My neighbor came over to thank me for interceding
when his 16 year old daughter had an unauthorized,
unsupervised, underage drinking party this weekend
while he was away.

The daughter came over to apologize and thank me
as well. Apparently she knew things were getting
out of control but was reluctant to call the police
because it might affect "her standing with her peers".

Apparently an adult calling the police actually signifies
a successful party and increased her standing with the group.

How can you not smile at the way the mind of a
16 year old works?

Making a difference to a young mother with a 5 year old who was recently diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.....and setting them up with a Care Manager who can help her navigate the system.

Getting some wonderful text messages from my oldest niecie....about her Valentine's Dance and her sweetheart that's taking her to the dance as "just friends but daddy doesn't know yet". Damn I love that girl!!

on Our/our last roadtrip my dog Silver got groomed and we had the groomer shave head head with a Mohawk. It makes me smile from ear to ear!!!

when a friend came over, my old girl walked over to the dining room carpet, squatted and peed. "Well, hey there, pretty girl, its ok!" is what we both calmly said and walked her outside. Everyone who comes here underrstands her dementia and the randomness of how it affects her. No one scrunches up their nose or squeals out loud. We all know she cant help it and everything can get cleaned up very easily. She is what matters. I love my family and friends. I was very moved by how easy this moment happened. Brought a smile to my face over how lucky I am to have such goodness surrounding us...

I got to meet the little couple from TLC the learning channel!
They came to me for grooming . I got to do Rocky and Maggie.! Sooo cute. They are Darling!
