I have wanted all my life to play the guitar and at 53 I am putting my foot down and by Friday's fed-ex delivery I should be working on learn to play the guitar series of teachings! I don't expect to be any kind of strummer for almost a year. But hell I gotta start somewhere, I am 53 dammit!! It has always been a dream of mine to woooooo the lesbians with it once I can play...hehehehe I am pretty excited! I will likely be more of a folksy player, not rock n roll so much. Finally, I own a Martin Guitar!!

Good for you! You'll have those calluses built up in no time it sounds like. Good luck.

maytag 5.3 cubic feet (high capacity) washer ... actually I bought it online a few days ago from Home Depot ($300.00 off regular price) ... picked it up today ... it is still on my truck ... will pull it off and get it set up inside in the morning.

After years and years of sub par garden hoses, that I have spent a collective fortune on, I have finally purchased... (insert fanfare here) a Craftsman rubber 50 foot garden hose (actually 4 of them) . It was less expensive than 3 seasons worth of cheap hoses.

I live in Gulf Coast Texas and, not being a native, have had a pretty sharp learning curve about what the heat and humidity can do to everything (not to be underestimated in the way it is a shockingly volatile catalyst of entropy)

These hoses are guaranteed for life, I'll be happy if I get 5 or 6 seasons out of them; after that its gravy.

Thus afternoon when my son gets home we are going to Harbor freight to get
a wheel chair/scooter carrier so I can use my scooter when I am away from home instead of the dam crutches I have used for so long. I got my chair last Monday and would love to be able to get out side for some sun rays plus general getting about. The day I got the scooter I got an add book from them and was so surprised to find one for $ 179.00 instead of the whopping $1,500.00 I was priced from new ride company. I cashed in one full jug of saved change that totaled more then the amount I needed , I can even get tie down straps and a cover for it so I so it wont get went hauling it around. Saving change has bee a good thing to do and it comes in handy.

$12 worth of crafty goodness, some groceries and some bits and pieces at Job Lot, including a nice hardback about President Kennedy's years in office and a cord for the portable a/c unit.

Smart! They are quite annoying!

New pair of Nike walking/jogging/running shoes - they make these things so light now you do not even feel like you are wearing anything.

Paper plates (for today's bbq)

Fill up of Gas

Vanilla milkshake (to satisfy a craving)

Padded mailing envelopes

Nothing. I got in the car with a list of things I needed to get, but just ended up going to the bank and going home. It was too hot and I was uninspired. Tomorrow is another day.

B&W laser printer and toner cartridge. Cheap, efficient, and toner doesn't dry out.

WhyTF didn't I do this 10 years ago? No more dreaded ink jets in my future!

More to the point; 25 years after PC's showed up with the promise of a paperless future, why did I just buy my umpteenth printer?

New rear tire for my track-only bike, and a new visor for my helmet.
