Early afternoon, the joy will start! I've been looking forward to Friday for days...this is number nine. Time for a day off!

Touching base with a very special BFF. It always renews my soul to see my world/thoughts through her eyes.

I don't get to connect to het too often, but she is very much in my thoughts. Our friendship means the absolute world to me! Thank YOU!

When we get to chat it always makes me smile....

Gemme 01-26-2018 09:12 PM

Conversations.

I made dinner for my aunt and her friend. I was just reflecting on how much I love to play hostess.

It's interesting because I used to view this act as anti-feminist - getting all dolled up, and spending hours chopping, dicing, mixing, sauteing. Then the refilling glasses and plates all night.

For whatever reason, I've gravitated toward the kitchen a lot more, lately. I think feeding others fulfills some primal need. That is, when you're cooking for people you like.

seeing that handsome face.... :heartbeat:

When arriving home today...

There's a livestock watering tank turned upside down beside the shed...I got so tickled watching tiny birds have so much fun taking a bath in the rain puddle on top that tank and on the roof ridges of the shed. They were so happy in the sunshine, I think they were announcing Spring!!

Kenna 02-05-2018 09:33 PM

A tiny one pound puppy having puppy dreams.
Her big brother WooBear is warming up to her.

CherryWine 02-23-2018 09:56 PM

The daffodils are blooming as are the Bradford Pears with their stinky white flowers. Spring is on its way!

Helping my customers who are getting married in June after 9 years together and 2 children find the perfect wedding set tonight. I put a rush on the ring sizing (4 3/4) for them and their appreciation was so evident!
:sparklyheart:

Dinner out with my snuggly guy and now We're watching The Bourne Identity together. The fur babies are quiet and snuggly too. It's a nice ending to a nice day, despite the rain.

I got my hair cut off super short and I'm loving it. Only trouble – I got my eyebrows waxed as well which I'd never done before. It didn't hurt like I thought it would, but now I have red swelling both above and below my eyebrows! This not an attractive look.

Gayandgray 02-25-2018 02:55 AM

Certainly NOT my job!!!!!!

The swelling should go away soon. Cold compresses help. It's not unusual.

My dad called this morning to see if I wanted to grab some lunch and go see the local bald eagle's nest. There were two eaglets around 10 weeks old, and they looked like they were nearly ready to fledge. Not long after we were there, one of the parents swooped in with some prey. My dad said it looked like a rabbit.

They were pretty amazing to watch! I probably could have stayed all day to watch them if it hadn't been raining.

The little things: Hot bath, hot tea, good lotion, warm puppy belly, and a juicy book

I have been looking for Toosie Roll Midgets for over a week now. I was starting to think the Tootsie Roll peeps had halted their production.

Found some today and bought six 12-ounce bags. These are the thick ones too.

It's on now! Heh Heh!
;)

I feel more than joy but I can't find the right thread. I passed my very first midterm. I got 49 out of 50. I even knew the one I missed.

RockOn 02-27-2018 08:51 PM

Arriving home after work brought me tremendous joy today. :)

Snowglobe snow whirling around the streets, early on; the jumble of old buildings in the little industrial area near the city centre under a fine dusting of snow looking as if they were huddled together for warmth as I passed them on the train; the colours on a shrub picked out by the changing sunlight, now a little washed out and brown as a wisp of cloud hid the sun momentarily, now the green here and there standing out amidst the brown. Being smiled at by a good looking lass and wondering...

Knowing in a few hours I get to hold My godson and kiss his face....

Yes but you have to maintain afterward to see better results.

Mere moments ago, Rachel Maddow described herself as a “childless, middle-aged, pot bellied lesbian“ on live television! That gave me some joy.

RockOn 03-02-2018 04:16 AM

I almost accidentally made two mortgage payments yesterday. Actually, I briefly thought I did but found out I did not. Made me quite joyful to realize all is okay - moving money around in scramble mode was not necessary. Plus, hanging on the phone attempting to speak with a human being in customer service is time consuming.

Something different than usual was going on. The account did not list the payment as pending in the usual manner. Must have upgraded their software and forgot that part which provides user convenience. I am calling today and telling them to tell their IT Department to correct their software ... to throw up a flag in the code, insert their two code routines that they left out

1. if already paid
2. show payment pending

not rocket science ... a few minor tweaks will be all that is necessary. They already wrote the code and it worked great before it was removed.

How lame to leave that out!!! :( No one wants to dig three layers down to see if they already made their payment. Bet I am not the only one who experienced a little burden over this.
