Kiddo was still home sick from school and I had a busy day at work...soooooo....it's taco night! No honey...not taco bell tacos....on the table are tortilla shells nice and warm, plus bowls of spicy ground beef, chicken, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese....and of course my homemade salsa and fresh guacamole.

Dessert is build your own ice cream sundaes....and I'll get out all the different sprinkles and colored sugar to decorate with, cuz I know some of the girls might like that! :)

Does anyone know where Darien, GA is? That is where I am meeting my ex sisinlaw to get the kids and I am afraid I might get lost, hehe..OOpps..

Well my son is well enough for school today (yay!) and I've already got the house tidied...been a busy girl. Just have to vacuum and I'm all set. I've got people coming this morning and this afternoon to look at it for renting, someone coming tuesday night to look at it for buying (yes, I'm working every angle :giggle: )....and a mover coming this morning to give me a quote...plus all my Friday conference calls for my paying job....wooooooo I'm tired already! :blink:

Breakfast is on....hash browns, omelets made to order, and a dozen fresh blueberry muffins warm out of the oven. :) Dig in! :eating:

I am overun with ants all over the cat food again this AM. I put out Grants Ant Stakes around the whole house, along every baseboard, etc. like they said to, and well, the little critters just keep coming back every week or so. It is our hot and dry season, so, I suppose they like my cool moist AC house.

Getting a new whiz bang cell phone today, and hope I don't lose stuff. They promised I wouldn't. So many photo's in my phone gallery of our trips that I like to look at..


Well I am going to search for the ant entry point when daylight is better. Maybe a psychic could help. Any suggestions :seeingstars:

Do you have a live account with Microsoft? When I upgraded my phone and changed laptops this year, I put all of my pictures on their SkyDrive.

What kind of phone are you getting? If you get an iPhone, I can help you with that. I have had mine since July of last year and I am thinking of upgrading to the 3GS and giving my old iPhone to my 13 year old nephew. Have to talk it over with his mom or I will add him to my account.

Have you tried putting Boric acid in your cupboards? That is what my mom uses to keep all of the bugs out of her house.

Dinner tonight is pork chops, homemade mac and cheese (extra cheesy for you baby :cheesy: ), steamed broccoli and carrots, and a nice green salad.

Dessert? Hmmm.....I'm leaning towards angel cake and fresh berries, but I know Scoote will be looking for some :chocolate: after her long day. She's had a crazy week. Maybe I can bake one of my hot fudge cakes along with the angel food...and everyone can decide for themselves how naughty they want to be!

I heard from our Musicman...he's working his proverbial hiney off...and won't be able to be in as often. He sends a hello to everyone though, and said he'll be in when he can. I know he's missing us as much as we're missing him.

Tommi...I was on an ant slaughtering mission myself yesterday...just the tiny sugar ants that always seem to find their way in this time of year. I put a drop of Terro on the kitchen counter and they all clustered around it like crazy. Not a sign of them today, but who knows. The super icky item of the day was finding a centipede (millipede?)...one of those that looks like they're covered with hair because they have so many legs...right in my bathroom sink. Ick...

Zimmy and Lips...glad to hear school is moving along...maybe we can get chrisbutch in here and the three of you can have a study group. :) I'll even bake cookies for you! :cookielove:

Thanks Zimmy! I have someone coming to look Tuesday evening, so I'll be doing a thorough housecleaning tomorrow so that I'll be able to do just a quick tidy on Tuesday. I did find someone who may want to rent my place starting in August...we'll see. Right now we're in a confusing time...trying to coordinate getting this place filled or sold, but needing a place there on the same timing too...ack! I'll be glad when it's all settled! :blink:

I got sunburned yesterday and now I look like a lobster...I put on sunblock with an SPF of 45 throughout the birthday party and it didn't work...

For breakfast we shall have: eggs<any way you want them>, cheese for the eggs, crispy hashbrowns, toast, jam, jelly, and butter. Fresh squeezed Florida orange juice, milk<all varities>, coffe<decaf, regular, and extremely strong>, sodas for Scoote and Braedon!

Have fun I am going to Target once the baby wakes up to find some Aloe..

Sorry i haven't been on much or for long. Summers are swamped for me. All this rain has me mowing far too often. Seems like all I ever do is work but luckily a cute friend came and helped me this weekend. I wish hy lived closer. But I'm caught up until next week! I'm taking applications for house boys!

Dark_Crystal there are quite a few products that have sunblock and insect repellent. I'm not sure I'd want them on my skin tho. But if you must check a outdoor sporting store. Or you can get some kind of natural sunblock lotion or oil and add essential oils insects hate like rosemary, peppermint, lavender.

Poor you Zimmy...ouch! Banana Boat makes a great product...trying to remember what it's called, but it's a blue gel that is aloe vera with a mild pain killer in it too. Grrr...I'll try to remember the name, but we just call it Blue Goo.... My son's a redhead and both he and I burn easily, so we swear by the stuff. And don't worry...as blue as it is, it actually won't stain your clothes.

Thanks for putting breakfast on Zimmy and Lips! I'm definitely ready to have a giant cup of :coffee: and then :girleating:

:bringcoffee: I'm putting on a fresh pot to go with dessert, but you might want a nice glass of :wine: to go with dinner. I made a really nice risotto with chicken, white wine, caramelized onions, carrots and fresh asparagus...and it's might tasty if I do say so myself :giggle:

For "afters" we have freshly baked brownies (one batch with walnuts and one without)...and of course you can turn them into sundaes if you prefer...with vanilla bean ice cream, hot fudge topping, and whipped cream. For me...just a cup of coffee and a brownie with walnuts.....mmmmmm.
