Seeing Harry Connick live in concert tonight. He is such a talented musician I was very impressed and I actually felt like I was in New Orleans with him and his Orchestra ..... great show Harry

I won 1600 at bingo last night! My daughter and I are off to do more prom shopping, and my Kasey is playing poker in a tourney at a local card club...such a joyful life!

Waking up knowing that it's going to be a beautiful day and the sun is shining, and spending a little time with my baby in the midst of our crazy schedules :)

Bible study, church and lunch out with the gang. Now off to the movies...

Ending a phone conversation with "I love you" causing the rat terrier to wake up and come to me with his little tail wagging. Joy!

Seeing and hanging out with friends I haven't gotten the chance to in a while.

Seeing a genuine smile on my dad's face for the first time since this all went down.

Working in the yard, brainstorming, bouncing idea's. It's amazing to me ......it's like peanut butter and jelly

YES!! We worked hard and got all sweaty & filthy today; moving loads of soil, installing fencing, I got to drive my little red tractor :motorbike: around with its little red trailer getting everything together for the raised garden and mini-greenhouse...but I don't recall getting my hands dirty with peanut butter and jelly.
Oh my! does this mean you planted one of EntycingFemme's Peanut Trees?

Seeing joy in the smile of my 95 year old neighbor while petting my dog. I bring him to have "tea" with her sometimes and they both just have something special going on. This is the only time my little guy allows himself to focus on another human- he is quite loyal to me.

It is as if he realizes how much this time for Emma to touch and talk with a dog means to her. He settles righ in next to her. I don't mind that she repeats the same stories of her last dog while we visit at all. So obvious that that pooch was her best friend.

I swear, my little guy had the same look of joy in his eyes. I just know he would drink tea for her if he could.

These are the things that matter most to me.

Nature brings me joy...

I was so tickled today to find a Teeee-Tiny little frog today. He was smaller than your thumb nail and could have fit in a thimble. He is more than welcome to live in my garden and eat all the bugs he wants!

...Today my joy...

was spending a wonderful afternoon with my precious mother. I took her to see the 2011 Senior Follies at our local junior college. This is a group of older folks that work all through the year to present 3 performances in a weekend of older types of music, dance, themes, along with a full rendition of patriotic songs. Their costumes were all handmade as well as their stage pieces. A gentlemen (age 91) sang a rendition of Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon." Mom applauded throughout and I mostly cried because of the vitality, commitment and talent of these 100+ seniors as they sung and danced their way through the 2 hour presentation. Afterwards we ate a lovely dinner and then she came to my house and we hung curtains in an 11 foot high ceiling living room.

I have concluded:

AGE IS JUST A NUMBER.

And, thanks, Mom. You are my best friend.

The beautiful sunrise, the birds chirping their gratitude for the new day, and the baby squirrels that don't quite know what to think of me & my camera on the decks yet!!
