A few years back the SB commercials were actually artfull, very creative.... the Cajun/Bayou Bud commercials were great (1980's). That was when the thing with watching SB commercials got started. Now, I don't think they are very creative at all. Ut, oh... an I showing my age? Bring back the reptiles!!!

Wasabi flavour crisps are to die for, do you have Seabrooks Crisps over there? They make a fabulous 2Chilli version too. Spicy!!

eeek! no heating in a truck over-night, that's gotta be Baltic (UK expression for really rather chilly) ...I hope you're thoroughly warmed now. :D

Well, I'm so glad I stayed awake until 4am to watch the game :dozey: ...I ate far too many Seabrooks Wasabi Crisps (potato chips)

Good grief, who ever thought of putting half of the Who on at half time. It was like watching my Pops trying to be a rock-star. :whoop:

it was alittle sad...they were trying so hard.......they were off key and out of breath...but the man can still play that dam guitar

Hi all! just popping my head in to see what is going on.
Watched the game last night - very exciting! Missed most of the 2nd quarter because I had to take my nephew over to a friend's house.
As for The Who - while we were watching them my sister said "All they're playing are the theme songs to CSI shows." And I could have done without seeing so much of their stomachs! That might have been something 20 or 30 years ago but now it was just gross!

Incubus - I was in the UK a couple years ago and brought back some crisps for one of my nephews - because the flavours they had there weren't available here yet. He really liked the roast chicken flavour! I got him a couple others but don't remember which ones.
I remember when I was a kid - I liked the dill pickle flavour. Tried it recently and was completely grossed out!

I'm glad your nephew liked our crisps Wryly ...we have some weird and wonderful flavours to be sure...most aren't my cup-of-tea, like you say our palate changes over the years. The new spicy hot ones have me hooked though, I can plough my way through a large (uk) bag in very short order just like I did last night watching the game :eating:

Although we've had SB coverage here for some years (swapping between 3 channels with varying success) our coverage is UK centred so we don't get your commercials, nor do we get the sheer volume of commercials you guys get...it's fantastic that SB coverage is now from the BBC so there are no commercials except 2 last night, one for the upcoming Winter Olympics Coverage and another for a programme Michael Johnson has made about downhill skiers........not a Bud or Pepsi in sight....or a Findus fish-finger either for that matter! ;)

I've just been talking with Ingress tonight and we can't remember Bud commercials here before 1990, it's an import for us and the bottled lager market only took off here around 1990... can you find me a link to the Cajun/Bayou Bud commercials please I'd like to see them. :cheesy:

It was decidedly 'asthmatic grandad rock' and sadly only a half a band. The light show was very show-biz and rather fantastic it has to be said but the bottom line is, they were a shadow of their former selves (although not in girth)....I have to agree though, Pete still rocks out a great riff :guitar:

Hi all!

Just put the finishing touches on dinner (butter chicken) and waiting for everyone to get ready to eat.

Not much going on today - bill paying and grocery shopping.
Tomorrow I'll fix chilli in the crock pot and then head out for a nice walk - if it isn't too cold.

Incubus - sorry to hear about your loss.

MS - hope you are able to thaw out! Too bad about the truck. Where are you now?
I like both Applebees & Cracker Barrel - but there isn't a CB here in Canada. At Applebees I usually have a steak - don't bother with the WW menu - although I should!

Sunny - sorry to hear about the snow! Another foot! wow - too bad there isn't anyone there to shovel for you.

DELSDAUGHTER - you're getting hit with more snow too? That is rough - sorry to hear about it.
