Being asked to create a spread for an upcoming Tarot deck has brought me amazing joy. It's truly been a secret wish for a long time.

What brought me joy today:

My furkids as always! I just love them so much!

Lynn 03-15-2011 09:52 PM

Joy came in the form of a furnace repair person who got the furnace back up and running for under $400. The house got down to 60 before it was all done, which was not too bad. MUCH gratitude for the easy and relatively cheap fix.

Joy that my daughter is on the mend, after some significant illness last night and this morning.

Also, wedding related: in the mail, received satin, peep toe pumps and lovely place cards with leaves and our names and date in gold. Ordered a small, porcelain ring bowl and convo'd with the woman who is making my brooch bouquet. Much joy here!!

Listening to her giggle at me, I love that sound!

After 2 months of pondering, sending emails back and forth, phone interview, driving 200 miles into the mountains, staying in roadside motel and having a 4 hour interview and lunch with an offer made in the first 10 minutes of the interview that I wasn't comfortable accepting and getting up the nerve and confidence to request negotiations and going back and forth, I finally got the offer I wanted. Looks like I will be moving to Appalachia in July!

Well, two days ago, but I just got back.

The service at Arlington for my brother. I cried, sure, but I knew he would have just loved all that formality and ceremony. It was one of the most moving moments of my life-and my kids' lives, too. I felt totally at peace about sending him off like that.

Kayso, this is really about last night. Went with my daughter & a couple of friends to see a performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Beautiful, strong, and incredibly moving. Brought many smiles:-)

feeling better

what brought me joy today? waking up and not feeling nauseated and having a horrible migraine.
waking up to my new furkids-a whippet who has wings for feet, a cat who rasps instead of purrs and is pregnant, and big Cece who loves affection.
waking up to warmer weather, which helped me breathe better.
just...waking up with anticipation of all the new things this day might bring!
DamselFly
oh,yes, and some new clothes!

What's on my mind...?

That this is a very subtle and subdued example of how I'm feeling about meeting my honey for the first time tomorrow...

What brought me joy today...

Walking downstairs this morning to find the sun coming through the french doors off the deck, seeing the flowers in full bloom and at least 10 butterflies around the jasmine. I took it all in, smiled and felt peace.

Silly weekday morning rituals to wake my honey up and that sleepy smile that makes my world just feel right.

Being able to puppy/house sit for one of D's aunts this week (and even making some extra money, too). It might not sound like fun, but this woman has a bathroom I would kill for. I see many soaks in her big ol' tub and glasses of wine in her garden.

Arwen 03-22-2011 09:26 AM

Reading PinkieLee's post brought me joy.
I think a nap will too. :)

DamselFly 03-22-2011 11:07 AM

furkid

what brought me joy today was having my dog crawl under the covers and collapse against me. having these two new dogs in my life have done more than nything to alleviate the loneliness in my life!
namaste,
DamselFly
