Chatting to a husky-voiced, 50-something butch and her sweet lady friend today. Lately I've been so hungry for local community and seeing them out and about, joking and laughing with them, and then watching that flash of recognition in the butch's eyes when she knew, well, it just filled my soul right up. :heartbeat:

Enjoying a soon-to-be finished deck area right before sun down, honeysuckle on the air, sky clear and calm, no noisy neighbors, a great grilled dinner.... Lots to be thankful for

Scoring some fantastic finds at,my favorite antique yard/farm. Including a gorgeous old, blue and white iron bed frame and metal milk crate.

My whole day

Yesterday - taking a gentle 3 mile walk around Ironbridge with my new friend and date whilst the fitter members of the group (all the rest! went on a 5-6 mile walk) invovling hills. Just spending time with her in glorious weather and countryside, her pointing out plants and birds that she knows to me as we walked along. Sharing tales at a pub whilst we paused for a rest. A delightful wee picnic in a shady flower meadow. Feeling comfy in her company, and wondering where this might lead.. Looking forward to seeing her again! :-)

It was a couple of days ago but the joy keeps mounting: My partner proposing and my saying yes...:toast::love1:

Also from earlier this week and still rolling... listening to Sam Cooke. We saw his daughter Carla perform last weekend in a tribute show to her father. She told a lot of little stories about him, inspiration behind songs, where he was when he wrote this one and that one. So I've been listening to him a lot the last few days and remembering the stories to the songs. Makes me happy :)

The weather report. The forecast yesterday predicted high 80's/low 90's, but today it looks like 82 degrees will be the high. Happy news. Plus tonight there may be thunder. I love thunderstorms.

I enjoyed watching the royal wedding. Some of my friends ribbed me about that but I don't care. I am a mushy romantic guy. Accept or reject it but that is me.

After work mid-week last week, I bought a hot, cooked chicken for my pups. By the time I got home, my leg and foot were worn out so I did not give it to them until tonight for dinner. I pulled all the lean meat off it, no skin, bones or grissel. Shredded it and divided it evenly into their three bowls. Then I yelled, "chicken picnic." Watching their joy and excitment while they scarfed their dinner brought me tons of joy. Jeffrey still gets beside himself moreso than Kevie and Jennifer when the food is extra special. They keep me laughing. :)

I went on my first kick-ass hike of the season today. Straight up hill, just the way I like it.

I love that they have "people" names!

My babies...all of them...it just doesn't get any better than this...this is special as special can be...I am a very blessed woman indeed...

Soon I'll be cooking in my own Cob oven and Tandoori oven.

Two gentlemen neighbors with a big truck, flatbed trailer and an awesome Bobcat.

A co-worker gifted me a painting she created. It’s of a woman doing a yoga pose in the moonlight. It’s titled “Be Yourself” and it’s very cool. So pleased to get this.

Went to the farmers market this morning and saw people I haven't seen all winter. And also saw a lady and her husband that I have not seen in probably 3 or 4 years. Sometimes seeing people hurts my heart they seem so old and frail but it was joyous to see them

Scoring several brand new, large, high quality, solid maple hardwood (ready to stain) cabinet doors at Restore for just $2 each. They're so perfect for the projects I'm doing.

One of my sweetest friends, Vanessa, sent me a video of her progress since starting back on hormones last year and she looks SO FUCKING AMAZING!!!

She has struggled with drug addiction, poverty, and mental health for over 30 years but seems to be back on track and I am seeing her just bloom and feel beautiful and it is just so joyful to be able to witness her.

She is saving up for breast surgery so that she can continue aligning her body with her gender and is hustling her ass off to make it happen.
I am so fucking proud for her I might explode!!!

Taking my elderly neighbors (in their 80's and 90's) to a local peach farm/farmer's market/ice cream shop and watching how much they enjoyed themselves.

No matter how frustrated I got at Verizon later in the day, the delight and joy I felt from my dear friends carried me through.

In about 2 weeks I am going to live my dream. I really cannot believe it. Today I am going out to take a look see at it all. Good things come to those who wait.

Having lunch with my rowdy friends. So nice to relax and laugh over lunch.
