finished roasting off 8 sweet potatoes) will be doing different things with them during the up coming heat wave......)

My goodness, use sunscreen.

I'm curious...I have never had gravy and biscuits. Nor have I ever seen them, I don't think.

So, I am wondering...when people say I had "gravy and biscuits", is it always sausage gravy, or are there different types and this is why you are saying, "sausage gravy"?

Dominique 06-19-2011 05:16 AM

Thought I'd make something substantial before the vacationers head out. I need a person to tend the grill, anyone up yet? Espresso, or Latte if you prefer, waiting on you....thats what I am sipping with biscotti.

I have these smoked pork chops, that I will baste with lite maple syrup and roll onto crushed cashews. They'll need to be grilled on the top rack of the grill.......

Inside the kitchen, I'm making pancakes with blueberries, and on the side watermellon slices. I'm engrossed in my laptop reading the news, come say hi.
